I have a 2011 Versa hatchback. Same engine same everything. I have coolant in my cylinders so it’s reading off as a p300/p303. And let me just say this is awesome! Took her to the shop and it’s a head gasket issue. Honestly by this video I might as well do it myself.

Hello Angel, you ask “Why is there oil in the spark plugs?” The answer is likely a bad PCV which caused the gasket leak. It should be changed to help prevent future gasket leaks. Thanks for the great video.

Great video as always. What a pain in the butt design on the intake manifold over the spark plugs.
A tip on the super glue. if you have something that's fallen off or broken and you don't have a way to hold it in place you can instantly cure super glue using baking soda. Have it ready put on the super glue get everything in position and then sprinkle a little bit of baking soda over the glue it will instantly harden. It will be white in color so it's not pretty but it does work and actually if you need to build up a layer to fill a hole or something you can actually layer it and then sand it afterwards and paint it if you want. They do make hardening sprays you find mostly used in modeling for RC airplanes and such that can be used that is clear once it cures. But the baking soda trick is easy cuz most people have some laying around.

07 -12 Versa is a good econ daily driver for tall dudes. You might buy a, Dorman Battery Fuse 924-078, part & keep it in the trunk. If someone sticks a cheapo power adapter in the 12volt port, that battery fuse sacfices itself to protect the car. However, the AC is weak from the factory.. Recommend only for cool climates.

or OIL, the heat 🔥 from the engine will ruin it, making it not last as long, it's kinda like putting an oil filter on without putting oil on the gasket of the filter, so it's the same procedure, It also says it in the shop manual... I mean great video bro, great job done!!,

Very common on higher mileage on this engine and the qr25 . The spark plug tube seals get hard and brittle and start to leak . The spark plug tube seals do not come separate and the entire valve cover requires replacement to fix this issue . No big deal easy fix

Is it a good idea to use some Permatex silicone gasket maker on the new valve cover gasket? I've seen some do that.

The inside 2 cylinders have the valve cover gasket leaking into the coil/spark tubes because those 2 get hotter than the outside 2.

Personally, after that much oil and brake clean went into cylinder 2 & 3, I wouldn't dare to start that engine unless I blast those cylinder with good amount of compressed air. The last thing I want is hydrostatic lock.

That’s the worst designed engine I’ve ever seen! You have to pull off half the engine just to get to the spark plugs? Crazy stuff!
You need to buy some crazy glue activation spray. It sets the glue in seconds.

Just a stupid question… why don’t you work inside your garage? It looks big enough for the cars you’re working on.

If there's oil on the spark plug then that means the engine is done. Mr18s are poorly built and designed to fail, usually around 175k. After blow by knocking starting happening and then the cylinder cracks. Happened to mine at 172k, but some guys I talked to got there's to 210k
