Nice bike! I was stationed at Ft. Ord in Monterey, CA. 90-93. A bunch of us rode 86-93 models all over the Santa Cruz mountains all the time. I left in March 93 and by June my unit was gone to Ft. Lewis. Wolfhounds!
All the sporbikes I have owned were bought brand new. In order, 1990 250 Ninja, 1998 FZR600, 2000 R1, 2003 R1 and a 2012 R6. With that said my favorite sportbikes were the first 2 gens of the Gixxers. I would kill just to sit on a 1st gen or steal your 2nd gen here HA.
Sandpaper from wherever you prefer, I go 200 on nutty parts, on smoother ones 400, working down to wherever you like, some go 1000, this guy's gone 2000. Then use cream polish, I recommend salvol autosol.
my dad has an original 1988 GSXR 750 in storage and has been sitting for 20+ years now ive been bugging him to let me buy it off him Said he's saving it for "retirement" but I know he's bluffing and will prob junk it :(
@Jerry ya I have 13k into my RZ just in parts for the restoration. Probably worth 8k or so. I'm looking for the exact gsxr you just sold but in average to good condition. I see them in the UK for sale for like $3200. Have yet to find a deal anywhere close to me in Reno area.

I had one for a few years. '89 - '91. Fun daily bike.

This bike is legit!! I have one just like it. With the original 88 forks. I love it!!
One of the best paint schemes and year gsxr. Love it man nice bike.
Is the frame and bodywork the same as the 89 1100? They look extremely similar. I guess the swingarm is shorter though
Wild and beautiful Bike!!

Forsalegsxr750
How much did it sell for?
$7700. I was happy with that. Have been around long enough to understand you almost always sell these type of bikes at a loss.
