    I went to nail school and I currently make and sell press on nails. Back painting wouldn’t make sense in person to person clients but with press ons, it makes perfect sense. I do it too. Efficiency and a better result is more important that things you learn in nail school. Most nail schools don’t even teach the kind of creativity and art you do on your nail sets.

    You are supposed to do the “backstroke” on press on nails because otherwise you might get a lump of gel underneath while pulling toward you.

    Girl, they don't teach much in nail school! Ive been a licensed manicurist since 2002 & am more self taught. Back stroke paint those nails all day! Keeps the cuticle line more natural 🥰

    I really enjoy watching you work and explain your technique and time schedule, and with that said I wish you were able to make more than one video every two weeks. I know you work full time along with doing your nail business, but it's as if we all get a glimpse into your style of art work and then you are gone. Two weeks is such a long time to wait wait. Hopefully one day you will be able to figure out how to fit more than one video every two weeks. Until then have a great two weeks. Thanks for taking us all along even if it is brief. PS, Hope you figure out a way to fit your dust collector under your desk.

    love your channel! it would be nice if you make a video on how you make videos on youtube🌝
    like how much time do you spend on filming, what camera do you use, how often do you change the angle of filming and how you manage to keep tips in focus while you are painting it, is it hard to do a voiceover and whether you use a mic or something, do you make a script before filming or after, how many minutes of raw filming do you have for one video, do you edit video like color grading and sharpening?
    sorry for all the text. i like being clear and systematic😅

    Hi, I love all your videos and realize you are new but made it so popular on UA-cam. Only last year when I were searching for similar content but did not find much useful info about this niche.
    May I ask to see how you worked on Canva to create a logo and important steps like printing and choosing size, inventory…
    That would help me so much for my future plan in similar niche that you are working on. My goal is to entirely switch to just stay home and paint nails all day. Not have to deal with people. 🙏 ❤

    Don’t be self conscious about any of your techniques! Seriously in all honesty lots of us actually change the way we do things once we get out of nail school! Generally most of us would say do what works best for you and since time is truly money especially in this business do what works and what gets the job done the quickest. Usually the only thing you tend to stick to out of school sanitization because seriously no lie 90 to 95 percent of what you actually learn in school is sanitizing cleaning everything correctly to state board standard that is literally the largest focus on school!! Sure you learn the basic basic on nails but most of how you do nails you will learn after school with trial and error on your own or an apprenticeship with a seasoned tech depends on what your comfortable with what your journey looks like! Honestly I learned so much from UA-cam University and I’ve been to school!! Anyway hope that helps like anything else do you do what works for you girl you get one life to live so make it yours!! I promise you so many of us change up how we do things for what’s more comfortable or works better for us! Stay Safe Be Blessed!!🌻🌻🌻

      Hi just happen to see your question when I finished my comment! Just about any Primer will work exactly the same as the Gelx etch! I would almost say the etch is some sort of primer I could be wrong but once you see how much they seem the same after trying primer you may see why I say that! Sorry don’t mean to butt in I just saw your question and since I knew a product that works thought I would suggest trying primer! I use what ever the least expensive bottle of primer I have is promise it works the same! Hope that helps!! 🌻🌻🌻

    • @elysesimpson2207
      @elysesimpson2207 7 місяців тому

      @@margiereichard3179 oh no please butt in! Do the primers etch the tips? The Gelx Etch you just roughly brush on until the tip gets rough so it’s an alternative to having to use an E File on the inside. Are other primers the same??

    • @margiereichard3179
      @margiereichard3179 7 місяців тому

      @@elysesimpson2207 Yes the primer etches up the tips just like the GelX Etch does you do the exact same thing open the primer use the brush around the inside of the tip! I promise you will be shocked by how much the etching in the same as if you used GelX Etch! I would love to take credit for the idea but I actually learned it watch a Enail Coture Video. Max Estrada the guy that has the 123 go tips! I saw a video of his over a year or so ago and he actually recommended using the primer rather than have to use a sanding band cuz it was faster and easier! I can’t prove it but I suspect the GelX Etching stuff is simply Primer in a new bottle! But I like GelX so no biggie! But I promise it works exactly the same! I haven’t tried every primer but the GelX primer works the enail couture primer works and even the young nails protein bond works as well so I would say most likely any brand of primer would work! I use which ever least expensive primer I have! I have purchased the GelX etching stuff as well but once I realized it worked just like primer I used it then went back to primer saves me a few dollars usually!! Hope that helps let me know if I can maybe help with anything else! Have a great weekend!

So it is basically primer now the name of the product is GelX Prep! Hopefully you saw my two replies to your second comment but I have replied it’s just for some my replies have disappeared not sure why!! Hope you see this and it helps. Your videos have been extremely detailed, organized, easy to follow, and overall helpful, so, thank you!! I was wondering how you go about pricing for custom orders on the site? Do you have a base price listing that fluctuates according to what the client wants? How would you differentiate it on the site if a customer wants a more ‘basic’ custom set as opposed to a customer who wants a more intricate and 3D set. I hope that made sense. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and your process. 🤍🤍🤍
