Hi, Linda here from Iceland. I just "found" you and loved your kiln opening. I am a hobby potter and love just about everything related to clay and glazes. I look forward to watch more of your videos!
Watching your video I realize how much of a glutton for punishment I am for myself 😂 I always do any wild idea comes to my head and there's normally a lot of different glazes in each combination 😅
Haha I hear you - that's part of the fun for me too! 😂 over the last year I’ve tried to do more sure things…usually I have some experiments in there too, but I do try to limit myself, especially if I want to sell multiples!
@RubyACeramics I use the GR foot maker, and do a miter cut (overlap and cut through both) for the join and then I wax it too! I think it’s shown in some of my shorts :)
@@crazygrandchick sure! I do a slow cool and it looks like this: 1. 100 degrees/hr to 220 degrees 2. 350/hr to 2000 degrees 3. 150/hr to 2185 degrees 4. 500/hr cool to 1900 degrees 5. 150/hr cool to 1450 degrees 6. Natural cool Hope that helps!
Yes, Georgies interactive pigment need to be wiped back and then coated with a glaze. You will get different results with different glazes. Your indigo piece was too thick in the area where it was "funny" colored. The pigments won't develop all the colors they are capable of without glaze.
Excellent video. Thank you so much.
Love to see fellow Michigander potters! Love the celadons over texture.
@@DarkStarPottery thanks!! I live in West Bloomfield - how about you?
@@pinelake.pottery I am from Rochester, but have a home in Goodrich (north of Clarkston). I also have a home in Florida. 😀
