Hi Lisa, beautiful pieces. I loved everything. My sunrise glaze is still on back order. It is a gorgeous color. I need to take notes. You always come up with beautiful combos. Thank you for sharing!❤
Hi Lisa. WOW, love those 2 noodle bowls. I will have to try that. I made those bears, too, but I love you dangle the little one from the big one. Love the chip n dip. Great HANDSOME mug. Great load. Thanks, Lisa!
You have the best inspirational ornaments every year. Is the polar bear a stamp/cookie cutter? Were Harry Potter fans too! Did you hear that Universal is opening a 4th theme park in Orlando May 2025? Harry Potter, Mario Bros & How to Train Your Dragon. You’ll need to make A LOT of those Harry Potter ornaments next season! Thanks Lisa for sharing your kiln opening! Hugs🫶🏼🪄🪄🪄
I love your mugs! They are so consistent and beautiful glaze combinations ! I put hydrangea then coyote white on top. I think it turned out really pretty.
Wow! Look at you just cranking all of these videos out!! I’ve watched 4 today!!! Great tip if the piece is still hot! That snowman is just ADORRRRABLE!!! OH MY GOSH LISA you are going to make me buy even MORE glaze!! That sunrise and ginger is AMAZING especially with the amaryllis!!! The chip and dip is gorgeous too!! My gosh I’m loving everything! The flower bowl like Jas makes is just beautiful!! The black with sandstone is going to be a glaze combo I start using for sure!! Thank you so much for so many ideas. I took so many screenshots shots! Best of luck at your sale!
Great kiln as always, I watch this one young girl very talented I think a little shy and not many subscribers Michele is the name of her channel some awesome sqraffito work
Oh yes. I’ve caught a few of her videos. She’s very sweet and has talent! I wish she could improve her lighting a bit. It’s hard to see the finer points of her work sometimes
love the masculine cups. How much clay would you use for that size mug - the one with the sandstone over the band between your black and the copper float?
Really depends upon how much glaze is on the shelf, but you do want to get it off since it will just sink deeper into your shelf every time you fire it! My Guild uses an angle grinder for large spot removal and you will end up with divets in your shelf as the grinder is hard to control. For small specks you could use a slot screwdriver or fine chisel, tapping them carefully with a hammer and working around the spot until it is completely removed. The hand held shelf sanding blocks work well for smoothing the shelf surface but I find they don't remove enough of the glaze to be effective. Shelves evenly covered with kiln wash will make a big difference in how easily glaze drips come off the shelf without damaging it so some preventive maintenance is helpful.
Do you have a problem with crazing with Spectrum combos? They're my favorite glazes but I get crazing with most combos in my current clay bodies. If you don't, what clay bodies do you use?
Quick question about stain in Black glaze recipe. In the above recipe Mason 6666 is listed, while in an earlier post where you gave out the recipe "Best Black" was listed as the stain used, which is Mason 6600. Do you know if these 2 stains give different results? The 6666 is a cobalt-free stain, but does contain manganese (which I try not to have in my glazes) and I've seen others' work where it has a slight brownish cast, while the 6600 does contain cobalt and probably goes blueish when thin???
Great kiln opening as usual Lisa. Love love love all your combinations. You are so clever with colour, which I love Jeanette 🇬🇧
Thank you so much!
Wow, that 'handsome' mug is really special.

Thanks Natalie. A harry potter theme park sounds so fun. The polar bear is a silicon mold. From Temu I think.
Thanks for sharing Lisa! ❤

Another combo to try😂 thanks for watching 😊

Thanks Michele! Lots of kiln opening this time of year !
I also love the Sunrise. I combined it with Sangria on the bottom and curry on the top band, but I think I prefer it with Ginger
Yes it combines so nicely with lots of glazes

Thanks!
I would love the recipe for the studio black you have used and the cone that it goes to, please! Thank you
It is in the description of the last video I posted and I have fired it anywhere between cone 5 and 6. You are welcome 😊
Ps. Congrats on 2k!
Wow! Thanks for noticing! It’s always nice to hit a milestone!
love the masculine cups. How much clay would you use for that size mug - the one with the sandstone over the band between your black and the copper float?
I believe I used about 600g of clay for those mugs. My normal mugs I use around 470g
Any tips on how do I clean the shelf with glaze runoff? Thank you
Oh gosh I have advancer shelves. Is that what you have? If it’s the other type I won’t be much help to you

I haven’t noticed any crazing. I used tuckers mid smooth stone and tuckers mid smooth speck

Oh my good catch! Yes I use best black which is 6600. If I put flux on the rim it goes blue . Thank you so much for pointing it out!
I have edited the recipe in the description
You’re going to refire your piece that crawled, do you reglaze it? Or just put it back in and hope it will drip over?
I love your temoku gold
I put a little more glaze on before refiring 😊
I like it too! Unfortunately it has lithium in it which has gotten crazy expensive. I need to find a new recipe 😊
