Enjoyed this format! It's more of a live walking tour than a highly edited video. I really appreciated the glimpse of life in Prague -- both past and present.
Next time I am in Prague I have to hire you as a guide, fascinating history. Especially hearing these stories in Czech language might be even more interesting and I need to practice my (almost) forgotten mother tongue.
RPG's!!!! I loved this! I think we got to see what a real 100 Spires City Tour would be like. Val reminds me of some of the best guides I have ever had! Almar of Amsterdam, Barbra of Berlin, and the great Alexa of Vienna. Put Valery of Prague up with the best.
Stone at top of arch in English is "keystone" or "capstone"... Valerie thanks for tour, and to cameraman, great job....my G-G-Grandfather was born near Liberec.
I led workshops this summer at the Skautsky Institute, with a view of Male Namesti. I hadn't known it was the oldest fountain in Prague, so thanks! By the way, a plaque honoring my friend and mentor, Arnost Lustig is on Male Namesti. Have you done.a video on all the wonderful plaques honoring figures in Czech music, art, literature, and academics?
" This bad boy " you are so funny, through out your vlogs you crack me up, thank you. This was a very informative vlog, very good one. Valery, you and husband do a fantastic job, the music as you walk is perfect!! Makes me laugh! Have a fantastic tomorrow and see ya next time.
Hadn't watched this channel in a long time. My mother passed away about 5 months ago, so it was very difficult. I can now travel after being a caregiver for so many years. Now I want to travel anywhere just to get away from this area here. I may just book a trip to Prague for a week. I've always wanted to go there since I heard by a few people that it is more beautiful than Paris.
Hi finally we joined your group's free walking tour to Prague Castle on Wednesday last week (with Dita as our guide) and we had a great time. Thank you for that, we will recommend yours to others 😉👍
Thank you so much for your informative and excellent videos. I will meet you, hopefully, or one of your colleagues in 2 weeks for one of your tours. So looking forward to visiting Prague. Dekuji from Australia.
Hi guys, I discovered only a few days ago that we also have wooden cobbles in London. I only became aware of their existence from one of your other videos. Then I found that we still have some in my home city London. It must have been something that spread across Europe... Also, thank you for your videos. I am hoping. to come to Prague again next year. Your videos have made me much better informed about your beautiful Capital and surrounding towns and cities in the Czech Republic. 🙂
I returned from Prague 2 days ago, I am very impressed by the city. I hope to see Valery next time on the streets of Prague and hug her 😊😜 I want to warn Valery in advance not to be afraid if one day she sees a crazy girl who wants to hug her. By the way, I'm a straight 😁 Thanks for the videos, they are really helpful and informative ❤❤❤
Really enjoyed this video, we’re hoping to book one of your castle tours in December when we visit for our friends 60th! We actually should’ve flown out on Friday 13th last week but she broke her ankle and I’ve hurt my back so we changed a few weeks ago! Hope that you’re all safe in the heavy rains
One of your greatest videos. I love the longer videos as well the shorter ones also. Hello from Philadelphia 🇺🇸 and Valerie has great legs that's from all the walking from tours. I know she has to wear a great compy pair of sneakers as we say in Philly or she would be tired and sore with blisters . And boots work good in the winter just so they are comfortable. 👢👟
Delightful tour - Such a great fun Ucitelka - Absolutely fascinating information - incredible to discover wooden cobblestones for noise reduction - delivered with such intelligence and humour 💘
I’m in Prague for one last day and my heart is already breaking. Thanks for all the tips and tricks. I definitely used your expertise to make my experience here top notch. With gratitude!
I have been to Praque now 8 times and all i can say is that it is amazing, so full of History and culture 😍, The language is not easy to learn but the Czech people are friendly. I was surprised however how many Czech People do NOT speak English. Charles Bridge going over to the old town and Castle is a MUST. Czech Bier in my opinion is also the best in the World 😍
Prague is a never ending city of beautiful architecture and gems, I reckon you could live their ten years or more and still find something different. It is one of a select few places that will make you go back again and again. Another great video guys well done😉
Hi Paul! Thanks for the comment. Prague was lucky, water level raised, but not to a dangerous level. Unfortunately other parts of the Czech Republic were not so lucky. It’s getting better already though! Rain is over.
Traffic? This residence of New York City is giggling hysterically. I wonder what is the demand for more specialized tours like the one in this video. Might be worth considering.
@ycplum7062 Traffic in the pedestrian zone of the medieval historical center, where only supplies or residents are allowed to enter. If you want to stand in traffic jam, other parts of Prague will serve you well. Don't worry. I giggle hysterically when I realize that when these roads were bustling with traffic in the Middle Ages, only bison excrement was to be found on the site of today's New York.
@@jaromirmusil9017 No bison (much further west), but probably plenty of deer. LOL Frankly, I think NYC needs more pedestrian only sections. And for the record, I do own a car in NYC.
This video was great. I watched every minute of it without complaining. Do you have all these facts in your head when you walk around? I would have had to carry a history book with me to get all this info. You could have done two parts video of this cause there is so much. I bet Prague has a fantastic library where they keep the documents for all this. Do they have a prague library for all the old historic documents, or do they just throw them all in the castle? Did the city have any influence from the Roman empire? Like that would be fun to historically connect things that stupid americans would have heard of, and the city you are in. Although I think prague would have been a city that supported the people attacking Rome.... I have seen a couple videos of ancient Roman engineering inside london, so I was curious if historians were able to connect specific projects to the Roman or Byzantine empire. Thank you so much for this video, Valery and you look amazing in that dress.
Hello Valery, you are now a star on UK TV, I saw you hepling Michael Portillo around Prague Castle on Channel 5. You are a natural tv star, you should use this in your publicity for Real Prague Guides. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Me and my wife plan to visit Prague during February 2025 (ye, am probably asking this too early xD ) Is it ok if we email you guys for a few tips? and are 2 people an accepted number for a private tour ?
❤🎉 you are a beautiful young lady if you and your husband ever decide to have children and you have daughters they will be as beautiful as you you will have to hire bodyguards for your daughters I'd be protective
I'm favoured, Getting my own Truck has always been my Dream for my business. I just acquired 2 recently, earning $32K weekly has been really helpful. I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support Charity Organizations.

I seen Valery on uk tv last week with Michael Portillo about a long weekend in Prague, it was like seeing an old friend on tv.
Can you post a link if there is one?

Svorník is keystone in English, especially this type in the vault crossing is called a boss.

9:46 Spejbl and Hurvínek! We watched them on TV in Hungary too in the 80's. (Perhaps it explains a lot. :D)

Your series gives a 'close-up' look at Prague from a local resident. Good work!
This video guide is very helpful, I'm arriving in Prague on Sunday and can't wait to stroll around there.
Stone at top of arch in English is "keystone" or "capstone"... Valerie thanks for tour, and to cameraman, great job....my G-G-Grandfather was born near Liberec.
The one she points out is a 'boss.' It is the centerpiece of an ogival arch system.
Kind of a cool, different style to this video. It’s fun to go for a walk with Valery. 🙂
Hey guys, I love your videos a lot
Excellent video. Very educational.
Thanks! I love all of your videos! Keep them coming!
