the season didnt kill rocket league epic did and their silly decisions adding rocket racing to fortnite removed trading which was a big part of the community and reason most creators thrived on yt
I'm super late to this vid but i just got it recommended, and what can i say, I fully agree with you. Rocket League IS a REALLY fun game, but for content it's just eh. It's like trying to get water out of a stone nowadays. Since Rocket League is an already nearly 10 year old game with VERY established creators (musty, leth, sunless) who can basically pump out any type of content on the game (whether it's clickbaity or just average content) it means that as a smaller creator there's a ceiling which is nearly impossible to break through. Rocket League simply NEEDS innovation and it's obviously been lacking it since we have the same old creators just dominating (and smaller guys struggling). At the end of the day, Rocket League is what it is, if it gets major updates + influx of players again, then it's a content farm, but right now it's a desert. I really hope you can find your content style and put your hard work into what you want to do on yt, and make sure to be CONSISTENT. Much love!!
Rocket league is still fun but epic has a serious issue where they neglect their other projects and hyperfocus on battle royale, also i dont think the epic games layoffs have helped either. Its as if they have spread themselves too thin while also greatly focusing on br. I'm not an expert but i think its probably hard for epic to NOT be pressured so heavily to prioritize profits since there are now so much external companies with large steak of epic. I think its unfortuneate side effect of them selling off 40 percent of shares right before fortnite blew up, and because they wanted to streamline everything, now psyonix dev team gets roped into the mess.
Nah fr i get what u mean the creators have used all the ideas and the market is too saturated. Epic needs too add more content so their fanbase can grow and people can enjoy the game. Fortnite is thriving bur RL is dying. I never thought RL would die but if you look at it's condition rn...
I really don't think there's anything they can do. They can't add content that will greatly change the core gameplay. Especially because of the professional scene. Unfortunately I think the game will slowly die from here on out because there isn't enough people watching anymore. Epic Games has no incentive to put time and effort into a game that brings no money or attention in return. sad
tbh RL is loosing 180.000 players on average monthly with 80.000.000 active monthly players so its nearly nothing, just enjoy the game you like without thinking about stuff you cant change either
@@swavyrico Yes I agree and I feel like even though epic has helped the pro scene grow, they really don't care too much about RL, and focus on Fortnite. I think is Psyonix could have made the game big before epic bought it, the game would be more popular and Psyonix would've listened to the community. The new season has online free play, and split shot but that's a last ditch effort to save the game. It's like when they removed trading and everyone was getting pissed, but epic just posted about new LTMs and packs you can but. RL has just become a money house for epic and when it eventually dies (pretty soon) they won't care. The pro scene is bad as well, with the long off seasons so many orgs are backing out as they can't make enough money for pros. I feel kinda sad but will continue to play the game as I love it.
i mean, we have sunless and lethamyr doing story videos or maps that leth created, i don't really know something that you could do with rocket league ...
Exactly my point, we have resorted to modding the game to make it remotely interesting to watch on UA-cam. Not that it's a bad thing, but no one is watching otherwise.
He’s done it forever bro… the disrespect for this dude is actually sad. Sunless got his subs from when rocket league was good. Also your age checks out about how you act
@@quickclips8340 😂 i really dont care what u think and all i was just doing is giving an idea that youtubers still get views and that rocket league is dead but rl youtube is differnt
Rocket league is dead. I dont even enjoy playing anymore to be honest. Wish it was different but im not impressed with the added freeplay and boost meter of mates. We had been asking for that for years. If epic really wants to step up, they have to release a new version with social media built into it. Skip discord, skip the current "friends" tab, skip the current way to make new friends and invite to party old school way. Make it an entirely new "Rocket League IG". Bring trading back and have it work across the new social media platform. When devs say theres nothing new they can add to the game, i laugh, because they obviouspy lack creativity. Oh well, i guess let it die then idk. Its 2024, i shouldnt need to go to discord (or anything outside the game itself) to findsomeone to party up with and avoid soloqueing. Have the platform make suggestions or show the players stats, they already track those stats, how hard could it be to implement. A little code? Lol. Pull yourself together epic, this sht aint that hard. Just make it better, easy.
@swavyrico thanks man. I really havent put too much thought into it. I just know there are so many small things that could change or just be revamped with careful, creative thoughts in mind. The core gameplay doesnt have to change at all.
ur super underrated bro ngl i just subbed

Nice vid bro!
When psyonix sold themselves to epic is when rl died.

of course, I'm still going to love playing this game but I'm no longer going to keep making videos on the game anymore
