Haha! Yeah I try to avoid calling it that. I know it is technically correct. But "the dead body of an animal" comes first in the dictionary, and that's what comes to my mind.

Great work! I'm not usually the wood movement police, but I'm wondering if you're worried with that wide of an all hardwood panel being glued and screwed into that ply? You're room is looking awesome! Also, I think it would be cool to get a video on making your walnut electrical face plates! Thanks for the content!
I’m not worried. I may eat those words some day. But I figure all cabinets used to be made from solid wood and they were nailed together. I have some 60+ year old cabinets that my grandpa made hanging in my garage and they haven’t torn themselves apart yet.
The electrical covers are going to be part of the trim video… which I forgot to mention!

It’s actually an old Porter Cable jig. It’s outstanding, but they never advertised it and they don’t make it anymore. I put that link to the Kreg as more of a “Mark Approved” alternate option.
The one side is clearly a standard counter-depth. On a different wall, are you going to have a reloading setup? Or will that go into a different space? I have a cold storage that will turn into a gun vault (more secure than a safe as you can't take the room with you and open at your leisure). In said room, I want to have a reloading bench, but I'm still trying to finalize what design I'm going to have for that.
I designed this whole wall with a reloading bench being the primary function. Now that it's done, I'm changing it up for two reasons. 1 - I cant bring myself to drill a hole in that bench top. 2 - I decided it would put me too close to that tv to watch while I mindless punch out primers. So the new plan is to outfit the rolling toolbox in the middle of the room as a reloading bench. I've been using it that way for a little while now and I keep making changes to my setup. I think I am close to something I really like.
Pocket holes are easy and they may be strong enough for these cabinets. However, pocket holes show you are lazy and maybe not skilled enough to use better joinery.

First of all, most people have the general decency not to point out my obvious laziness and lack of skill. Second of all, are you suggesting I should have invested a considerable amount of time into learning and executing a joinery process that, once completed, would have made no visual or functional difference to the finished process?
