Tara Fazio We used to be able to find the same stuff, until about a year ago. Now you can find mostly the same brands but they’ve changed drastically in recent years, as the makeup industry as a whole essentially rebranded methods and demands.

Good start for me was a toner I found for 8 bucks called thayers witch hazel toner with rose water. I have dry combo skin and it helps a ton. It's pretty clean according to think dirty. Not sure what shell recommend but I noticed a difference

I only ever use free mascara samples. I can’t even tell you the last time I bought mascara. It has probably been more than 5 years. It’s a magical makeup loophole.

Yes I stopped buying mascara because I get them from my Ipsy bags, boxy charms and Sephora order!
I get mascara samples from skincare purchases, Sephora points, Ulta, and Birchboxes (which I pay for, but I get the least amount from there). Mostly I look for times when my skincare brands (Clinique mainly, LOVE their mascara!) are giving out gifts with purchase and I wait until then to stock up on eye cream/moisturizer. A lot of brands do this at department stores so it just takes some buyer savvy but you can get a lot of makeup products this way! Skincare too! I usually get moisturizer samples at the same time. I’m a sample queen lol I stock up and pass out what I don’t use to friends
I love doing this, cause then I don't feel guilty replacing it every 3 months.

Girl I bought all my skincare, serums, retinol, vitamin c, oils, spf for $60 with The Ordinary. I've been adding more like toners and wrinkle serums along the way but it's super cheap and my skin is the best it's ever been.

You should do a survival makeup tricks video ... For example... When your liquid eyeliner runs out you can use liquid lipstick or wet eyeshadow.. Or when you don't have lipstick you can use cream blush to tint your lips ... Things like that ... It's just an idea

@@solaithegreat706 right I have a few tricks but I know that tati must have lots... I didn't bring my highlighter to a friend's house to get ready for a date (a very nice date) and I use Jordanas metallic eyeshadow instead and worked even better and I glowed so fancy that night

You actually tried Profusion in the past. The contour and an eyeshadow pallet. I went out and bought it bc you loved it. And sure enough, it’s amazing and my go to!
I've bought some drugstore products only cause Tati recommended. Love the Essence mascara and the Maybeline lipsticks. So far the only dud was the Photo Focus. I don't know if it's me since I'm not used to foundation or what they had for sale but I felt itchy as soon as I put it on and not to mention the paint smell. In any case it really does prove how personal our experiences are.
I love maybelline lip products! Some of them are better than the "prestige" brands that I've tried.
@Skincarejunkie I'm usually not wearing foundation so I didn't want to invest in something I use occasionally. Made me wonder if there would be a foundation that I might like since this one recommendation was not it for me.
@@karaneedham6982 I know, right? I have way too many shades and textures from them but the bullet lipsticks are what I really love.
I have both the photo focus liquid and the stick and I'm not in love with the liquid but the stick is my favorite foundation. If the liquid doesn't work for you then give the stick a try. (It also doesn't have that nasty paint smell)
Dana I I tried the foundation and the paint smell was very overpowering. My face actually started to burn pretty bad so I think I might’ve been allergic to something in it. With that being said, the coverage was nice!
There are so many women out here making the most of what they’ve got, and I appreciate that you don’t overlook that portion of your following.

Lately i truly feel that so many gurus are only using the most expensive products possible (which is fine! I love spending money on makeup and everyone should do with their money whatever they like.) and it‘s just not very relatable anymore... I realize gurus get a lot of PR and try so much stuff so they just settle for the best for their videos. Thank you so much for the tip about using shadows for the wing liner. I can admit, I’ve never done a wing because I’ve always been afraid of screwing up my makeup with my inexperience with liner. But you showing how it can be done with shadow to achieve the wing first and then go over it with liner gives me enough confidence to try it out for the first time. So thank you for that!
This challenge needs to be brought back! The new makeup at the drugstore is soooo different from 4-5 years ago when this challenge was popular.

And I thought that it would be so helpful to see a video where you sit down and teach a makeup beginner how to apply makeup on themselves. And they could ask basic makeup application questions. It would be interesting to see what questions they have that generally wouldn’t be thought of to talk about in a general tutorial. 😘

Tati - "the hate patrol" - just IGNORE them. They are unhappy people who should be showered with compassion. I love that you do these videos. I am with you on the "clean-up" on skin care. BUT make-up is supposed to be FUN! Truly clean make-up doesn't really exist yet (well it does, but it is SO expensive). I appreciate your financial sensibility and that you're techniques teach me so much. :))

Day 2 of a Tati marathon ... and I forgot how much I loved her and her personality, energy etc she's such a *lady* in every way, she's pretty and likes wearing makeup but always so classy, the way she talks is so nice for a non-english speaker like me. Actually I see her as a "Parisian" (I live in Paris and have been from my birth) and this is the kind of woman we all want and try to be.
I've always been afraid of these all-in-one palettes but seeing how the quality in yours isn't bad at all, I feel inclined to give them a chance. It's always great to see you demonstrate how flexible anyone can be with makeup on a smaller budget!
Poor Tati.. literally. The fact she has to say this about people hating just really shows how pathetic people can be. I literally love this channel. And to be 100% -I don’t have strong feelings about the whole “clean-“ things. I’m not against it. But I’m not really into, either. But I’m all for your video. Anyone who doesn’t like it shouldn’t watch! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ like wow.. grow up, people. Really. I love Profusion! It always comes with a good eyeshadow brush and the shadows are always pigmented, soft and creamy and blend pretty well.

You have been very clear about learning more and looking into what is in your cosmetics too. I actually only use full coverage foundation under my eyes, no concealer. Absolutely every concealer creases on me, even though when I'm not smiling I barely have fine lines, I smile a lot throughout the day, like almost constantly, so anything thicker than a watery, pigmented foundation (I really recommend Jouer high coverage it's literally pure pigment) creases on me l.o.l.
Yes, I have tried baking, basically any form of powdering/not powdering, any concealer that allegedly does not crease, etc.

Something I kind of want to see from Tati since she's decided to go a little more natural with product is for her to follow make-up recipes on the internet. I know safiya nygaard did one a while back but how will Tati do. I just think it would be interesting to see.
I love your liner tip! I'm new to makeup but I really want to try winged liner but I'm scared to. I think I will try the eyeshadow tip now!
At the end of the day, right before you take your makeup off, practice your wing liner. Whats great about this is you can practice without worrying that you have to wear it all day if you mess up. This helped me out alot, I hope it helps you too.

I work at target and playing with profusion was SO MUCH FUN. The products are soooo good this year!! I own four of the “pro palettes” and they’re amazing. Some shades are kind of hard to work with, but most of the shades are amazing.

I don't like when people are pressured to buy preservative free stuff because there's a chance of mold growth and shorter life on the product. Always smell test your products before applying to your face, you can usually tell when it's gone bad. even if it's an expensive brand and good lab no-preservative means no protection. even if you keep it in a little cosmetic mini fridge and out of sunlight there still a chance something will grow in it.

People don't realise but 12 months shelf life is a lot. Aqueous skincare and makeup is a bacteria and mold paradise.
Se shouldn't stress about bacteria they are everywhere. And plus stress make Is break out so relaax.
