  • A beautiful, sunny, cold day for the first walk of 2024! Marsham Heath Nature Reserve is a biological Site of Special Scientific interest not far out from Norwich and can be enjoyed all year through. We've visited a few times at different times in the year and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. Today's visit was absolutely stunning due to the glorious sunshine and bright blue sky. We didn't see much wildlife apart from Buzzards, blackbirds and robins but we know that the heath especially, is home to an abundance of wildlife. I said on the video that a map would be handy as there are a few different pathways that can be explored - I have since discovered that the internet does have maps that show the area around Marsham, Buxton and Cawston in good detail, so if you're visiting for the first time, maps are available. As I said, there are no car parks but there are several parking spots along the road.
I really hope you have enjoyed watching this video. Please do give me a thumbs up, drop me a comment or question and subscribe - all of which would be very much appreciated. Please do check out my other walks in and around Norfolk and Suffolk - not forgetting our holiday adventures in the UK.
    Thanks for watching, Jenny x

Looked and sounded a lovely fresh day Jenny. I agree I like them irregular woods too. Some nature about but generally just great to be amid the heathland. I checked it out on google - it looks bigger on the ground. Well, good going as always. All the best. Mark

Morning Mark, yes, it really was lovely to be out on such a glorious, sunny day! I really love a fresh walk when the sun is shining! Yes, the three heaths combined cover a good area and all free to roam. We're yet to find a route that we can do where we touch on all three areas. It'll not be long before the heaths are buzzing with life! Have a great week - take care Jenny.

    Really lovely walk.
Great to have the first walk of the year.
    Very well put together.👏👏
    What a beautiful day.
The sun looked incredible, beautiful sky and lush green around you.
The yellow flowers look so nice with the sun on them.
I love walking through a forest.
Even a bit of singing in there from you both.
    Nice watch.
    Well done.
Hopefully we'll have many more days like that this year.👍👋

Glad you enjoyed it! It truly was a gorgeous day!
I love walks where there's a mixture of woodlands and heathland, and lucky for us, we have three of these heaths only 20 minutes away.
Hahaha, yep, a little bit of singing - blame it on the sunny vibes!
      Thanks again!
      Jenny 😁

It really is. There's three heaths that all link together and lucky for us they're only 20mins away. Thanks for your comment and for the Sub. Very much appreciated. Jenny 😊
