I studied at St Andrews in the 80's but missed the course of backwards walking :) I worked hard to get exemptions in my subjects in the first year in order to be exempt from exams....I reckoned that it was better to work hard and have a guaranteed result rather than have an element of risk which occurs in exam situations. When I heard my International Baccalaureate exam results I rolled on the ground I was so overjoyed realizing that I could attend St Andrews which was my first choice. I had obtained an 'unconditional offer' from Sussex after a sucefful interview. I do not drink alcohol and found this challenging in St Andrews...I found the academic family system relatively unhelpful unless one is very introverted and found the scenery breathtaking. One piece of trivia; I was never more successful with women than during my time in St Andrews because if you are 6,2 and reasonable looking and have dark hair Scottish women will like you...it helps to have a brain and a personality of course....as for the weather it is very very cold....despite wearing four layers and sometimes a gown I was always cold.
This was super helpful and informative thanks!! I’m thinking of applying this year but I’m a tad terrified that I’m not good enough welp...ur vid defo reminded me as to why I’m so obsessed with St Andrews, my insecurities were getting the better of me and I lost sight of why I wanted to apply🙃
Your hair is looks really lovely. This was very informative despite the fact I'm an old American woman who cannot attend St. Andrews 😄 So proud of you. Been a fan for years now. Also, I feel ignorant AF because I thought you were in England this whole time.

Hi Adela, interesting video regarding your experience at St Andrew's. Loved it :). Any advice for a future applicant. I'm expecting to do it for next year's Fall. Cheers from Mexico.
Could you make a video about getting internships? Give us some advice applicable to business/econ? Im gonna start a business economics degree in a few days in Dundee!!
Remarkable! Thank you~ I’m from China but living in Russia. I applied for my second master and got offers from Glasgow, St. Andrews and Edinburgh but I don’t know which one is better. I’m major in economics, but the most thing I’m concerning about is the COVID-19 situation in UK. Don’t know whether the situation is a little bit better now. Btw, I heard that recently in UK there’s an atmosphere of anti-China. Don’t know whether Eastern Asian face is safe in UK now😢😢
Sadly there’s Anti-China rhetoric everywhere but it’s not any more in the U.K. than the rest of the world. Scotland is safe. And the COVID situation is way better than it was. June 21st this year all restrictions disappear!
Hii! It really depends on if you’re already catered or not. If you are catered, you only have to buy food for the weekend dinners. If you’re self-catered and have to cook for yourself then the weekly grocery expenses can be as small as 15 pounds, but that again really depends where you shop and what food you buy. I recommend going to Aldi because it’s so much cheaper than any other grocery store here:) otherwise I have 0 expenses on transport because I walk everywhere. The only necessary expense is really just food☺️
Economy is great choice, we gonna need smart and beautiful people like you Adela to repair the economy after a possible economic depression coming. I also walk when I have anxiety. I wish you all the best:-)
she knows the campus so well that she walked backward the entire video. I would've had an anxiety attack if I had to do that for 5 seconds.
good observation lol
Very informative! I also really like the fact that you made sure to show us a glimpse of the area! Nicely filmed as well
Thank you so much for watching!:) and the filming credits go to my friend Hannah haha, she’s a great videographer

This is great! I also have a 73 Questions series on my channel. I find them so useful and fun to make too. I'm studying at Edinburgh :)

How's the science section at the univ? To be specific biological sciences...
The concept and presentation are great, but there are quite a lot of additional noises and wind sounds in the video.
The first 73 Questions where I actually got to the 73rd question. Vogue needs to up its game! 😆

I think I might apply here but I’m worried about the expenses. How much would you say you spend a week excluding accommodation?
