No, it’s not normal. Here in the Netherlands it’s only stormy, rainy the last couple of weeks and the forcast isn’t much better unfortunately. When I look to Europe in it’s whole it’s the same weather almost everywhere. Except Spain and Portugal.
Hey guys! Absolutely loved this film - this is what living in a van is like, you have to adjust constantly to allow for weather, business, parkups, shopping, laundry, water etc etc and you show it perfectly here! We're still constantly adjusting our plans in Ireland too, on a daily basis - it's all part of the adventure 😀🚐
Thank you! ♥ Aah, the idea of full-time travel (whatever mode you choose) is often romanticized beyond everyday realities. A big part of this life is constant uncertainty, unfamiliarity and a lack of routine. That's what we mostly love and also sometimes hate. 🙃As you say, it's part of the adventure. In the end it's just life - just slightly different. Safe travels! ♥
You guys managed to keep your cheerful spirits even in the midst of dreadful weather. Kudos to both of you for that! I can't wait to see your next video from Spain!
Always so much to enjoy in your videos. Here's me taking notes, i.e. adding places to my travel Google Earth file. Love it. And you always make me laugh out loud. Like with the "not the cutlery drawer" thing, hehe. We've also had a few notable incidents with drawers :-) The weather's really been awful, and it's not normal at all. Floodings in the north of France and the west of Flanders, and as I write this... it's raining. Looking forward to your Pyrenees video! And oh, yes, Camping Car Park to the rescue! Gotta love them for that.
Thank you! On our first 'border crossing' 3 years ago from Italy to France the police wanted to see inside and literally 30 seconds before we stopped the cutlery drawer came out. The guy poked his head in the door, looked at the chaos and changed his mind on coming in. He found it very amusing. 😋 Since then we're always paranoid about the fridge and that drawer.
Unfortunately Rain again 😪 But Some Beautiful Towns 😍 And the Roads Less Travelled 😊 Andre your food looks Mouthwatering 👌 Stay Free and Safe Travels 😀 🙏 ✨
During the summer they do bungee jumping at isle- Jourdain from the old railway viaduct you were standing on at the start. it's 47 meters to the River I think.
Hello, j'habite à côté d'Agen, vous êtes passés à 5 kms de chez moi. On s'est peut-être croisés sur la route. Lisa, la baguette ne suffit pas, il faut le béret.
The past few weeks have been a bit chilly (also in Spain 😢) and honestly I can't recall that from last year (maybe my happy-brain has just forgotten?) Even though this episode was almost all rain it was soooo liberating to see REAL RV living, because there ARE periods like that with NO glamour 😉 It would be so cool to meet up with you guys when you reach Andalucia. You have the exact same vibe as us, taking things as they come, laugh a lot, enjoy small unknown places etc 🤩 So maybe, if you're up for it? We have a ton of recomendations in Spain 👌
Thanks for the comment! ❤️ For sure, we're always keen to meet fellow travellers! Please send us an email if you can or reach out on Instagram then we can stay in touch.
Welcome to our channel! A friend of us from Cape Town moved to Denver recently and he found the winter temperature there to be quite an adjustment! We haven't been to Colorado yet but would love to. All the best!
Your vlogs bring me so much memories. We always spent our vacations in France, bc of the beautiful sites and entourage in the small villages. Unfortunately you skipped the Loire area and dolmen due to the harsh wetter. But the Pyrenees moutains will be very beautiful and also Spain. I remember Andorra as such a weird place, cramped between the moutains. Have fun👍👍
Thank you! 😎 Last year we had a few weeks up the Loire heading north. Would have loved to see dolmen and more of Brittany but alas. We just keep finding beautiful places and we can probably spend years in France and still not see everything.
We thought about it but the weather looked better on the med side. 😎😋We're planning to go up the Portuguese coast next year after returning from Morocco.
In the really small, rural villages some people commute for work and schools and during the day it's quiet. In the larger towns the old centers are quiet during the lunchbreak and everything closes for a few hours. In Spain it's even worse but the towns do come alive at a certain time of the day.
Hi guys, I love the video luckily we are in Spain so missed the rain and the winds. How do you do pizza in a pain I have never tried it but would love to know. Hope the weather is better for you now you are in Spain.
Hello guys ✌ A question came to mind, can you charge the batteries of two bicycles with solar electricity and an additional power plant? Really nice videos, which I myself will visit in my small touring car, possibly in the winter of 2024. Cheers.
Thanks for your comment! In summer it's quite easy to keep our bicycle batteries charged with solar. As the bike batteries require AC (240V) we charge it via our Ecoflow and every battery needs about 7 hours at 120W per hour. That's a lot and much harder in winter. We're making some changes to our system and in a few weeks, we'll put out a video on it. See you on the road!
@@WeWillNomad What size Ecoflo do you have? I now have one 500W Bresser, which I have now used in my apartment for basic use during the day for work on UA-cam and Photoshop, etc. I will probably buy another similar battery.
@@tripmood365 We have the Ecoflow RIver 2 Pro. It's barely catering to our needs and we would love a Delta. But we also use the bicycle batteries as extra storage and feed it back into the Ecoflow if we are really desperate. The RIver 2 Pro has been pretty good so far.
Hey André & Lisa, yes the weather can be tricky sometimes. It’s good if you can avoid it or travel on to better weather. I understand the feeling we are only moving that’s tiring but it is what it is. I will never look at a video of you two again before I ate something 😂 André what an incredible and variety of meals you’re making 👍 they look delicious 🤤. See you next time in no not Spain but Andorra 🇲🇩 😜 groetjes 👋
I am sure you have your reasons you planned such a long trip (the whole trip) this way but not knowing all your reasons it looks to me your plan is a bit backwards (no offence intended at all). You started down south at the beginning of summer sweating heavily through most of the summer and ended up in north when the weather is worst and no sun. I saw your beginning of this year when you had to pick up Milie from Italy to start your tour. But if you could have started in opposite direction it would be much better for you I think. It doesn't matter for us viewers watching your great videos from the comfort of lounge chair or from the computer chair. If you are not a camper traveler it would be probably easier for you but also probably more expensive (accomodation and all), but all the same fun for us viewers. Was it too expensive to put your camper on the train and start this year tour from the north? Autumn and winter is milder down south and probably more sun too. Aldough with this climate change you cannot know anything any more for sure. Regarding this video it is so good when you drop in these small infos which may look unimportant but actually very useful. Like fuel prices and those two best priced petrol suppliers (E.Leclerc and Intermarche). You suffer a bad weather yet still manage to squeeze out some useful info from your trip and still some beautiful shots and video clips. Thanks for suffering for us.
😋 I don't think we 'planned' it to be backwards, it just didn't quite work out the way we wanted it to. We were supposed to be in the Balkans for spring and Denmark for July and August. But we we're just too late heading north. We figured if we spend September and October getting closer to Spain it would still be fine but the weather is just so unpredictable. It does feel a bit like we're a bit 'behind' the best season every time! 😋 Thank you for your compliments on our videos. We really appreciate it. ❤
Are we just super unlucky or is this weather normal for this time of the year? 🤔
No, it’s not normal. Here in the Netherlands it’s only stormy, rainy the last couple of weeks and the forcast isn’t much better unfortunately. When I look to Europe in it’s whole it’s the same weather almost everywhere. Except Spain and Portugal.

Thank you! The good news is, we're seeing a lot more sun in the last few days! ☀
Well done driving through that heavy rain Andre. Really enjoyed your adventures in France. Next stop Espania.
Thank you! You'll be glad to hear that we've had some sunny skies in Spain! 🇪🇸😊

We saw the signs at the booth below the bridge! Lots of adventure activities around that bridge. Not sure if I'll convince Lisa to bungee with me... 😂

All that rain, just like summer in the UK. I've put that last stop on the list to visit, it looked great. A top class vid anyway 😀
Thanks 👍We just keep finding beautiful places and we can easily spend years in France and still not come close to see everything.
Great vid as always guys 😀👍🇬🇧❤
Thank you so much 😀
Just subscribed. I'm live in denver co. But born in Northampton uk been in USA since 86

😋 definitely not the UK! We're in Spain now and it's still cold but at least drier.!

Northern France and the uk and the north in general is just depressing this time of the year
So that one week of sunshine in October was just to fool us then! 😂 Thanks for watching! 😊

Aah.. we'll have to make a video on the pan pizza! 😅♥ Like we need any excuse!
Yes, please do a pizza video and some other dishes. Safe travels.

Bad that rain maty , need to sort the white bit on backside of Millie , Morroco job ?
