Many people do tend to confuse some of our English speakers with the New Zealand, Australian or England English accent. Hope that helps.
In SA 🇿🇦 we speak English and for English speakers from UK it's easy to make the distinction between SA, AUS, NZD accent. and I suppose anyone can spot a US English accent.

Even in middle school, there was a trend that happen for a short time when kids would try speaking English backwards to sound Russian... it likely was a line in a movie or something that started people doing that, or maybe it was an early internet video.

Yes, Russell Peters did accuse Trevor Noah of stealing jokes but Trevor Noah really didn't steal Russell Peters jokes it only seems that way because they're very similar comedians both of them are international comedians they both do a lot of shows overseas Russell Peters has been doing it slightly longer than Trevor Noah so I think that's where the confrontation comes from and that's why the joke is very similar but anybody would come to that conclusion about the Russian language 'cause I thought of that myself and I'm not even a comedian.
The Japanese language is scarry to me only because of all the movies! Whether soldiers in war movies, Yakuza gangsters, old time Samarai, or running in terror from Godzilla. There’s only been Mr Myagi that has softened their reputation!

Depends on what kind of media you're consuming. There's a lot of examples that Japanese can be a very soft and beautiful language too, just like any other language.

Russian accent does sound harder than the language but I think the language is still tough sounding. And yes Arabic always sounds so aggressive, and also to me is the ugliest languages. You shouldn't have to be an immigrant to be able to joke about it more, but in reality it helps yes...
