Bought a 2016 Rav 4 Hybrid in Jun 2016, now 6 1/2 years later and 109,000 Kms…. Fantastic vehicle, average 6L per 100 km combined city and highway driving, original brakes lasted 90,000kms, only needed pads rotors were still in great shape. Very comfortable to drive and very responsive handling. So pleased I bought it.

Was debating between a Used RAV4 SE or a Honda CR-V EX-L for a family car. I daily drive a 2015 Civic Si with that bulletproof K24 engine, so naturally, I would most likely pick the CR-V over the RAV4. But I picked the RAV4 SE due to the fact of the CR-V’s Oil Dilution. Couldn’t be more happier about the choice. Yes, the tech is not as a great as the CR-V, but having a reputable 2.5L and 6 Speed automatic over a oil diluted 1.5T with a crappy CVT is something I can vouch for.
This just may be the most in depth and informative tour that I have seen for the Toyota RAV4. Most tours only mention the mechanical and technical features, not how to actually use them. After this video, I feel very comfortable that a Toyota RAV4 best meets my needs. Unfortunately, I still must wait a couple of more years before I can buy.
Looks very sexy all around, and that's something one doesn't come across very often in these small crossovers. But this RAV4 just the way it is, would be unstoppable with a V6.
Students who have a hard time grasping concepts and formulas need further individualised attention which can be obtained in private H2 physics tuition lessons. First, the tutor performs a dynamic assessment to gauge the learning speed of the student and which topics they might be having difficulties understanding. The outcome of this assessment is then used to modify the teaching methods and lessons as well as adjust the teaching speed to meet the specific needs of the student.
You missed the sun visor extenders. We live in Kansas and bought one today. Traded in 2013 Honda CRV. WE feel like the RAV 4 has a better ride, less road noise too. Love that the back seats recline as well.
Loved the video....still have a couple of questions -- 1. above the radio center system there is a strip with a flashing red lock light -- what does this indicate? and 2. could I see a demo on how to use the middle seat in the back? Thank you.
First off, great video...thank you for the detailed tour of the Rav4 SE. But I have a 2014 Rav4 and there is a terrible glare on the LCD info screen during the day. Has Toyota improved the screen and addressed this issue? This is the make or break factor for me when deciding to lease the Rav4 again in June. I noticed that you had the sun visors up to block out the sun when filming the interior, so it was not really a very realistic view of what screen looks like in the day. My backup screen is absolutely useless in the daytime.
Hi Mike, unsure if you will notice this comment and be able to reply. Do you recommend this over a 2019 Toyota Rav4 Le (fwd)? Do you remember if this had LED headlights? Your tone of voice in a few part of the review for the 2019 was a bit disappointed, like with the center console monitor and some other minor stuff, which makes me think you would probably favor this year and model more. Thanks in advance.
@@MikesCarInfo Thank you for your swift reply. When I was younger my 2nd car after a a mazda 323 hatchback was a '94 camry that I ran into the ground (the suspension flopped) at 464,000kms. I currently have a Tucson that I was hoping to run into the ground but my clutch is giving in at 263,000kms and for overall reliability (having 2 kids), we decided to just look at something newer. I was originally looking at Santa Fe's between 2014 and 2016 but then came across a 2016 AWD SE Rav4 and due to my original experience with Toyota, would rather pay a bit more for it compared to a SantaFe and hope to have it last me a good 10 years with less repair bills. I drive roughly 15,000kms a year which is low considering I live in Canada. I am interested on what SUV you would recommend, thank you.
If you like the RAV4 the new Hybrid AWD was the best one imo. It is hard for me to make recommendations because I live in an environment that gets zero snow and ice in the winter. I have a different perspective that may not be useful to your situation.
Hey Mike great review buddy! I love the new face on this one and those rims are a killer! I'd hate to ask this because everyone asks for reviews but can you do a review on a 2015 Nissan Versa S+
you have a good explnation a bout the car but I Think it is better to test drive and give us comments about the driving experienceito improve the video quality

@@vlopddap1 Maths tutor sentenced to prison for abuse of students The Office of the Children's Guardian says parents are engaging private tutors or coaches without checking their clearance to work with children, potentially putting their kids at risk. It's a legal requirement for all private tuition and coaching workers to have a current clearance, but a spokesman for the Guardian said parents are often reluctant to follow through on the checks. Quy Huy Hoang. Quy Huy Hoang.Credit:Daniel Munoz "Parents often make informal arrangements regarding how their children spend their time and this approach can sometimes extend into other areas of their children's lives, particularly where it's considered a 'private' arrangement," the spokeswoman said. There is concern that people barred from working for the Department of Education for misconduct with children can seek work informally in the booming private tutor market. "This sector includes a large number of individuals who may have moved out of more regulated employment (such as schools and tutoring companies) and who often work as self-employed individuals with children in unsupervised settings, which can increase the potential risk to children," the spokeswoman said. She cited the example of maths tutor Quy Huy Hoang, who had no Working with Children Clearance and received a 24-year jail term in April for the sexual abuse of a number of young students over several years. About 1800 people have been barred from working with children in NSW since the new system began in June 2013. Currently, there is inconsistency across the states and territories with not all jurisdictions requiring a Working With Children Clearance for tutors. Mohan Dahl from the Australian Tutoring Association, which requires all NSW members to have such clearances, said "most parents don't know their rights with regards to private tutors and they really should. "This is particularly the case when tutors who are contractors with an agency go into the home of the child." Mr Dahl said the trend towards tutoring businesses engaging tutors as contractors rather than employees, where the onus is on the tutor to get the checks done, makes it easier for someone to bypass the child protection laws. "Parents should be extremely careful," he said. What to do before you hire a private tutor or coach: Get their full name, date of birth and Working With Children Check APP or WWCC Number go to www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/parentscheckthecheck and enter the details to verify the tutor or coach is not barred from working with children in NSW. If a parent registers to verify a person who is later barred from working with children, the parent will be notified of the change of status. If anyone suspects an adult is providing services to children without a valid Working With Children Check a confidential report can be made to the Office of the Children's Guardian online or by phone on (02) 9286 7219.

The hooks are for a cargo net, so you've got a lot flexibility in how it's positioned.

I really dislike when automakers hold off certain features to a particular trim. When they should be stand alone options. Who wants a hybrid?
i love this new look. i want one. i disliked the previous design. this one looks much better and cooler

Just got a used one two days ago. Pristine condition and love it so far. Looking to really know how to operate the technology inside
The indents in the rear is for the cover. It has multiple latching points.
I tried using the cover in those places and it did not fit.
Love the interior color combo going on in this one...+ Every time I see your DC5 it makes me smile! :-)
Love the RAV4 now Honda you have some competition

Why the back seats' cup holders are pointing downwards?
Is there a reason for it?

is there a way to fold the side mirrors

Newer models are usually the better choice. I am not a fan of the RAV4 in general. It is not a bad vehicle it is just subjective opinion.

It was standard equipment. If you want to add it to a vehicle then look at pricing for aftermarket kits.
I'm surprised about the mpg! come on toyota!
