On menus of Chinese restaurants in the states , the meals are numbered. Almond chicken, pork fried rice, and an egg roll is a number 4 in my favorite restaurant.
I get #13 chicken/pork/beef/or vegetable fried rice, Cantonese chow mein, 3 chicken balls, and a spring roll.
In the States, you're not eating Chinese food.
It's about as Chinese as Chipotle is Mexican.

@@riffgroove There are plenty of authentic Chinese places in the US. 2 of the places I use to go in Chinatown didn't even have English menus.

I'm half-Japanese and always find Family Guy's Asian jokes to be so funny! Also, I'm half-Japanese and horrible at math, so there goes the stereotype that Asians are good at math, lol. I always love your reactions, guys! Looking forward to what's next.

Family Guy stereotype jokes are funny overall. I'm italian, Family guy stereotypes about italians are hilarous (I mean, we tend to be a bit exaggerated and all, but we ain't like that, those are New York italians. It's different, like imagine taking a persian cat and having it breed with Wilfred Warrior. You cross an italian and an american and you get a Newyorker, and you don't wanna, they bite)
If you're just half japanese, you were probably just half right in math and being half right in math is always wrong. 😋
I also used to feel offended by some of the jokes, but its just genuinely dark humor, its not one sided at all, every race gets it lol
if you can't determine what they mean by their tone of voice when it's a clear difference you are just wrong. I will get mad if it's meant to hurt me, but use a load of dark rough humor myself.

#69 and #32 were apparently the numbers for meals/dishes on some fictional Chinese restaurants' Menus
Pretty much every Chinese food place lists their dishes with a corresponding number from 1 to however many dishes they have, it probably started in the US because it made ordering easier due to the language barrier, even today at my local Chinese place sometime the old mother of the owner answers the phone and she barely speaks English

Lol, number 32 is referring to a Chinese food order. In the U.S they have all these crazy combos you can pick from for like 5 bucks

@@ivankawnartist the combos?! It defers from Chinese place to Chinese place but I can be found 5-10 bucks just about anywhere! It normally comes with like three different items in a styrofoam container

This is no lie. One time while traveling to Canada via Upper Michigan, I stopped at a hotel in Galord, Michigan (hope they are ok after the tornado), and an older Indian lady was working there. It was probably about 11:30 at night, but I went to get the room and she looked at me and asked "Are you Chinese?", to which I had no idea what to say and all I could get out of my mouth was "No, I'm American"....lol
With my blue eyes and Irish looks, somehow that was enough to convince her. I should have asked if being Chinese would get me a room discount.
Nice to see your reaction videos. I've also seen the one where you reacted on specific Indian jokes. You were honest and thoughtful. Clear explanations what is offensive or true or both at the same time. The two of you seem bright and thoughtful.

Actually, a lot of the jokes are self-directed; meaning rather than making fun of the subject of the joke, the joke is making fun of the character making the comment/joke.
For example, when Peter is a police sketch artist, the fact that he asks for so many details about the attacker, but then ends up drawing the most stereotypical, childish, cartoonish image of an Asian person. The true punchline of the joke is actually what an idiotic moron Peter is.
Peter, in turn, is meant to represent the typical "every man" in America (hence the name of the show, Family Guy). Of course, in reality, Peter does not represent the average American. But that is a basic element of almost ALL comedy..........exaggeration.
Plus no one ever considers that maybe a Chinese writer in the room wrote the joke about Chinese people, or a woman wrote the joke making funof women

@@quasimotto8653 I was watching Saturday Night Live and one of the jokes on the Weekend Update part was Michael Che making a joke about women and of course the crowd groaned a bit and he told them, before u get mad it was a woman who wrote that joke

No matter how many scenes from Family Guy I watch: my all-time favourite is the Asian woman driving without the turn signal on. I prefer American Dad in general, specially because Roger is the funniest US animated character. But that scene is just hilarious.
Btw talking about American Dad, I think you'll find some of those compilations very funny, if you want to react to them.

Several times in your reactions you wanted to say something but the next Family Clip came on and interrupted you. I would have liked to hear your reaction to individual clips (as long as you don't take too long). If you press the space bar on the keyboard, it will pause the video. Then you can comment at your leisure. Pressing the space bar again will resume the play.
Also, pressing the left arrow key will back the video up 5 seconds as well as the right arrow will fast forward 5 seconds.

lol, yes! the 69 and 32 jokes are all about Chinese menu items instead of saying what the name of the dish is. :D It is very common to order Chinese food by the menu item number instead of the name of the dish like "I'll have a number 12" instead of saying you want the Kung Pao Chicken dinner plate.

Asian has a different common usage in The US. Their west coast is closer to Japan & China & following WW2 there was colonisation (if only economic) of Japan & its former colonies: Korea, Vietnam.. These are the people Americans are thinking of when they say Asian.

It's good to be able to laugh at funny stereotypes of one's culture. I'm Jewish on my mother's side and Irish on my dad's side and Family Guy makes jokes about both.

If somebody went to an unknown faraway rural place, we say he's gone to TIMBUKTU. If the police are looking for someone but his name is unknown he is called JOHN DOE. Someone's signature is called their "JOHN HANCOCK.." A non-specific member of society might be called JOHN Q. PUBLIC or JOE SIXPACK. The actor who doesn't want to be credited in the movie is billed as GEORGE SPELVIN, and the writer/director is called ALAN SMITHEE. If a place is very far away, we say it's a ZILLION miles. If not, we might say it's UMPTEEN miles. It would be fun to know what you say to each other to imply that the answer is unknown.
When you order from Asians restaurants here. You order by numbers not name. Like Generals Chicken. Mmmm is like #28 or something. Mongolian Beef is rad too. And Broccoli beef. Sweet N sour is way to much sugar.
The numbers for food is referring to Chinese Food menu's, they list everything by number, it probably started because of the language barrier
