@@AlwaysInAtari You aren't getting the right Absinthe then, go to Alandia.com. Even if you don't like the licorice flavor of Anise, there are non Anise versions that are perfectly fine. And you have to mix it right, there are many sources for drinking absinthe properly. Do NOT do it straight unless you are some kind of mega alkie and have an iron stomach, it is almost pure alcohol on many of them, plus the herbal additives. Could potentially kick your ass if you don't take it seriously.

@@devilhunterred Sure sake can be an acquired taste, their reactions are still kind of weird. That specific type of sake is called nigori or nigorizake, which is a rather modern version of sake. Nigori is the sweetest sake, and is known to be rather mild, and has a fruity nose. It is commonly served as a dessert wine as a way to compliment spicy foods. Though as with all sake, it is recommended that it should be finished in one sitting so that its flavour doesn't get changed due to oxidation, and even when it does oxidize it still shouldnt taste especially rancid.

My thought exactly. Probably the worse whisky they could get. Definitely not a good representation of what whisky is, let alone scotch. I'd have suggested a soft Irish like Redbrest lustau or maybe a classic scotch like glenmorange Quinta Ruban.

I may just add as a Polish man (we have invented vodka, trust me that's what the oldest known to man inscription say) that the way it's meant to be drank is in super cold temperature. We keep it in the freezer and most bars/pubs also do. Trust me, before you have a session put it in the freezer for at least 24h, then pour it into 50ml glasses, drink it straight and quickly push it with a bite of a half slice of lemon. Thank me later.
If you have a Polish store somewhere around you get also pickled herring and Polish sour gherkins then ask the staff how to eat it with vodka, it's dead easy, they'll tell ya. Your acid levels will be on point. Thank me later :) oh one more thing, never drink vodka with fizzy soda pop, always drink pure water with it. Thank me later :) Na zdrowie !!! P.S. Absolute Vodke is cute :)

My brother brought me Stoya I think it was called from where he was in Poland....that was indeed the best vodka I ever drank...I drank 500ml by myself and it felt like a silky massage to my throat and body... You might be just right mister

It's not the alcohol. It's the other ingredients in those liquors. For example japanese rice wines have a disgusting smell from how they dealt with their rice.
I, an eastern German 14yr old that lives in a small town, find this very amusing.
I, Chinese 15yr old kid, find also find this amusing. Drinking culture is different in China I guess. In this country it is not illegal for underage people to drink, it's illegal to sell them alchohol and but shop owners do not give a fuck. Therefore, I have actually chugged rio (it's similar to smirnoff ice) before going through school gates and nobody gives a shit. However most people don't drink, they just don't find the need to. Guess when you makes things legal, it takes the mysterious part out of it, and people can choose to drink or not. In China, most people don't.

As a Chinese, Baily is one of the easiest drink i first have. Vodaka is pure alcho for me, i usually use it in cocktail. A whiskey is weird at first try (was a bottol of JD), I try to develope a favour in burbon after that, and got use to the whiskey taste.

That's correct. This is so misleading. I don't know why they chose the chinese who don't really drink to make this video.
Some of them have had Chinese alcohol (liquor, aka 'baijiu'). Some of them clearly haven't. Erguotou baijiu (cheap, ubituitous) is 56% ABV, and it's not unusual - most baijiu (often mistranslated to 'wine') is 40-60% ABV. Chinese beer, on the other hand, is mostly very weak light lagers - 2-4% ABV - drunk for refreshment rather than for a buzz. The only thing one is likely to see in the middle is imported or domestic Western-style wines, a slightly exotic presence.
Anyone that reacts that way to whisky and vodka has never had any sort of liquor.

Markus, I have to believe that's a stereotype, I used to hear such things. But European and Asian beers tend to be lower on average than the American craft beers.
Only 4-6 percent ABV. where as over half the American beers start at 5 percent and higher, many darker beers in the 7-9 range. Even there ciders are slightly stronger than British ciders. Germany and Belgium seem to be the only ones that matches them.

First mistake, all these kids are too young and haven't been properly battle-tested in the Chinese workforce to appreciate alcohol lol. They've probably only been drinking 3.5% abv. Chinese beers up to this point, and the occasional baijiu which they drink more as a dare as opposed to enjoying.
To all the people that think they're light weights it's because the Chinese don't really dink much (statistically speaking) they're the largest country on earth (by population) but only the 89th largest consumer of alcohol (study from 2010). If you did this kind of test in Europe, Russia, America or Australia it would be a very different video.
EDIT: Also the people in the video all look very young and probably haven't drunk much in their lives, then again Asians are deceptively young looking, they could all be in their 30's.

Plus they're not drinking them properly. Rice wine is supposed to be drank warm and vodka straight from the freezer. Whiskey is often drank with a little water and those things make a MASSIVE difference.
Yeah, vodka is vodka to me, but holy crap that whiskey the gave them is garbage. I feel sorry for them.
