A lot of my Facebook friends have monitized their accounts and started posting reelz, viral reels/ tik toks and getting a following from it (and Facebook pays for these interactions) The Facebook posts are never credited and it’s meant to gain attention but it doesn’t change that they’re stealing peoples videos and making money off it.

@@woody_you_wantHow dare he try to come for the hairline of the hairline king. That might be the dumbest thing he said the whole debate..... and that is quite a feat.
xqc reminds me of that quote "Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway."
OMG I fucking love that quote because it's so true! In my family we have another one: "Never try to fight with a pig, becaus you'll both end up rolling in the mud and the pig will like it". Not exactly the same meaning but also a nice one!
The most transparent thing xqc said was "people would rather watch me on the floor doing the worm instead of watching the original videos" because it shows what he REALLY thinks about these smaller creators. Like, that is so insulting to those creators and it's clear he doesn't give a flying sh*t about them.
he really should do a react-free week. even if he isnt smart enough to appreciate a videos actual contents and ideas he might appreciate their existence
Idk why these idiots farm more drama just for xQc to use them in his vids for content. He’s an entertainer, alright? He’s using you fools for content! And you’re all falling for it!
Can we talk about how fast she came into frame though, she heard this fool *attempting* to diss her and her husband's livelihood and the only one in XQc's corner is a physical insult toward Ethan, which Hila immediately shuts down with a smile and "My husband looks awesome, I'm having a third child with him🥰"
i also want to bring up that Ethan & Hila were taken to court bc someone got butthurt abt a reaction video they made, & they had to argue fair use. so to debate two people who had to go court over this with zero preparation is crazy lmao
They’re basically the godfathers of fair use on the internet. They’ve won every single time they’ve been sued over this. If you’re gonna debate them, you better have some strong ass arguments Edit: some spelling mistakes lmao

Watching xqc argue is so frustrating lol, he always gets emotional and just starts attacking people personally, and making incoherent arguments. It's like watching a 13-year-old trapped in a grown man's body.
It has to be his strategy. I guess all he needs to do is keep his fans entertained and he’s got it made. He was never going to approach this in good faith from the start.
Not only did Teddy fresh fire the employee who secretly stole a design from a 80s knitting book. They then reached out to the original designer, paid him, then collaborated with him on more designs.
I think people misinterpret Ethan’s position as anti-react content when that couldn’t be further from the truth. He wants *fair use* react content. There’s a big difference and you can tell who does and doesn’t understand fair use just by how they interpret Ethan’s position
Exactly, Ethan is arguing that Reacting isn't bad, it's the intentions behind the reaction. Cuz reacting does draw away the original content creator's views.
yeah that’s was the only thing that bothered me about nick’s video was that he didn’t seem to fully understand that a) ethan & hila are like…the people who ser the precedent for react content on youtube b) they DEFINITELY don’t hate all react content they just don’t like outright thieves like xQc c) he was specifically debating over UA-cam CURRENT RULES & REGS. he wasn’t advocating for new legislature, he was just arguing about the rules that currently exist. and also HE IS THE ONE PERSON ON YT THAT UNDERSTANDS THESE RULES THE MOST. just felt like such silly outliers comments from nick when he’s like “i don’t fully agree with either party” and then say things that ….. 100% align with ethan’s views lol
@@trueMAXIMUS exactly Everyone can come to agreements that stealing videos and views is bad. People like Hasan and XQC just ruins react content for everyone else that does it. And what you said I can agree with, Ethan is standing strong compared to XQC in a debate. XQC is just there to argue over something he doesn't even know what he's talking about. Even more so he resorted to mostly side arguments and strawmans that had nothing to do with fair use and copyright rules/law. He didn't mention anything new to rectify the problems. Also he still yet to pay the 10x to Vincent and acouple other people that he so mentioned not answering Ethan straight up on the question if he even paid anyone back for stolen content.
@@koreancowboy42 yes 100% !! it's just so pathetic on xQc's behalf and he keeps getting away with it because his audience is primarily children. i used to be okay with the guy back when he was an Overwatch League player but he just kept screwing up his opportunities by behaving like a jackass, and it's only gotten worse. can't wait til he pulls a logan paul and starts outright scamming his audience. hopefully vince and everyone that xQc has stolen from are compensated in the future
@@trueMAXIMUS that's the thing XQC's entire fanbase is children and halfwits. Children are the most easiest fans to get and he's abusing it to his advantage. Hasan has no excuse at this either, the fact he had the nerve to defend XQC makes him one of the worst Co hosts I've seen yet in podcasts and or conversations. Ethan should've straight up found someone else for a cohost Should've gotten in touch with Efap. Mooler and Rags and the others whom I love their content they recently went over Ethan Vs XQC incident and they knew XQC was bullshitting and no taking it seriously but still had a reasonable conservation talk about the issues. Like this is why I kind dislike today's social media and communities. It's that social media is power in the content creation platforms. Someone with smaller fanbase won't go confront a bigger fanbase. They'd go to some like like Ethan or TheActman and or Efap. Like their people who understands everything they've been there. Especially with TheActman and everyone else destroyed QuantumTV xD for his abuse of copyright spams And honestly XQC doesn't deserve millions of dollars
Fun fact: Vince Vintage reached out to xQc to take him up on the 10x offer right after the debate, and xQc just left him unread. Vince says he only received a swarm of shitty dm’s from xQc fans.
lol, xqc's editor team emailed vince a couple of days ago which vince didn't respond to. only like a day ago vince sent that 10x offer dm and this was while xqc was travelling. vince only used this opportunity to jump on the bandwagon
@@verycool5251 so is it the email offer or the verbal offer? Is it actually 10x or is that simply publicity? Is the 10x thing for people like you to go. Ooooo see 10x!!!

ikr?? Especially knowing she used to be a rather shy and softspoken person. Ethan is also always very outspoken about Hila getting the proper credit she deserves for her work, because as the more public and recognizable person, a lot of people just accredit TF's success to Ethan when it's very much Hila's company built on her art and designs. I didn't follow what was going with the drama so I wasn't aware of the art theft incident but I'm also so glad they took it so seriously as a company and worked to make it right :)
i don’t know anything about this situation, i’ve only just started the video and i’m not sure if this is satire or if this is something that he seriously did yet. i’ll find out
This dude arguing with Ethan gave me the vibe of that kid in high school who thought he was smarter than the teacher trying to correct the teacher. And he gets shot down immediately when the teacher explains to him why he’s totally wrong. And then he cries like a baby.
I love learning about drama that doesn't reach my side of the internet and that I wouldn't have any desire of learning at all except when Nick does it.
I'm usually in that same position but this one I'm neck-deep in, unfortunately I suffer from H3/Hasan brainrot so I'm practically an expert on react-gate

When you say there isn’t a rule book to go on as far as reacting goes, that’s isn’t the case. Ethan went to court over this and it was ruled that reactions have to be TRANSFORMATIVE. It’s logged in legal documents titled Hosseinzadeh VS Klein. It’s is now a precedent within the court system. Therefore: there is a “rule book”
I KEEP TRYING TO TELL PPL THIS IN COMMENTS HAHAH. I’m a fupa trooper of 10+ years, and was there through the whole first lawsuit, so I’m so annoyed by ppl acting like Ethan doesn’t know what he’s talking about on this topic (and ppl like Hasan also seem to be painting Ethan as a “react harder” type of person, which he is literally not…)
Exactlyyyyyyyy! Ppl seem to forget that Ethan is quite literally the most expert creator on this topic AND has recently become an incredibly skilled debater lol
Ethan did NOT set the legal precedent for fair use, The judge in his case specifically said this ruling does not apply to anything else and it depends on a case by case basis
I do really wish everyone would stop looking at this as just drama. Fair use is important. The work Hila and Ethan both have done for fair use will do so much good for the future of media.
My favourite out of all the opponents has been the NXIVM dude who faked tourettes and him finding out Ethan has tourettes. Possibly my favourite moment on the internet
Tbf Ethan has been getting better. But that's ALSO a good thing because it shows if you work on something, you can progress. He doesn't have to rely on trying to pull "got you" moments, he slowly cooks them lol
I’ve been really surprised with Ethan lately honestly he’s been getting better at debates and learning/growing. Cause he wasn’t always at this level, you can tell he’s grown since the first few debates
I don’t think that he thinks of himself as a great debater either though. Recently he called himself something like “a litmus test for dumbasses” and tbh I agree it’s not like his opponents have been intellectual powerhouses lol. But that’s what makes it so great, they’re still willing to go on the show and fall flat on their face

i think nick's take on the video is kind of generous. Jackfilms did a video on sniperwolf and she was reacting to animators without acknowledging them. Nick gets the good part of react where most people mention him and can trace back to him, for good or malicious reasons, but most creators don't even get acknowledged and that sucks. Imagine making a whole 1 to 2 minute animation by hand, posting it and someone reacting to it gets the fruits of your labor?
Yeah nick was basically saying "it's fine for me" and calls the lost revenue "a couple dollars". I guarantee you xqc is making thousands of dollars on these UA-cam videos and that's not insignificant to most people
I think a big factor that gets overshadowed by the whole "react harder" argument is respect for the creators and the content that he watches. If he wasn't reacting because he was just so absorbed in how good the video was I think people would probably give him a little more leeway. What this debate really confirmed is that XQC doesn't think creators make content because they like to, or for money. No, he thinks all content is made specifically because he needs to put something on the stream. In the debate he seems to think the people making the content he watches are basically peasants while he's a lord.
wow, when u put it that way, i can see it. he thinks streaming circle crosses so many paths with the youtube content circle that these people are like producers for the twitch overlords to react to
XQC pulled out an edited clip and Ethan and his team pulled up the vod in like 5 seconds. It was insane lol. XQC started losing the debate and got personal with it instead of just saying "Yeah, we've both been lazy and we both could do better, ill do better from now on and start asking for permission and try to make things transformative" but ultimately juicers are kids and they could care less if XQC steals content.
As someone who did debating in high school for 4 years, went to almost all our outside debates with other schools and competitions... and was bad at debating myself for all 4 years.... this is a travesty
I mean most youtube debates are awful, they don't even follow any basic debate format. I'd find it truly interesting if someone did the intros, rebuttals, questions, conclusions format.
Not to weigh up even more grievances against xqc but this guy has been playing in the pogchamps chess tournament with so much disrespect. Just completely ditching and not showing up some days with no prior warning and jacking with an entire tournament schedule that requires the cooperation of so many creators. Just day after day he is giving himself the worst PR and I don't understand how he has such a massive audience.
His audience are kids. Like Logan Paul, most kids/teenagers don't really care about behavior or the ethics involved since they themselves are learning that.

Reacting to another creators work on twitch is one thing. Reuploading it to UA-cam, unedited with little commentary is another. That’s direct competition on the same platform, and it’s hard to argue for it. Just respect other people’s work, not that complicated.
"I think there are strategies before doing the worm that we can employ to get points across" is such a hilarious statement to say unironically--- and then on top of that hes right
I won’t lie, I love react content, whether it be hasan reacting to Japanese apartments or a guy like gorthemoviegod reacting to memes and anime, it’s fun content to watch. And yeah as many have said before it feels like watching things with friends and that’s why I watch it. My problem with xqc’s brand of content is that he never elaborates or even says any opinions about what he watches. Also, if he was just a regular streamer/UA-camr then nobody would really care, but it’s the fact that one of the biggest streamers is this lazy when it comes to something like reacting to a video that pisses people off.
@@bobanodayeah that's the thing with Hasan, he makes things so informative. It reminds me of how teachers use things to teach. It's wild that people go after him the same as xqc
There’s definitely different levels of quality to react content just like with every other genre of UA-cam video. It’s not bad as a whole. But unfortunately some of the laziest/worse creators are the most successful and become representatives of the whole thing.
morgan & morgan is unethical as fuck. wild to see them sponsoring youtube content like this. they’re majorly disliked in the legal world by other firms *and* judges. they’re required to be non-cordial and inflexible with opposing parties, which makes them less likely to get beneficial settlements or beneficial concessions from the other side, more likely to get unfavorable rulings due to clogging dockets with housekeeping motions that judges expect people to work out on their own, and all of that drives up risk and expenses for clients. they’re a plaintiff-side personal injury firm, so you’d expect them to be “the good guy,” but they’re not - their tactics are harmful for their injured clients. edit: them paying youtubers for ad reads also might be an ethical violation in terms of rules surrounding attorney advertisements.
@@nukhbaguloter yup. an internal memo came out a few months ago showing that it’s an actual mandatory policy. totally insane to have that policy in the first place, but putting it in writing is top-tier crazy.
Nick, people aren’t against react content and it’s not that they’re saying “react harder,” the issue is the sheer amount of people just blatantly stealing peoples content without transforming it or giving credit.
No people do absolutely say that. I mean look at pretty much any reaction channels comments there will always be people saying react harder although to be fair that's mostly just them being pissy a reactor dared react in a way they don't personally like. When it comes to fair use I think saying react harder isn't a completely incorrect way to sum up "put more effort and thought into your reaction". If you react more you're kind of automatically making it more transformative as opposed to just passively watching with some words sprinkled in
I think there are two things that are key here. 1. The difference between commentary and reaction. One is just someone silently watching a video, throwing in some oohs and ahhh. Commentary provides actually thoughts and opinions on topics. 2. For the love of god just cite the source and get permission from the original creators
yes! I also think respect for the creator of the content they're watching plays a huge part. A creator who says they enjoy the content from the channel, makes it clear which channel it is, pays attention to the video, and adds their own thoughts and opinions is very different from a creator who just uses someone else's content as background noise. I've seen creators put on a video and then proceed to talk over it about unrelated things, play unrelated sound effects over it, go make food, etc. Those creators don't respect the videos creator.
the funny thing about xqc is that hes trying to entrap ppl by twisting their words or jumping to conclusions which is already not a good basis for an argument but he cant even do what hes trying to do its incredibly sad
A Hasan Stream came on and he was playing a Jarvis video. I got so into listening to Jarvis while I did my make up I legitimately forgot that Hasan was there cause he didn't say anything for a long time. I realized Mutahar actually has a good point about transformative etc. but idk a better alternative for content hungry streamers
I find it super frustrating when I pop on a Hasan reaction UA-cam clip, and it starts with "BRB I have to pee" and it's a chair stream while the video plays for 10 minutes. All legality and morality aside, that's bad entertainment.
@@yeturs69420 He also streams for like 10hrs straight or more a lot of the time. It’s live streaming and streamers are humans who have to piss and shit. His chatters literally time his pee breaks and they’re often 2mins or less, so you’re exaggerating on the “chair stream” thing. The fact that you consider someone going to the washroom as bad entertainment and get frustrated by it is beyond ridiculous tbh. All streamers take breaks unless they are doing a short stream. They’re just people, not robots. It would do you good to remember that rather than getting upset over something that is just part of being alive. Would you rather they piss in a water bottle under their desk or something? If so you desperately need to touch some grass dude. Also, just a FYI the reaction channels are fan accounts, so it’s not like Hasan or his editor are deciding to keep those parts in. You’re getting upset by fan accounts and their poor editing, not the actual streamer lol
The way XQC was so completely checked out when Ethan was reading how the other creator felt until he mentioned Twitter drama. Bro literally lit up like he knew instantly that no matter how this situation goes down he was gonna be getting so much attention from this situation. The complete lack of empathy from XQC makes my blood boil I can’t stand this guy.
I like how this XQC guy wants to use debate terms and then resorts to mean ad-hominem attacks when he is losing, and then gets mad when ethan lightly teases him back. I love when people who interrupt constantly and refuse to stop talking get mad when they are interrupted because they want to make 30 points in one paragraph.
The best reactors pause the video, analyze and voice their thoughts and interpretation; giving something that you can’t get with the original video, sparks conversation, and maybe even introduce someone to the original creator I like to think the silent majority is like that (also asking permission is a must)
I don't think the argument has ever been "You reacting to something directly steals views" like how you explained, because yeah that doesn't make sense and everyone knows that. The issue is when someone searches for something and they watch the reaction video instead of the original because it comes up first or has more views.
Yeah pretty much, in the video Nick says something along the lines of "it's not like those views would have gone back to the original creator" which sounds to me like a misconstrued view of what's typically argued. Darkviper for example argues that if these reaction videos didn't exist, the people who watch them would still probably have been browsing youtube and would've just ended up watching some other random video. So as far as i understand it the argument is never really that it steals views but that the views would've otherwise spread across the entire platform.
Yeah, spread to people like the original creator. It just takes one person to share something at the right time for it to go viral. You're right most of the time, but most isn't good enough. Honestly these people could sew xQc and win for incurring substantial damages, but he only takes videos from people that don't have enough income to combat him in court. xQc would burry them financially like Matt Hoss would have done to H3 had it not been for Phil DeFranco. Think for yourself instead of fielding other opinions on the matter and regurgitating them. Y'all would know if you're frontal cortex was ripe already. But clearly you have no life experience, and your take was the least transformative shit I've seen since today's Sssniperwolf drop. You'll see in time that you're on the wrong side of history atm, and I feel bad for you.
While I get Nick’s point about reactgate being nuanced. I think its weird to call the largest streamers in the space “fringe” cases. The majority of content and views in the react space are from people like xqc
@@imnobodywhoareu yeah... the most infamous occasion was when he was suspended from overwatch for 4 matches (he played competitively) and fined 2000 dollars for using a homophobic slur against an opponent after loosing a match

The most embarrassing part is the teddyfresh with hila imo, xQc could have made a point that sometimes when you got a team people under you make mistakes and you as the face takes the brunt. XQc choose not to on that route and instead say "me and my editors don't care",that fails because Hila took measures when the copy thing happened, he decides to call bald a man with a full head of hair, and say "i would leave him" when X himself is going through divorce. Couldn't do worse if he tried
Yea but Hasan also is too prideful to admit he’s wrong sometimes and he encourages the chat to disregard the very valid complaints that some content creators gave about react streamers 🙄
Ethan said that the deleted tweets are because xqc shared some personal details about his life in them and Ethan felt like that was a kinda slimy move to share those specifically so he deleted them and apologised for sharing them
The way he deflected the blame onto his editor 😭 Also I'd rather watch a 32 min video of Nick talking about drama instead of watching a dozen different tiktoks
I wish you included the clip of Xqc saying, "When will the tantrum end, Ethan?" after yelling and throwing insults at him nonstop for an hour and a half 🤡
I just found out he used to be a pro Overwatch player. I′m not saying he should have put himself in a box and stick to gaming entirely but at least put some effort into reacting 😭
@@asuka-ryo Pro is a stretch, He got suspended like twice and cut from the OWL SO fast... Its the only reason I even know of this guy, he was such a shit head he played like maybe two games lol
xqc, reminds me of a kid I went to high school with who made such a fool of himself that the staff and our class did not ever take him seriously. Him being around was such a mood killer; he came to the same college as me, and when he couldn’t get away with his behavior, he dropped out-being childish needs to stop at a point because no growth will ever happen.
Zoe Bee actually had a pretty nice solution to the drama. She proposed a kind of picture in picture version, where you essentially watch both videos at the same time. If UA-cam would implement that and both sides got ad revenue from it the entire thing would be fixed. Basically a watch together where the reactor controls the video played. Anyone who has watched League pro play costreams when most co streamers weren't allowed to stream the game itself probably already knows this system.
Personally I think the quality of commentary is an extremely valid argument their is such an obvious difference between reaction creators like you for instance Nick and XQC. You provide thought provoking and entertaining commentary, while XQCs commentary can be summed up by "OMG", "wow look at that guys", "that's so cool".
Honestly you don't even have to bring recent stuff up. This is the guy who promoted gambling to underage boys. Which funny enough he also debated with Ethan, which made him and Mizkif agree to never gamble again 😂
You definitely hit me I have a dashcam with your face directly in frame. Not only will you get arrested for a hit and run which killed multiple pedestrians, but you will not get arrested for purgery.
Teddy Fresh even reached out to the original artist that their designer copied from and they licensed the image from him and made it a whole collaboration. Such a bad faith argument from xQc
When xQc said he got Ethan to mald… xQc was the one who was like “I wanna talk about this particular situation” and as soon as Ethan starts explaining how it was handled differently, cuts him off by practically yelling “I don’t care”
Ethan is only as mad as he is about the whole thing because he fought for this very precedent on UA-cam and it seems like certain react streamers toe the line wayyyyy harder than they should. React content definitely helps and helped with me finding myself on this side of the internet and learning far more than I thought I ever could. But non transformative content definitely doesn’t help the value of content creation.
The most frustrating part is that XqC can't take any criticism. Like it's a nuanced situation so I'd genuinely listen to him and his perspective if he at least acknowledged its not as simple as he makes out
morgan and morgan won my lawsuit last year from my car accident! genuinely they were so awesome and helpful. they got me my money and advocated for me for like a full 6 months of lawsuit bullshit. super reliable and awesome people. and i didn’t have to pay a cent out of pocket they took it out of my settlement so i didn’t think about it! it was awesome like literally gas love morgan and morgan
You're way over simplifying it the anti-reactor's points. DarkViper, for one, has explicitly stated that commentaries are fine, where you can think and prepare things before recording. I could be wrong, but I believe he implied people like Danny Gonzales are not who he is talking about. No offense, but if they actually uploaded a reaction of your full video "in good faith," then why would they suck all of the value of the original out by making it a video they have now seen in its entirety. Someone who watched that reaction now has no reason to watch the original video and will likely pass it up if it shows in their recommendations which would lower the original's reach in the algorithm. Yes, if reactors didn't feature a certain channel's videos, those views would not strictly go to the original channel, but they would have to go somewhere. The fact that you mention that people who watch the reactor likely wouldn't watch the original otherwise means that the only one benefiting would be the reactor, who put in astronomically less work. DarkViper makes really good points and counter-arguments, some of the arguments you were saying were ones he has countered too and the points I made were paraphrases of his points, which implies you haven't heard his arguments from the horse's mouth and are creating a bit of a strawman.
DarkViper has some good points but they're completely overshadowed by the bad ones in my opinion. So I get where Nick is coming from. It's hard for me to take him seriously after he compared consent to reaction to sexual consent. I know he didn't say they were exactly the same, but even trying to make a connection between the two is insane to me as an SA victim.
these videos really feel like im just hanging out with my friends- its so nice. really appreciate all of the work that went into this video (its so long i feel so spoiled lol). great editing, composition, and commentary.

No one has ever said “react harder”, this was such a dumb cope by Hasan last time there was react drama. Jay Exci’s criticism was that Hasan put their video on, *hid Jay’s channel name and video title from the screen*, left to make himself chicken tendies and take a dump while the uncredited video babysitted the viewers, came back at the end, said “duuuuuude” and “is this guy disabled” while eating his tendies, then closed the video the microsecond there was a hint of Jay talking about a project they were working on. Then, when people told Hasan he could have at least credited the video, Hasan had a meltdown, banned everyone, yelled: “what am I supposed to do, DIE?!?!?” and pretended people were asking him to react harder. Both Hasan and xQc are incapable of accepting the mildest of criticism. xQc just has a lot more adderall than Hasan.
And then DVAU came shitting all over the floor and derailed the discussion so everyone forgot the literal cause of the drama in favour of hate watching his shitty manifesto video.
Hasan is also very hypocritical in claiming to be a socialist when he does the literal most capitalistic thing possible, using other people's hard work for his benefit. I always find it shocking that he's so popular and how people think he's a good person. It's also worth bringing up the "America deserved 9/11 dude", yikes.
THANK YOU, I came looking for the Jay Exci support. I also remember Ethan (as in Ethanisonline) making a video about react content saying it's fine and loads of people pointed to Jay's video and Ethan was like "no the video is stupid". I like Ethan but I really had to take a step back from their content for a while after that. XQCs appeal (as I have observed bc I don’t watch him) is that he’s like a bug in a cup and people just kinda wait for him to do bizzare shit and laugh at him
I disagree with your take. It’s not about ruining their channel and stopping them from being a creator, it’s stealing. It’s someone’s hard work and intellectual property. I understand and Ethan brought up during the “debate” that sharing content between friends and coworkers is different because you’re all under the agreement of mutual exposure, but there is a rule book about reacting to videos when you don’t have that. It’s like you’re running an art gallery that people have to pay to get in but all the artists aren’t even aware their art is in it and they aren’t getting a kick back on it. It’s theft, and while it’s not ill-intended it’s still harmful. The reason, especially people in the media space, work is protected is thanks to Ethan and the countless cases he won to protect people’s work. To say that it being harmful isn’t the norm when Ethan to this day still helps creators in court because of it is kinda crazy. I’m sorry, so you’re saying that it’s okay to not ask for permission to use someone else’s IP because at the end of the day it works out and it’s good for creators economy?

Cuz reacting does draw away the original content creator's views.

Imagine making a whole 1 to 2 minute animation by hand, posting it and someone reacting to it gets the fruits of your labor?

I think a big factor that gets overshadowed by the whole "react harder" argument is respect for the creators and the content that he watches. What this debate really confirmed is that XQC doesn't think creators make content because they like to, or for money. morgan & morgan is unethical as fuck. wild to see them sponsoring youtube content like this. they’re majorly disliked in the legal world by other firms *and* judges. they’re required to be non-cordial and inflexible with opposing parties, which makes them less likely to get beneficial settlements or beneficial concessions from the other side, more likely to get unfavorable rulings due to clogging dockets with housekeeping motions that judges expect people to work out on their own, and all of that drives up risk and expenses for clients. they’re a plaintiff-side personal injury firm, so you’d expect them to be “the good guy,” but they’re not - their tactics are harmful for their injured clients.

If you react more you're kind of automatically making it more transformative as opposed to just passively watching with some words sprinkled in
I literally see "react more" as a criticism all the time
i’m sure i don’t actually have to say this but y’all don’t hire a lawyer based on them sponsoring a youtuber 💀
as a lawyer, confirm.
i think morgan & morgan spends more money on marketing than anything they feel so gross
@@Roamoat they are notoriously gross and have a terrible rep in the legal community
Citing? None of these people know what that is lol
What xQc does is a watch party
@@slump_nuggiebasically
but reaction youtubers (should) give commentary on stuff they see, thats what jacksfilms is fighting for with sssniperwolf
the funny thing about xqc is that hes trying to entrap ppl by twisting their words or jumping to conclusions which is already not a good basis for an argument but he cant even do what hes trying to do its incredibly sad
Well you would have to actually talk and engage in order to do that and he just doesnt stop tweaking or ramble so ...
i have been waiting for someone to watch this and call xqc out because watching it live was so frustrating
people have been calling him out for a while
A Hasan Stream came on and he was playing a Jarvis video. I got so into listening to Jarvis while I did my make up I legitimately forgot that Hasan was there cause he didn't say anything for a long time. I realized Mutahar actually has a good point about transformative etc. but idk a better alternative for content hungry streamers
@@SaintShion Damn, that’s a genuine rarity. Hasan is notorious for pausing videos as he’s watching them to comment or expand on the topic lol
The best reactors pause the video, analyze and voice their thoughts and interpretation; giving something that you can’t get with the original video, sparks conversation, and maybe even introduce someone to the original creator
I like to think the silent majority is like that (also asking permission is a must)
why is nick getting sponsored by a law firm 😭😭😭
Honestly very smart marketing 😭💀 Companies should make more internet/youtube ads.
Hey law firms need clients too ✊😫
I don't think the argument has ever been "You reacting to something directly steals views" like how you explained, because yeah that doesn't make sense and everyone knows that.
The level of tantrum that XQC is having here genuinely shocks me, my mouth fell open listening to this while I washed the dishes.
While I get Nick’s point about reactgate being nuanced. I think its weird to call the largest streamers in the space “fringe” cases. The majority of content and views in the react space are from people like xqc

Couldn't do worse if he tried
i find it funny how xqc brought up Hasan as if his chat doesn’t constantly tell him to let the video play and stop pausing lmao
Yea but Hasan also is too prideful to admit he’s wrong sometimes and he encourages the chat to disregard the very valid complaints that some content creators gave about react streamers 🙄

xqc, reminds me of a kid I went to high school with who made such a fool of himself that the staff and our class did not ever take him seriously. Him being around was such a mood killer; he came to the same college as me, and when he couldn’t get away with his behavior, he dropped out-being childish needs to stop at a point because no growth will ever happen.
He reminds me of that one kid who thought he was a class clown when all he did was harass students and teachers
That's a good idea!!
Personally I think the quality of commentary is an extremely valid argument their is such an obvious difference between reaction creators like you for instance Nick and XQC.
You provide thought provoking and entertaining commentary, while XQCs commentary can be summed up by "OMG", "wow look at that guys", "that's so cool".
why are we surprised he is acting "slimy" and "gross" after selling out to Kick

When xQc said he got Ethan to mald… xQc was the one who was like “I wanna talk about this particular situation” and as soon as Ethan starts explaining how it was handled differently, cuts him off by practically yelling “I don’t care”
The creator who xqc called a paid actor changed his youtube bio to “i’m a paid actor” 😭😭😭
love the saltiness when he mention's Ethan has a 'supportive wife'
Ethan is only as mad as he is about the whole thing because he fought for this very precedent on UA-cam and it seems like certain react streamers toe the line wayyyyy harder than they should. React content definitely helps and helped with me finding myself on this side of the internet and learning far more than I thought I ever could. But non transformative content definitely doesn’t help the value of content creation.
The most frustrating part is that XqC can't take any criticism. Like it's a nuanced situation so I'd genuinely listen to him and his perspective if he at least acknowledged its not as simple as he makes out

THANK YOU for pointing this out
DarkViper has some good points but they're completely overshadowed by the bad ones in my opinion.
So I get where Nick is coming from.
It's hard for me to take him seriously after he compared consent to reaction to sexual consent. I know he didn't say they were exactly the same, but even trying to make a connection between the two is insane to me as an SA victim.

I don’t use tiktok so finding out about these super niche dramas in a 47 minute deep dive by you is the funniest and best part of my day.
Jay exci made me realize I'm trans. Just felt like putting that out there.

I’m sorry, so you’re saying that it’s okay to not ask for permission to use someone else’s IP because at the end of the day it works out and it’s good for creators economy?
i kinda see it more as reacting to the art and sharing that reaction, idk
@@ghumashenaa4414 but they still make money off of sharing their reaction. I’m not saying all reaction videos are bad, but the ones who don’t follow fair use are.
