It's been a while! Lately I've been on a total house organization initiative that lead me to make these AWESOME (& and cost effective) storage containers.
For similar storage systems you're looking at $16+ per boxes. I was able to make 3 for under $25 your total may differ depending on the fabric you choose
I hope this helps you! Let me know if your have any questions. XOXO

You could cut the flaps off of one end of the box before assembling it. I've found its safer and easier to do, especially when using a knife :)
Great idea though! Have a great weekend! :)
Ty, 4 this video. I'd seen it awhile bk and saves it to my watch later. So, when I was ready to cover my boxes I would know what to do. I will wtch a few more times b4 I ty becz this will be my 1st diy project. I hv saved some old bedsheets to practice. Ty b4 using the glue spray that will help alot. I didn't know glue stray was a thing. It will be sometime b4 I do it due to my physical and mental conditions but I will do it. Ty. 4 posting again. Blessings.
I used Priority Mail boxes from the post office (free!) and taped the top corners together for stability. Then followed your instructions.
NOTE: The spray adhesive is very smelly....best to do the spraying in a well-ventilated area!
I used a wood-print contact paper (for all the lazy students out there) ;D now all my carboard boxes look awesome haha
vnesaa Great idea!
I went out today to buy some storage cubes but didn't find any I liked. I have everything that's needed to makr these but the boxes and ill pick some up tomorrow. Thank you so much ill be sure to check out more videos.
Genius. I have a bunch of small HD boxes laying around!
Just a little helpful note ... The scissor you are using are paper scissors ment to cut out patterns so they get dull really fast when using them on fabric. The correct fabric scissor are pretty expensive but worth it because the don't get dull as quickly as the paper scissors
OMGoodness! I'm so loving your channel. I'm praticularly into frugal organizing and decorating tips. I love the tufted headboard and now this fabric storage box. I buy these bozes whenever I see them at Ross, TJ MAzz etc. Sometimes, I don't like the particular design, but now I am inspired to mke my own. Keep them coming Diva! Thank you again for sharing:)
Thanks!! :-)
Really love this.! I'm a HUGE bargain hunter/cheapskate and i've been looking for ways to organize my studio apartment this is the cheapest most intelligent thing i've come across lol major props to you.! I'll def check out your other vids and will subscribe
Bryia Riggins Thanks! Glad you found it helpful :)
Thank you so much! Military wife here we don't make a whole lot so I couldn't afford the storage boxes for my cubby shelf I got for free so thank u!
You're welcome.. Thanks for everything your family does for our country!!
Great idea! Cheaper than buying ugly tubs. Thanks for the creative tip.
Candice Bennett Thanks for watching!
The use of spray adhesive is and excellent idea. It has advantages over glue gun in that you are adhering all the fabric down to the board. I did a box with a a glue gun and did not like the bead. Of glue under the fabric. I though it made for a slightly unprofessional look. Of course you only notice it to the touch and up close.
The handles here are a nice touch!
Very good tutorial. TFS :-)
:-) Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed this tutorial! Great job ma'am
Awesome! Happy decorating :-)

Yay! Good luck :-)
not bad! at first I thought it wasn't going to look all that great cuz of pulling fabric/no so hot scissors/and guessing how much to cut by the ruler...well I was way off! You did a pretty darn good job and the cut out the small square was the best! I give you an "A!" I'll have to follow by FB cuz I'm not into the other sites..
great idea!
Thanks, I have to glue some fabric to an mdf box and this looks a good way
Thanks, and they are really good
Cut the flats when the box is still flat.
Gee Thompkins I agree, much easier to make it straight when flat.
Gee Thompkins yes I was going to say same thing
You are a life saver!
AWESOME! Good luck
Awesome need to do that to my closet!!!!!
:-)
No problem!! Thank you for watching :-)
AWESOME job :)
Great video and idea.
I did something even more nifty and about the same price. I got a box (instead of buying brand new check out your local grocery store; they're always giving them away; some get picky about packaging labels and will demand they get torn off) anyways.... get yourself some spray paint (gloss or mach... I prefer mach or chalk) and than get yourself some half a yard if fuzzy fabric and adhesive glue.
step one: seal one side of the box, and cut off flaps to other side. and cut out handles.
step two: spray paint all sides of the box (interior is optional); let dry.
step three: cut your fabric into strips that will line the top and handle.
step four: use the adhesive glue, spray onto the box where you are going to line with your fuzzy fabric
done. you have a awesome and really cute storage bin. I love steal ideas and improving my life.
Nicole Davidson Thanks for sharing!
Please do a video, would love to see it.
Very nice idea
Ooooh a challenge! LOL I hadn't even considered a lid but I think I can do it.. And I'm actually trying to figure out to cover/create the hanging storage now. I think I've almost got it so that video should be coming soon. :-)
Very thorough ..Thanks
awesome idea..I'm gonna do this
what product you have used to stick the cloth to the box?
Thanks for sharing this video 😊😊
Hello, can I use liquid glow rather than spray? because I don't have it.
+بشرى العبدالله yes
This totally proves how stupidly perfectionist I am yet here she is with dull scissors, too short a ruler, no lines drawn, correcting a box cutting mistake in a haphazard way yet voila! I'll bet if I did all the right stuff, ie. fabric scissors, long enough ruler, lines drawn, box cut perfectly, etc, I could not have had a better result. The only problem I have is with the spray adhesive indoors that might get on the carpet. Big cardboard laid flat outside as your base would be safer never mind saving your carpet.
your tutorial was good :)
great way to reuse diaper boxes!!!
good idea thank you for every thing I like it
Love the color fabric u uses . And do be careful with that box cutter. I cut three of my fingers using it the wrong way.. Ouch
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! :-)
Hmmmmm......wouldn't it be easier to cut off the unwanted flaps and cut out the handle holes BEFORE assembling the box? Just a thought :-)
I'm not sure but it's worth a try... I just prefer having the box assembled before I cut. Please let us know how it works out if you try it :-)
very nice indeed!! :)
that pretty cool God bless you with idea like that

i seen some at the dollar tree collapsable bins they are call but not as big as yours but pretty nice size but great job i am not that handy lol

nice job.
Would like to see a video on how you make a custom lid to go on the storage box (smile), also a separate one on how to make your own hanging file cloth covered cardboard box rather than the standard petroleum plastic hanging file boxes that are 'booring' (smile)
good job
awesome
+Monroe Rice Thanks
greaaat
:-) Thanks for watching
my name is Shania too
Lovely made one similar, could you make one with a lid please please please?? :)
To make the lid cut off one flap tape it to the other flap and cover it and you have a built-in lid
You should get fabric scissors!! Lol
nice

gut ;)
cringing at 1:05 scared she might cut her fingers
Don't cut towards yourself or hand...... Shouldn't show people to do it that way. Very dangerous... lol Hope it helps.
A lot of mistakes
Very messy
Just a little helpful note ... The scissor you are using are paper scissors ment to cut out patterns so they get dull really fast when using them on fabric. The correct fabric scissor are pretty expensive but worth it because the don't get dull as quickly as the paper scissors
Asejenae Evans Thanks for the tip! :-)
@@SugarStilettosStyle Yes, I was going to suggest this as well. Fabric scissors and paper scissors are totally different kinds of scissors and they get dull really fast if used on the opposite thing. (ie. NEVER use the fabric scissors to cut paper!! It'll ruin the scissors.)
