I just bought to Google OS TVs And this tutorial was awesome because now I don't have to worry about programming fire Stick I could just program my TVs and sideload all my APKs for movies and TV shows
Followed instructions to the T, my problem is accepting apps from unknown sources, where you have security and restrictions under the app tab I only have security and it doesn't give me the option to trust the app. I checked other locations in settings and nothing, but it popped up on its own when I downloaded the download app
A TV program says Google Chromecast is faster than Fire TV so I picked up for $33 a Chromecast. But the instructions online only are for tablets, phones and Firestick. Trying to learn to sideload. So thank you for the video.

I prefer Google TV because it allows me to run hacked version of UA-cam so there are no ads, and it also skips intros, outros, in video sponsor blocks, as well as segments where the channel promotes their other content or asks you to subscribe. It's very nice The app is called UA-cam Vanced
Outdated. There no longer is settings options under apps to allow from unknown sources. Checked under developer section couldn’t find there either.
Downloader was taken down for some time but it’s back now, I just did this today.

You would have to look for the apk of it and have it in your Google drive
Whenever I search for downloaded it just shows me UA-cam videos. It doesn’t actually show me the downloader app. How do I fix this?
Go to setting > apps > all apps> system app> google play > search for the apps you want

You have to go to the playstore and download the downloader app
Try apps in settings and it will show under downloaded apps
You have to search from the apps tab, not the home screen

Any tv with chromecast will work. At the moment though I think the downloader app has been removed from play store. There may be an alternative.
