Elysse are you kidding??? As a native Turkish speaker, I can't believe in my ears! You are so fluent, every person in Turkey can understand you perfectly. I have a lot of foreigner friends who lives in Turkey but I can tell you profoundly that non of them can speak Turkish that good, even though they live in here! Hello. This is my first time watching your video. I am a native Turkish speaker. Apart from your easy to understand and correct pronunciation; your grammar, usage of suffixes and word choice is exellent. You didn't make any mistakes with noun cases -which a lot of Turkish learners make, even ones with years of experience-. Also, you used "...sevmiyor değilim." You really impresssed me there. I wouldn't expect that beautiful, and not a bit awkward usage even from Turkish learners who have beeen learning for several years. Sadly my English is not enough to praise your impressive understanding of the structure of Turkish and its nuisances. Have fun on your learning journey. I sense you will discover far more beautiful feautures of Turkish with your understanding that others fail to.
I love your pronunciation. Keep up with learning and improving yourself. Turkish is easy and really hard to learn at the same time. But you're way too great in 3 months
native speaker here! 🙂 "sevmiyor değilim" looks like easy but it is a very complex structure, and you sound very organic while using it. believe me there are natives who still struggle with double negatives! you even use "gurur duyuyorum", these verb usages are not easy, when you think about how absurd it may sound to combine the word "pride" and "to hear" together 😆it takes time to master, look at you doing it this early. 👏a little note: "kendimle gurur duyuyorum" "I am proud WITH MYSELF" I hope you enjoy your trip to Turkey. with this progress in 3 months, you'll be able to be very fluent (not sure if it is your goal for the future) but very well done!
Elysse!!! I've been doing Arabic at college for a year and I can't even imagine speaking that comfortably and fluidly! You've become my inspiration for language learning and I've even started a channel because of you :3
WOW I am so inspired by you! I love learning languages too! I’m from the US, and I’ve been trying to learn this for almost a year! I could understand almost everything you said, but I definitely can’t speak as well as you! I hope you’re still doing amazing! The way you speak is really clear! Congratulations! You really are amazing!
I didn't even search this, but it suddenly popped up in my recommendation. I just started learning the Turkish language just today because of my love of so wide variety of dizi series. You're one of my inspirations now in learning this language.
You are so astounding Elysse! It is shocking to realize how much Turkish you have learned in just 3 months given that it is an agglutinative language and is really tough to learn like Hungarian & Estonian. You never cease to amaze everybody. We love you!
I can't believe this Elysse. Your turkish is fantastic for someone who has only been learning for 3 months When you say "so I started 3 months ago" don't use "peki". In this situation you wouldn't actually use anything. Here "peki" is more suitable for a question. "So are you going to come to?" would in some cases be "Peki sende gelecek misin?". Hope this helped❤
wow, incredible progress in just 3 months! As a native speaker, I can definitely say you did an excellent job, considering Turkish is not the easiest language to learn especially if you're an English speaker. Your grammar and pronunciation are great. Keep going!
Merhaba arkadaş ! I am Ankita from India n i really like learning different languages n about them, right now i speak Hindi, English n bit of Spanish n Turkish. there is a short story behind me learning bit of Turkish ,few years back i started watching Turkish series n i found the language interesting so i saw more ;) n then i realized by following all those series i started understanding the language n learnt so many words. You spoke almost fluently ,great job done !
Your process seems to be way too good for only 3 months. And wishing you a speedy upgrade in your journey haha. Keep it up ayyyeee!! And btw you can use "kendimle gurur duyuyorum" for conveying you're proud of yourself which would sound more natural 🌻💓
I can't believe it actually your Turkish is awesome, have fun with Turkish series ,wishing you luck I speak Arabic,English,German I'm from Sudan but was born in Egypt
I'm so jealous. I've been studying Turkish for a while on and off, reading books and watching Turkish series on my own, and I'm nowhere near that level. I can understand much more of what I read than I can speak or understand spoken Turkish. If I could talk as much as you, I'd book a flight to Türkiye just for fun and give it a try. But I don't understand the spoken part of the language, especially when they talk fast, well, fast for me. I know everyone says the same thing about other languages when they are learning. At first I thought the same thing about English. It all sounded like a bunch of words smashed together. And this video was a year ago I'm sure that now you are way better.
Do you still learning Turkish? I’m learning English and I’m looking for native speaker to improve my speaking skills. We may help each other. If you are interested please let me know🙃

I watched this video my first week of learning turkish and im back 2 months later to see how much more i can understand without subtitle. My comprehension has gotten so much better. Your videos definitely motivate me to keep going.
1:39 a little bit of a correction: it's better to emphasize the "t" sound there because we have double of them. "git - tim". so it's better if you pronounce the "t" sound two times!
2:18 "soon" = "yakında" :) if you say "birazdan" it basically means that you'll do it in a few minutes or so, but if you say "yakında" it is closer to the meaning of "soon"
I'm taking Turkish seriously as I want to be fluent so i'll use this video as a guideline for my level.. When I can understand everything you said without reading the subtitles, i'll be proud of myself!
