A few days later at a club in Phoenix...
The IMAGO records rep invited me on the bus and I spoke with Aimee and she signed a shirt "to my love god"
Also she played "Ive Had It" at the end because I screamed for it over and over.
I stumbled on there tiny desk performance recently and I listen to those four songs over and over. I was hooked.

Pleasantville, not the one in Northern CA. This is a perfect set if you are a fan, and hopefully a younger generation will appreciate her music. She has been consistently writing at an amazing clip since the 90s.
Thanks so much for sharing this. Aimee is a treasure. Only really discovered her recently. I can’t get over the song writing, like seriously, mind blowing.

Hey Nathan thanks fjr adding the last two. Now the list is complete of the most obnoxious, winy, punk, and hard to look directly at fem singers. Now of you tall cool long hairs though she uses it as a venus fly trap Alanis. Oh ya. Or pale depressing earie headless & I'm sure he would be around her horseman bog singing Sin-ade, the pre-cumming to Smiley Virus, well there something I haven't understood that is unique to that wave of acoustic strumming lilith fair at bests. What is a first is almost all of them have certifiable top both voices. Add pink & the dude who identifies as a woman, Labia P'gaw P'gaw... what I'm saying is growing up Deborah Harry just was a crossover while my dad about me I was a rocker classical music guy I mean it won't everybody but she wasn't that great of a singer it doesn't matter whether it's share or I don't get time right now to think of five people but leave McEntire whatever everybody else is little grainy or a little rougher it's like if Clint Eastwood sing a song do you know I'm thinking about his partner in the movie Jerry the guy drove the truck. That's what I'm saying is like whether they were feminists or whether they were Communists or whether they were just trying to be nasty or Punk or whatever it was against the grain some of us liked them and some of us the worshiped it and some of us didn't or Wendy Williams they always were having some ability of course sing but not necessarily an acapella range or we're not a singer type of sound just like Bob Dylan you can't really say you can't sing no one will call him a singer you know. It could be Helen Reddy or Bette Midler when is they had enough ability to be able to get on stage so they can then push their agenda, or their image, helped them pretend to have a agenda, or who knows who's real & who's not? But they were men and women's answer to not being a Paula Abdul and not being a diva and Mariah Carey they were the other ones they were the Rough and Tumble truth and now it's strange to me that everybody on your list and I can think of a few more are considered to be amazing singers and then also have an attitude I kind of like a little graininess or a little hoarseness like Kid Rock's ex-girlfriend you know the people to not be too good that are singing this way it's like that crossword not quite country but it's also not rock they're in between though and now these girls are that that's why I dislike them Alanis Morissette just like another version of Pat Benatar when I think of a couple songs in particular. But no one is a Macy Grey type. This exact Paradox exists in Rock and Roll, versus the blues, whether it's Muddy, John Lee H, no one's calling BB King the best singer of all times, but then he was unique in his sound & : melodies but you didn't listen to him so you can hear the top range, or Heavy Metal' Iron Maiden+ Bruce Dickinson, or Rob Halford yell till glass breaks. Like Perry😢 Como, Dean, or crooner
It's always interesting whether the singing was a spin-off and taking advantage of the fame or whether they kind of just couldn't quite make it that way but they started that way and they wound up something else but like I said with all the people that are showing here they're singers that's like they're playing a part on Broadway here's angry feminist here is lesbian here's a lillith3 fair with a gimp like Oprah was married or Obama or to some extent even Hillary, or Cher & Sonny Bono or 1 more dang too tired 1 mile from home end of short tour.
See I dislike these ladies, yet not all for the same reasons, Smiley Virus is a good example
Why does she get a vocal range as such for every season, she could be Makin it with her personality, not endorsing it as a good one, but I'm not blind.
She's not imaginative, just a caricature of four or five of the people you have listed controversial, yes but for the most part.*predictable juvenile delinquent put Miley on a lie detector & I'll bet you she's unable to deny she thinks she's the next James Dean..
Little disappointed she didn't play "Voices Carry" or any Til Tuesday, but hearing anything from Aimee is a treat...
agreed, its her greatest (and ONLY ) hit and she doesn't play it often. Why ignore a great song?? However, she'll cover Ric Ocasek's Drive?? Go Figure, a song that wasn't even hers.

The record company IMAGO were basically compelling her to greet a few fans on her tour bus after the show...
It was at the Phoenix show in Dec. .
She wrote on the merch Tshirt

Anyway...
I still wouldnt mind slapping her for mumbling.

Her voice is not as powerful as it used to be but the songwriting remains and it's brilliant indeed. Her live at St Ann's Warehouse is certainly the live I have most been listening to, together with My Morning Jacket's Okonokos.

Yes, several of these are 'so so" and she refuses to play (often) her Till Tuesday song which made her a star. Voices Carry. As Stevie Nicks once eloquently stated, "people come to hear the hits."
