The Fishrot Scandal - the full story

Johannes Stefansson is the former Director of Operations in Namibia for the Icelandic fishing company Samherji. Johannes blew the whistle on #corruption and bribery in the allocation of Namibian #fishing quotas by publicly disclosing 30,000 documents that were published by Wikileaks. The subsequent fallout became known as the ‘Fishrot Scandal’.
Johannes’s courageous #whistleblowing resulted in the resignation of two Namibian government officials and the suspension of Samerji’s CEO. A criminal investigation is still ongoing. The evidence Johannes collected was crucial to the investigation. Johannes has personally been subject to a sustained campaign of #harassment and intimidation by those he exposed.

In fact almost 98% of the pom resiďents did not know Police were on strike/protesting by not doing normal duties...every one was caught off guard when somehow afew people knew about it and started looting North Waigani SNS hence the citywide looting and destruction. Very sad day indeed😢😢
