Nordic Carved is my favorite of the base game. Black and silver is a nice combo, and all the fur is much appreciated in Skyrim. I also liked the Blades Armor a lot. Honestly after a decade of new modded armors and overhauls I barely remember any of the others though!
@@butwhataboutdragons7768 the Blades armor is one of my most favorite as well. It was very unfortunate when it wasn't as good of an armor in oblivion but I hear you can reach the armor cap (567) with any armor in Skyrim and that's a good!
Honorable Mention: Leather Scout Armor. Very practical with multiple pockets, fingerless gauntlets, light weight, a water bottle and a cool color scheme!
Had to search the comments to see if anyone else mentioned this.. its my go to light armor in the first half of my playthrough. It just looks awesome! Its the same with the Silver armor for heavy!
I wish the Daedric Mail came with a head piece. Missed opportunity to include the Daedric Face Masks from Morrowind if you ask me. But CC content does leave a lot to be desired.
Stalhrim armor will always be my favorite light armor set, mostly because of the mix of furs and ice together in a perfect combination. What can I say, I like the cold aesthetic it's got going for it.
7:58 fun fact. if i recall in lore that's what most piece of armor was. A outer shell of Dwemer constructs use as a armor. A true dwemer armor supposed to be very rare. Ancient Falmer and Nightingale are my top piece of armor. Elven also look preaty nice.
I still think it's absolutely hilarious that all the "mail" armor either they do not have chain mail at all or at best it is never the main material of the armor
Although I've never played light armor-using builds that often, I can definitely say that my personal favorite armor was the Blackguard Armor from the Dragonborn DLC. For would-be thieves, it's practically vital because it offers the best enchantments that are geared for that playstyle, and it looks pretty good to boot. If I were to do a thief build right now, I know for sure that I'd roll with this armor, and I'd double down on it by pairing it with the Bow of Shadows; and although I'd love nothing more than to equip the Gray Cowl to make a Gray Fox character, I can't for the life of me get over its one major drawback, that being the instant hostility it triggers in guards.
My favorite has always been the Nightingale Armor, but there are a few sets from the Creation Club I haven't used yet, like the Amber Armor, but I do gotta say that Stahlrim Light Armor looks freaking amazing

I think heavy armor has some of the best designs in any medieval style video game
ive been searching far and wide for the best looking mod to make armour feel more realistic and yours is perfect, i love how it makes it feel much more layered and was wondering what your mod/mod load order for that was
for revealing light armor sets, you have the forsworn set, and the dark seducer set. There is also the fur set but only one of the three variants of the torso piece is revealing.
7:17 - 7:21 You goodamn right! I continue my prolonged Skyrim playthrough and several weeks ago I found myself in simular situation - all armor feels like "skins" in multi-player games.
Cool video! Could you create a video of cool armor combinations including cloth parts? I am too lazy to do that myself, plus it would also be great to see what other people could come up with that I might have overlooked in the game. Don't think so much about the Armor Rating as it's no problem to reach Armor Rating cap with a single part from all armor types in the game, even one piece of the Fur Armor, legit.
I love glass armor and it looks great with the Krosis mask. Krosis had little green rust on it in older versions that matched almost perfectly with the glass armor's green and gold color. You did not include the hold guards armor? The Whiterun guard is iconic. 💛🐴
I'm a bit sad that Elven Hunter Armor wasn't on the list it's one of my favorite looking armor! The scratches and dents and the leather replacement and the red cloth around the waist i always pair it with a torturer's hood
Honestly I prefer the studded dragon scale over the original, it’s more conservative with the bone use and looks more flexible. It looks simpler, not overly designed, easier on the eyes in my opinion. Still don’t like the helmet on either tho.
I adore Stalhrim armor though I'm personally not a fan of any of the helmets in the game except for Dragonplate. And so that's what I wear 😅 I'd kill for a mod that Stalhrimifies the helmet!
my favourite armour is dwemer armor, I love gold, I love the dwemer, I love dwarves, so I would have to go with that but I do agree there's so many beautiful and awesome looking light armor and the glass armour does look pretty good, it used to be a favorite doing some of my earliest playthroughs when I was younger that? or the elf armour
I rock the Leather Scout Armor till I get the Nightengale armor. Easily upgradable and ligh5 enough to carry a couple extra hoods and gloves for specialized activities (alchemy, smithing, etc.)
I like your videos, but was it really necessary to have 1/3 of the armour as CC gear? Personally, I'm an admirer of the Nightingale and Vampire sets, for sheer aesthetic.
This is all subjective, after all, but I say that the style of glass armor seen Morrowind looks better than that of Skyrim. (Typical. It takes Dunmer to fix what Altmer leave unfinished.) My personal favorites (from my rather vanilla experience) have always been dragonscale and scaled sets. Scaled gives a balance of ruggedness and comfort, as well as a nice Nordic motif, and the dragonscale armor... Well, yeah, look at it. 😆 For it, a dragon-slaying motif fitting of the Dragonborn, as well as more protection.
"Who would wear THAT." Me: Uhh... Yeeaaaah... Hahhaa... *Hides my Bosmer behind a bush.* (When I am not running Bosmer Armor mod.) ...That said sometimes, with how many I tend to find and it's high level, tend to give some followers for fun. ...Daedric Mail though is my favorite for my Dunmer, making my own custom Dark Brotherhood Armor fit for the Listener, along Torment.
I was able to get few sets of dragon armor, ebony armor, daedric armor by the time i got glass armor. It's not just as random loot, i haven't seen any merchant sell it. i got glass gaunlets and boots with different enchantments. Is Glass armor has such low rate?
Fashion side.. the forsworn and fur armors are very nice. Certain versions look good on females, and others look better on males. They might not be anything noticeable stat wise, but they do have a nice look to them
My favorites are the Studded Dragonscale and the Boiled Shadowed Netch Leather. I love the studded because it's a bit more realistic, being essentially a studded leather armor layered with padding with some dragon bits on it for flare and extra protection. It really suits an archer, whereas I think the original seems better suited for a melee fighter. As a bonus, there's no gender disparity, which as a player of female characters, I appreciate. And the Boiled Shadowed Netch Leather is perfect stealth armor. One of the few leather armors with PANTS! I swear, Skyrim has a vendetta against trousers on leather armor. As a great thief once said, "I understand there is a Dragon out there that would like to eat us all, BUT I HAVE. NO. TROUSERS!!!" And once more, no gender disparity, female Dragonborns get to enjoy the same quality design as the guys. I'm a simple girl, give me a flattering silhouette that keeps all my bits safe, and you have a good design!
I wish I could have the fall damage reduction on light armor. You can bypass or eliminate all the downsides of heavy armor pretty easily so I just stick with them for the game cuz of that
I've been watching your videos for a long while now, and I've been debating whether to ask or not- but do you have a full list of the mods you use for skyrim in your videos anywhere?
I’ve been using Nightingale armor forever. Everytime I try something else I go back. That’s why I’m here lol. I never go with heavy armor because with the right smithing, and light armor perks you can easily max it out. Then it’s just as good as heavy armor, without all of the drawbacks.
Nightingale armour is actually pretty terrible. One handed and lockpicking gauntlets, illusion hood muffle boots And stamina and frost chest piece. Outside of looking kinda cool it's enchantments don't suit a thief play style, or a rouge. Rubbish assassin garb.
What's your favourite Light Armor set, Wizards? 👇
not a set
but the Locket of Saint Jiub is pretty nice
Pleas make top 20 havy amor sets in skyrim
Glass armor is cool.
Nightingale makes me feel like a medieval batman, taking down criminals in the night, which is ironic if you think about its origin
Just watched the video and we both agree glass armor is the goat
Will wait patiently for Heavy Armor.

It looks really great with spellbinding too

Thank you fine sir
Isn't it the same model as the thieves guild hood?
Yeah, torturer's hood and thieves guild hood are the same model, theives guild hood just has an enchantment.
guild master hood 👋🏻
I don't care if you're a hardcore Imperial Loyalist, you can't argue about the Stormcloak Officer set being one of the coolest sets in Vanilla Skyrim.
Yeah but tullius's armor is great too
Sometimes I side with the Imperials just so I can get that armor set

Absolutely same!
whenever I go to start a new heavy armor playthrough I remember the beauty of stalthrim and suddenly use light armor
Blackguard armor you get from Glover's house is a chef's kiss.
Stahlrim over nightingale is wild
To each their own. I like it myself
Thats debatable but glass as #1 is inexcuasable.

Phenomenal as always! The Remnant Agent is the most colorful and beautiful and I’m happy they got where they were.
Thanks man! Glad you agree 🧙♂️
