What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available! - Ігри

It really is because he desired a higher position than the god of storms and seeing his siblings get higher up than him drove him into a jealous rage, befitting of his title. Unfortunately, that brought Amaterasu into hiding, and he had to repent for it, so yeah he did bring it upon himself for being jealous and greedy.

this new god reveal format is really cool, instead of the normal 4 ability show offs then some VGS quips at the end, I really like the extended tactics/build sections, I see it helping out new players (or players who don't understand the new god) quite a bit.
I kind of want Orochi now.

you guys have gotten really good with the community and teaching them how to play and learn the game witch is the best ive seen come out of any moba and the depth that you go in to is awesome in this video 10/10 keep it up this one game that I hope never die's and just continues to get bigger ive this game for a long time and your really starting to peak just make the bot a bit harder :P

+NekoJubei I think the god after Fafnir is the guardian. Being developed by Ajax, I think Tsukuyomi is the next guardian, who is Japanese.
+Noctis but Tsukiyomi is Kami of the Moon, Fafnir will likely be a Guardian while Tsuku will be a Mage-Assassin like Ao Kuang (I hope).
Well this is the first assassin since Ratatoskr... We've had two guardians since then (Khepri and Xing Tian)

While it is boring to watch a ymir stun, wall, and aoe go to waste, it is soooo satisfying to watch your blink stun be used properly and whiping out the entire enemy team. You feel like 'yeah, I did that, they couldn;'t have done that without me'. For instance, an Ares pull that gets more than two people makes you fistpump the air haha
But if your team is bad, you'll be generally just kinda managing people, then dying, and wondering why with three people focusing you, why your team wasn't engaging.

Susano is looking pretty good, I can already sense those CC combos
Won every normal and ranked matches with susanoo so far. Worth the 11k favors spent. Jungle mana buff and skill reduction = stalks your opponent until he die or run with almost unlimited teleports and dashes. Really fun in practice matches. He definitely will be my main God for a while until some other interesting gods from Japanese pantheon get release.

Nice that SMITE takes the lore into account, Susano makes more sense as an assassin since he's more of a devious character in the myths.
