Like that you were honest enough to say that it is possible that mint employees are removing coin errors from the mint. Bet that the higher ups at the mints get to cherry pick the errors that are held out. Would also add that there are probably some at the mint creating their own errors and selling them. Perks of the job vs corrupt.
I hope that's not happening.

Pretty sure there's consequences for jacking with the currency. If you're caught. If it was that easy, cut out the middleman and just put the money in your pocket.

Sometimes I literally get suck to my stomach when I think of a penny I used to have that had a nickel denomination stamped on top of an already Lincoln stamped penny. In theory it was an actual too headed coin and a two tail sided coin. I'm not sure if I wanna know the value of it . I picked it up lying in a parking lot in Opp Alabama my hometown
I have a 1981 no mint mark penny. It's in pretty good condition, no scratches that I can see. The color is a little rubbed away but otherwise, it's pretty nice. I was wondering if it was worth anything. I was just looking through my change...

Question. I have coins with the letters or numbers joined together with no separation. Also some with them blended into the rims. Do you have any information on those?

While it can become redundant, it is still a differant coin and there for, need to know information. Tolorance for those details is ultimately what makes a master after much experiance instead of a knowledgable hobbiest. Thankyou for adding those coins that seem repetative or maybe even are to an extent. Its good to reenforce knowledge too.

I have what I believe is a type 2S 1981 proof I got it at an estate sale and the finish on is really shiny I’m not really sure though. I noticed it does have a scratch on the front but it’s almost in near mint condition
How can I get coin saving supplies such as production charts and coin holders?
I found a 1981, with no mint mark, where the whole rim is missing. It is approximately the size of a dime. Could it be a real error or did somebody cut the rim off? How would I research this?
I got some coins after my Pop Pop passed and he had some pennies that were trimmed like how you described. I think people trimmed them to pass them off as dimes in vending machines. They were all from the 60s and 70s. Being a postman, he came across some weird coins. I have a few other pennies of his with metal bands around them that make them the size of a quarter. Pretty sure it was for the reason, to cheat machines.
