I use xdrip+ as a companion app to the Dexcom G7 App. This allows me to use and learn the xdrip+ app interface and Xdrip+ Watch face to see how it works while leaving Dexcom app alone as a "The Main Software Collector" . So no Worries.
For more advanced DIY.
I did try and created a "3rd video setup", but is way more advanced. I really could not show all the details about the setup. So this video is basicly showing my setup without the G7 App installed and I'm Using xdrip+ as my collector also using the Dexcom Receiver as a secondary receiver as a precautionary. So NO Worries for me!

But Part 4 Video I found and even better setup soluction for my watch face, that puts it all together using glucodatahandler app by Michael Pachi and his watch faces, I can see my Live IOB, COB etc.. It's amazing..

In Xdrip+ I will also be able Select the type of Insulin I use, and put in insulin sensitivity and Carb Ration, etc. to see my actual Insulin Onboard LIVE in the phone App.
Xdrip+ Is amazing Software with a major learning curve, but I have all kinds of time to learn, as the Type 1 is not going away anytime soon.. Reading the Docs and slowly trying things out will take some time, but it's worth it.. Here are the Docs: xdrip.readthed...

Tip:
For best viewing experience. I use a TV or Computer to see the setup clearly. Also if I'm going to Fast , it is easy to Slow it down.. Just click on the gear on the right bottom of the screen, Then select, Play back Speed and select .25 and Mute the sound.
So Once it's Setup, I need to be careful about phone updates that can break the software. For me personally, I disable updates for any diabetes related apps in Google Play store, and suspend android update, until I'm ready to deal with drama.. I do have a secondary setup phone and watch, just in case something goes wrong. I just can't work at a busy job without seeing my blood sugars on my watch. I'm always pro-active, and have a Backup Plan.
