In this CoralFish12g video I travel to Dubai, to discover the region's best koi fish "nishikigoi". I hope you enjoy this tour of the best backyard ponds in the UAE and all the koi fish that live there.

I really like that doctor. He never seemed rushed. He never seemed annoyed. He never seemed too boastful or proud. He seemed so humble, beautiful and calm like his koi.
When you got that much money and have time for such a hobby, it would be sad if you were still miserable or irritable.
@@sepg5084 still, he is really a nice dude
He was so proud! I love it😂
There are so many nasty people (Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, Bill and Hillary Clinton, I'm looking at you) who are rich.
It's nice to see someone whom you can say, "Yeah, you know the true value of things, and how to really enjoy having money. You invest in living beauty. You deserve to be rich and I get a warm feeling knowing you know how to spend your money to bring more beauty into the world."
I should have gone into medicine
I knew I liked that doctor when he did not dismiss the $10 fish. He obviously loves koi and doesn't just see them as a status symbol.
$9 dollar koi:
That is certainly more than just a hobby... it's more like a dedication.
A dedication to clickbait.

More like an addiction.
FYI, the construction cost is not low because the large infrastructure at all, it's low because the guys you saw at work get payed 200 USD a month, if they get paid
Koi are close relatives to common goldfish. Goldfish are the type of fish I prefer because they have so much personality. They recognize their owners, and they show it! I had "Hushpuppie," whom I acquired for 12 cents from a pet store. I chose a drab-colored fish that I thought would never have had a chance at having a home if I hadn't taken him. His color changed with time and he became pale orange with a little orange moustache. He'd stick his head all the way out of the water at feeding time. "Hush, you're crazy!' I'd say. I had him 10 years. He's buried right next to my house. I know the exact spot. So, I get it.
Are you sure goldfish recognize owner and not just the food?
@@user-gu9yq5sj7c Excellent question, glad you asked! The answer is "yes" to both. When I had Hush and the other three goldfish, my father and I lived together. I used to get up earlier in the morning than my father did. I'd be the first person available to give the pets their breakfast, including the fish. I refused to overfeed them. One meal per day from me was all I'd allow. My father, on the other hand, enjoyed feeding the fish. He would offer them additional snacks throughout the day. When they knew they stood a chance to be fed, they would start their begging behavior: rapidly flapping their pectoral fins, opening and closing their mouths, shaking their heads from side to side, and facing the front of the aquarium toward whoever was standing there. I'd feed the fish, then they'd calm down. When my father arose in the morning, he'd greet the fish and they'd repeat the same begging behavior for him. They had him believing that I had never fed them. One day he and I tried an experiment. I had already fed the fish. When they saw him, they begged. I asked him to withdraw from their view. I stood in front of the tank. They did not beg. My father and I changed places. They went nuts. Furthermore, every time throughout the day that he'd stand in front of the tank, they'd beg. That proves that they could count to "one," and that they knew I had fed them once, and that they wouldn't get any more food from me until the next morning. It also proves that they knew who had fed them and who hadn't, and they knew from whom they could potentially get more food. In retrospect, we should have continued the experiment, using disguises to confuse them. Maybe we could have written a paper on it. At the time it was just a good joke among all six of us.
Anyway, their ruse was discovered and discouraged. I (somewhat) convinced my father of the dangers of overfeeding fish, so if I fed them in the morning and had to go out afterward, I'd leave him a note to this effect: "I fed the fish. Don't let them lead you to believe otherwise!' Who would have thought anyone would have to guard against dishonest fish...
I know how you feel I had bought 5 feeder gold fishes to save them and one lived up to 4 years and I named her Wanda . She was very smart and would do jumps in her tank .
@@user-gu9yq5sj7c
My gold fish used to jump when I go up to the tank . Out of the four years I had her she only done that with me and some of the times I didn't feed her. She changed color from orange to almost gold or light orange before she passed.
Interesting catch!
That's truly a Majestic, cool looking and adorable GIGANTIC Koi fish.
Absolutely breathtaking. I love koi and if I could would have a huge pond for them. Seeing these places makes me happy knowing how well taken care of they are and a little bit jealous. Thanks for sharing.
favorite episode thus far, the entrance was absolutely amazing!!
Nice thing about kois is that you can buy them pretty cheap but make sure you give them lots of love and hard work it will pay off 100x what it's worth
This is an amazing koi pond. The best I’ve ever seen. You know when coralfish12g posts up a new video it’s going to be spectacular
This is the first video about smt in Dubai i actually enjoyed watching
I live in Japan. I need to enjoy more of this stuff. Thanks for the idea! I might make a trip to some ponds.
Hay do you eat koi fish at all ,like the cheap ones that don't make the cut
Hmmm, I wonder why the labour cost of building in dubai is so significantly less than EU/US 🤔🤔🤔🤯🤚👍✊
Free sand? Lol
No human slavery
Immigrant labourers who are underpaid
You know that most of building labour in the US is done by illegal mexicain migrants, right ? Look it up buddy
Wow. What a lovely guy to share his hobby. Stunning fish!
He loves his fish😭❤️
Outstanding video George!! Keep up the quality vids you are doing. 👍🏻
The daughter of the most expensive koi fish in the world! SLAYS SOOO HARD 🤩
The point that it also looks like the Japanese flag is spectacular
Again, this is very informative, and some stunning fish on show. The Dr is a star, too! 😂
I wish I knew about this guy when I was in dubai, I would have went and visited him . That is incredible.
I liked this video way more than I thought I was going too. I clicked on to see a huge fish, and... Wow, very impressed.
Grateful to you for sharing all the amazing places & incredible fish!!! 👍👍👍
Another GREAT video ! It is the people you speak with and their stories that grab my undivided attention.
Dude has so much knowledge and is insanely passionate about his fish.
I have koi in my backyard in thailand
But they are really small
You are a inspiration for me and I want to have a big collection❤
Its not that there are “lots of builders”, its that they use slaves from africa and around the Middle East. The price for construction is so cheap because they dont/barely pay their labour. Use the right vernacular and address the actual situation.
THIS!!!! The whole "bling" the UAE give to the world is with the cost of modern slavery. They sell the dream for "better future" to poor south asian countries (india, bangladesh, or pakistan) and african countries. They like to justify this with 'they earn lot more here compare when they work in their own country'. And yet there are lot of cases of workers didn't get their payments after they work there for months! And most of the times they live in horrible conditions where all of these sultans live in their big rooms with air conditioners everywhere and the workers get roasted in their "labor camp". The authorities deny it of course and there's rarely any prosecution for the employer. Countries should definitely ban their own people to be migrant workers for UAE, have some self-respect to their own people and need to treat those people better so they don't fall to this modern slavery scenario.
I was looking for this comment!
And Asia mostly Asia
the quality of your videos are impeccable, it feels like a high production documentary.
I dream of having a koi pond in my backyard! The doctor's pond is amazing and so beautiful!
This man is a wonderful peaceful relaxed friendly man with wonderful passion. All those fish are beautiful. Lovely surroundings. Some people have it all and god bless him :) Greatings from Germany
What a life! Just open mouth, and food floats in.
Another great post by George
This video was so cool! Also the koi fish were so pretty and huge!
This will be my home one day. I'm crazy and I want to live in a fairy tale. Won't stop till I reach my goal. Gorgeous place dude✌️✌️
High end koi breeding is amazing. The process and effort is truly an art form
Amazing! Absolutely my dream pond!🇦🇺❤️
He looks like a super chill Uncle
Ahhhh serenity now!!! Beautiful.
Dr seems like a pretty cool guy. Wish I was wealthy enough to live in Dubai!
We have a 36 in koi named Oscar. He is 23 years old. There are about 12, the newest is named Kiko and she follows him everywhere! He suns himself and he recognizes my mother who feeds him. His pond is beautiful. Relaxing.
I have a larger pond with no filtration or chillers, just aeration and my Koi fish have been doing great! They double in size every summer when the temperature is high and they consume more food. From Kuwait where the temp goes up to 55 celsius.
It’s a time bomb, you are very fortunate to not of had any problem’s ….YET!
Think about it, you feed the fish, the fish poop into the pond, where does the waste go?
The fish waste contains ammonia which converts to nitrite, both of which are highly toxic to fish!
If you have a lot of plants and small fish they will process the waste but as the fish grow and produce more waste it will become more than the plants can process and that’s when fatalities will start to occur!
Please don’t wait till that happens, research some filtration now and get some installed, for the sake of the fish if nothing else!
If you fail to do so the fish will eventually poison themselves!
Beautiful fish, he was a nice guy.
this pond is no joke just like Dr john Hammond use to say"spare no expenses". lovely fishes, cats of the water 😍😍
There was (maybe still there) a koi fish hatchery in Santa Barbara, California. I remember going there to watch and feed the koi. It’s fascinating that koi fish will only grow as large in relation to the size of their pond. If you move a koi to a larger pond, it will grow accordingly. The koi farm in Santa Barbara had multiple ponds of multiple sizes filled with koi of various sizes. There is nothing as tranquil as relaxing and watching koi fish swim around and interact with the other koi and even humans. If I were a koi, I would definitely buy a plane ticket to Dubai and seek out the most expensive and elaborate koi pond where I would live the good life in a nice environment and 24 hour service with ten meals per day!
Very very nice sir.
I’ve got 4 that are two feet long, 20 years old.
Koi are gorgeous fish, with personalities.
Wow beautifull koi, love, like alook lake
Wow... Haider and his collection are amazing.
I loved the cool questions. Very informative.
I wish George had more intriguing questions every thing out of his mouth was how much this how much that; props to the koi doc though really patient and great dude
@13:20 for the mona lisa. Lol it was a scene from sherlock holmes played by bennedict cumberbatch
As a lover of all arts and animals, this sort of thing is very appealing to me. I’ll probably never have the sort of money to do stuff like this, but even owning some “cheap” koi would make me happy. I’m not one who really cares about getting specific patterns, I just want to enjoy the koi and their diversity, and I would be excited to see how big they’ll get with time
Haidar's voice just makes the entire vid more enjoyable
Beautiful and humble ✨️ ❤️ great to see he loves the fish, not just because he can afford it 😉
FYI that outdoor mall with the koi pond is Fashion Island in Newport Beach CA

Hello how are you doing?
This guy seems really cool
Wow that's so cool 😎
The koi doctor is cool
I kind of stumbled into goldfish keeping about 10 years ago and I've come to love it. I got them as baby comets and now they have grown massive over the years and had babies of their own. Twice! My male comet is 15 inches now, the big mama female just hit 12 inches. Videos of them on my channel if anyone wants to see.
He screwed with my Mic settings, very creative buddy.
"The good thing about Dubai is that construction costs are not that high" - the jokes write themselves
Thank you.
Just got back from the Henrey doorley aquarium because of you! Was awesome
