  • wow, I can't believe I mastered Turkish in 3 months 😍 SIKE anyways... here's a little progress update for my 3-month-mark! I think I'll be back with another progress update for my 1 year mark... there's soooo muuuchh to be learned! In conclusion, Turkish isn't as hard as I thought it was. It's not easy by any means, but I was so scared for nothing! I can't wait to see what's 2 come ;)

    Elysse are you kidding??? As a native Turkish speaker, I can't believe in my ears! You are so fluent, every person in Turkey can understand you perfectly. I have a lot of foreigner friends who lives in Turkey but I can tell you profoundly that non of them can speak Turkish that good, even though they live in here! I'm pretty sure you'll get better than that but I'm so shocked! Hahaha, go girl, umarım burada çok güzel zaman geçirirsin

    wow your turkish is really great!! tebrik ederim!!
    also just a little note for 2:14 when you say "birazdan türkiyeye gidiyorum" i think it would be more appropriate to use "yakında" instead of "birazdan". "birazdan" has a more immediate meaning, used for very short amount of time.
    if you told me "birazdan arkadaşlarımla buluşacağım" i would assume you were going to meet your friends in 10 minutes whereas "yakında arkadaşlarımla buluşacağım" implies near future but NOT immediate.

    Hello. This is my first time watching your video. I am a native Turkish speaker.
    Apart from your easy to understand and correct pronunciation; your grammar, usage of suffixes and word choice is exellent. You didn't make any mistakes with noun cases -which a lot of Turkish learners make, even ones with years of experience-. Also, you used "...sevmiyor değilim." You really impresssed me there. I wouldn't expect that beautiful, and not a bit awkward usage even from Turkish learners who have beeen learning for several years. Sadly my English is not enough to praise your impressive understanding of the structure of Turkish and its nuisances. Have fun on your learning journey. I sense you will discover far more beautiful feautures of Turkish with your understanding that others fail to.

  • @ayysl
    @ayysl Рік тому +10

    native speaker here! 🙂 "sevmiyor değilim" looks like easy but it is a very complex structure, and you sound very organic while using it. believe me there are natives who still struggle with double negatives! you even use "gurur duyuyorum", these verb usages are not easy, when you think about how absurd it may sound to combine the word "pride" and "to hear" together 😆it takes time to master, look at you doing it this early. 👏a little note: "kendimle gurur duyuyorum" "I am proud WITH MYSELF" I hope you enjoy your trip to Turkey. with this progress in 3 months, you'll be able to be very fluent (not sure if it is your goal for the future) but very well done!

    I can't believe this Elysse. Your turkish is fantastic for someone who has only been learning for 3 months
    When you say "so I started 3 months ago" don't use "peki".
    In this situation you wouldn't actually use anything. Here "peki" is more suitable for a question. "So are you going to come to?" would in some cases be "Peki sende gelecek misin?".
    Hope this helped❤

    Also protip, in Turkish, you don't speak a language, you rather "know" it
    For example: -Hangi dilleri biliyorsun?
    -Almanca, İspanyolca ve Portekizce biliyorum.
    A small detail no one would point out but I thought you might wanna know :)

    Çok güzel konuşuyorsun! Ben de 3 ay Korece öğrenmeye çalışıyorum ama senin kadar iyi değilim. 3 ayda nasıl o kadar güzel konuşmayı başardın bilmiyorum ama harika gidiyorsun. Şu ana kadar akıcı konuşabiliyorsundur heralde :].

    3 ay içinde güzel bir ilerme kaydetmişsin 👏🏻 Türkçe öğrenmesi zor bir dil. Telaffuzun da gayet iyi 👍🏻 Başarılar
