- What do we really think about travelling through GERMANY by motorhome? In this video we make our way from the north of Czechia and travel through Germany towards Denmark over the span of a few days. We talk about our loves and hates of this enormous country and what we think every time we visit.

ABOUT US:
Welcome! We’re Andre and Lisa. A married South African couple who has been travelling together for almost 20 years, to more than 50 countries. In 2017 we took stock of our life, made the decision to 'retire early' and gave up our professional careers and all our personal possessions in order to explore the world as full-time nomads. Over the past two years, we have been travelling through Europe with our 20-year-old Motorhome. Please subscribe to follow along and join us on our adventure! You can find our blog at www.wewillnomad.com where we post regularly about the destinations, we visit along with travel tips and what we spend on travelling.

PLEASE REMEMBER:
We make vlogs, not travel guides. We don't film everything we see or do. Our videos cannot tell every story or show every place we visit. Our videos are merely a short snippet of sometimes a week's worth of life on the road and it's intended to show our experience as full-time travelers. As we're constantly on the move it's also not always possible to take the time to research every single location. We really appreciate when people offer us advice or make suggestions for our next visit. Please don't make assumptions or be rude. To us or to each other.

Tell us what you love / hate about Germany? 🤔
Hi, lovely couple. You get the right direction. Denmark en sure come to Holland. Have a nice trip and thanks again for all the funny parts, it makes me happy.
Thanks Chris! We're definitely planning a detour via Holland in September!😎
Rain,rain,rain...😂 Nice song on start of the video. Lisa without ice cream 🎉
Yup, no ice cream = sad Lisa 😂 and we're in Denmark now. .. Ice cream is expensive here! 😬
I've always liked travelling through Germany, a nice safe country. I hope you have found locally made sauerkraut, really nice and nothing like the supermarket version in jars. Fab vid anyway. 😀😀😀👍👍👍👍
To be honest we haven't had this in Germany yet. We've had some in a German restaurant in Namibia one but not sure it's the same! We'll have to keep a look out next time... 😜
Hello Julle Twee
As usual a lovely "positive" Vid. Lisa, ek sien jy het Andre lekker "gebliksem" 🤣🤣
Guys, always look forward to your travels and love the way you are with each other.
Wish you guys a continuation of safe travels and until your next video, Totsiens.
Roy you clearly know what 'really' happened. 😁
@@WeWillNomad 🤣🤣🤣🤣👊👊🤜👊
Have fun guys. Until next time
A really enjoyable vlog again!!Come back to Greece- we've got extra sunny days and free of charge garbage bins😁We are looking forward for your next vlog!!Cheers!!
🤣🤣 There was a point where we almost made a U-turn and returned south! Don't worry, we'll come back to Greece for sure some time soon 😍 Thanks for watching and commenting!

We loved Germany for motorrhoming until we hit the south on the boarder to Austria and then it got strict with off grid etc ! Great video
Thanks! We're always skimming over Germany as it's mostly just transit but it really deserve a lot more attention. That's sort of what we realise every time. ❤️
We're catching up!! We REALLY enjoyed this one, great to see you guys enjoying van life with all its warts and realities as well as the amazing places it takes you. We often nod along with you (sitting inside to eat, water pouring off the roof....) and remind ourselves you were the first channel we found that made us subscribe and say these people are our tribe, and this is our sort of travelling! Looking forward to seeing Denmark and all the changes to Millie. Hope you're both healed and having fun (that ankle looked SORE!). All the best K & N x
Thanks guys, that really means a lot! We're glad to hear that our paths should cross somewhere along the way... 😉😍
Great video. Lisa can join us in Turkey it's lovely here in our expadition truck. 😂
🤣 Now that sounds tempting!
If you're heading south for winter and perhaps Portugal we have parking guys
Thanks Eric! We went make it to Portugal this winter but will keep that in mind for next time. Please send us a message on Instagram, Facebook or email so we can get in touch. 😊
Great video really like all your videos, but what is wrong with cash? There are many benefits with cash. Cash is total freedom.
Freedom from what? Guess it's a matter of perspective. 😁 When you travel, cash is expensive, inconvenient and unhygienic. It also opens the door for scammers and ripoff artists. Then there's the small matter of tax evasion and criminal abuse. Tradeoffs.. 😉
Beautiful Praag Folks..👍👍🍷🍷
Great blog really enjoyed as ever… loving the lights heartens was and fun elements! Wet lush amd green Geemany💦🚌💦 at least it’s quite van/motor home friendly. And oh Lisa… from another chocoholic to another … mangia
… che ti fai grande! Hehe never … but I eat good and dark chocolate so full of antioxidants and nutrients 🤩💃🏿💃🏿🍫🍫🍫🍫
🤣🤣🤣 That's exactly what I tell myself, so long as it's good quality dark chocolate it has to be good right! It's very interesting to see which countries trend towards this vs the really sweet stuff (which really isn't chocolate at all). 🍫😍 Thanks for watching as always!

What a great video. Sorry to hear about your stumble Andre, hope the ankle (and your dignity!) recovers soon. Germany is funny like that, everything works but man do they love rules. I used to work with an English guy in Munich, he had a small Fiat runaround car that he never bothered locking. Keep in mind that every other car on the road was an expensive German Merc, Audi, BMW etc. so there was little chance of his tiny old Fiat getting robbed. Anyhow, one morning the police knocked on his door and gave him a ticket for not locking the car. Cos those were the rules. I would have thought by now that shops would open on a Sunday, crazy. Virgin Megastore eventually left Germany because of the un-flexible labour laws. I thought it was funny how you piggybacked on the WIFI of that bus on the motorway. Safe travels.
🤣 Only in Germany! In some of the bigger cities some shops are open on Sundays but in general it's really unbelievable how closed everything is. Terribly frustrating when you forget and want to buy something but also in a way great to see so many people out and about in nature enjoying the with friends and family so it's not all bad!
Andre's ankle is slowly recovering, his dignity... hard to say! 😜
Thanks for watching Ronan! 😊
watch out (especially in Germany )for the arm 24:23 :) :)
😋haha now that's an interesting observation! I would say it's more a 'sending away' gesture. Have you ever seen the Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode?
Cash is king, the world will collapse without it ❤
You have to explain it to me. If you don't trust the monetary system, shouldn't you then rather barter in gold - or potatoes? Cash issued by government holds no more value than the same currency used in an electronic manner. When cash is preferred it's either for tax avoidance or because of transaction cost. Once the latter is addressed what other reason is there to prefer cash?
@@WeWillNomadagree. We travelled through Germany on our way to Serbia and in a not very small town we had to look for an ATM to be able to pay in the restaurant. Not the first time this has happened.
Can Lisa Drive 🤔😎
Yes of course! But I have a lot more experience driving a large vehicle and we also come from a right hand drive country, so she prefers not to drive unless absolutely necessary.
👍
Yeah, Jagodina is much much better.
🤣🤣🤣 We have to agree!! 😜
Andre get Lisa some rubber gloves.
Adam I like the way you think. 😂
I think it's good they only want cash.
Keep cash alive!

Nice, 3 weeks and we are there also and slowly heading to south... portugal and back maybe in spring sometimes! Adventure begins! Same kind of feelings for Germany, somehow France is even better I think, but we all like different things so!
If we have to choose between Germany and France, it's France hands down! We never really 'plan' on travelling Germany, it's always a transit country but it deserves much more attention.
