This would honestly be a good and valuable thing. In case the board ever needs repair again, the next technician will see Louis' sticker and could contact him for details on what was done. Of course it would need some reference number.
Thank you Louis for being so vocal about right to repair, it's getting so bad with electronics, not just Apple. Good luck on your non profit venture, such a cool idea!!!
My corded Logitech Trackman Wheels are 10 years old and still dead reliable. Used 3+ hours per day, home and work. Maybe the new ones are a different design. I notice that the old used ones are selling for more than the new design. I even bought an extra just in case one fails. It's still in the box. I use it to avoid the wrist pain that I get from a regular mouse.
Hi Louis, I really appreciate your patience (and like your screams 😊 when you get frustrated). this was really epic.. can you please update on the flux cleaning process.. May be a nice video on the same would make it lot better
The Logitech MX Ergo is fantastic tbh I used mine for something like 3.5 years and never had a problem with it until it up and died a few days ago I think that's a bit short for a mouse lifespan but I did use that thing like, *a lot* and *literally every day* so I might not be the average consumer lol but for when it did work it was possibly one of the best mice I've ever used (save the Corsair M65, but that's a typical mouse and not a trackball) Tho I'm trying out a new one from Elecom, the M-XPT1, but I've no idea how it'll perform but it looks awesome lol
I've been using a Logitech MX Ergo for a few years now, maybe 3, I bought it immediately when it came out. No issues so far, I think I clean it every 6 months or whenever some small debris gets in front of the sensor (very rare). Really good battery life, no connectivity issues, adjustable position, the only thing I miss is type-C charging instead of micro USB. I work in a several environment (manual PCB assembly) btw if it matters.
a mouse with high dpi settings or programmable dpi that can go high can help with using a regular mouse with limited room for it to move. mine can get up to like 12k dpi and i barely have to move for my cursor to go across 3 screens end to end
@@cpufrost Thats the one! I'm buying a new one this year because after the 8 years of cheeto hands, the contact points wore down. Still functional but with higher friction.

There really has been no good substitute for the M570. The biggest issue I had was having to replace the button for the left click with an upgraded version. Have you considered the newer model Logitech just released, the MX Ergo Plus?
Dude, get the MX ERGO. I've used a trackball for years and got to the point where I couldn't take the shitty blue ball anymore and sprung on an Ergo. I don't even notice the ball anymore unlike the cheap one where it's a constant annoyance.

@@666Tomato666 I have, and yeah, it's basically this or nothing. Logitech seems to be the only one making thumb trackballs. Everyone else does finger trackballs.
I've used my M750 to game for many years, after using the wired version, and the only issue I've had is software related. 3 different "mouse and keyboard settings" wanted to run simultaneously in the system tray causing loss of sensitivity. Cleared the outdated versions and good to go. Granted I am not transferring the appropriate amount of flux residue onto the ball, but I highly recommend it to anyone with limited mouse space. The pointer speed might have needed adjusting as well. That being said, maybe I just happened to get a really good one.
What's going to happen in New York it's not exclusive to New York. The moratorium on evictions lifts in a few days where I am, and the courts have already been lining up dates on eviction proceeding since the beginning of June. Unless there's some kind of rent relief or La put in place that prevent landlords and management companies from moving forward with evictions, I suspect that there will be a lot of people that will be evicted or homeless very soon. I've also watched the housing market crash, houses used to sit on the market for less than a day before they were sold, especially in the affordability range of 60000 to 200000. The house down the street from me has now been in the market for more than 30 days.
