I've been coming back to this song for years... it's so good. The ending in particular goes HARD, man. I've never heard an acoustic guitar be that heavy to this day. I'm a luthier, too, so hearing someone play a guitar this well gives me immense joy. You're fuckin' incredible.
I use 1 pickup on my acoustic and go through an electric guitar amp which gives me the sound. Thanks so much Josh :)

It's rare that I hear a song on Pandora (Black Keys Radio) and immediately search it out... the song wasn't even over before I ran to the keyboard. It was an enormous shock when I found out that Mitch King wasn't enormously famous... because his music is better than 99% of the stuff out there today. Keep it up man, you're gonna be HUGE!

Holy crap I don’t think I’ve ever seen seen someone use a harmonica as a microphone for that kind of vocal filter before. Fucking ingenious. I thought it was something done in post when I first heard the song. That is one of the most creative things I’ve ever seen.

Like others, I came across this listening to the Black Keys radio on Pandora. Working on my truck, I had to crawl out from under it as fast as I could before the song ended to find out who just melted my ears off. What a jam, man. Good stuff. I stinking love this song.... Honestly the instrumentals are just absolutely amazingly satisfying to listen to. Everything about them is just "UH" i honestly don't even know how to words the feeling haha. It's rare for music to get me moving uncontrollably, and your music does. It gets my crew moving in the restaurant I manage as well, most of my employees don't like a lot of my music but ol Mitch brings the bangers that get the team moving xD

He said “C, G, C, C, G, C. (G string tuned low.) also I use 13-56 gauge strings, which helps compensate for the low tuning.

Introduced to Mitch King for the first time, opening up for American folk rock band America. I have to say, I was well impressed. He knows how to captivate his audience. I truly wish him every bit of success, his hard work and humble nature is deserved of every bit the accolades received the night I saw him.
Been listening to this on pandora for a while. Only from this video do I learn that it's not and entire band, but one very coordinated gentlemen. Truly amazing.

Pandora doesn't always get it right but I had on RL Burnside radio at work one day(plays a lotta black keys, discovered jj grey and mofro off the RL Burnside station) and Coming Back came on, Southerly Change, etc...Definitely a Mitch King fan now. Had no idea he was basically a one man band with this much talent until watching some of these videos. Hope he keeps it up.
