Another OCD method: I applied pressure to both sideskirts at once by using the wall in my garage and another vehicle on the driverside parked about 3 ft away. I placed a 10 ft 2x6 edgewise against the front and back tires (of the vehicle I parked next to my SS) and then custom cut (four) 2x4's to apply pressure to the sideskirt by lightly tapping them in place against three 2ft 1x2's. I placed a microfiber towel between the 1x2 and the sideskirt. (the 2x4 is wedged into the 2x6 at the floor similar to what you did at 6:53 ) This applied pressure down the entire length of the sideskirt. Did the same on the passenger side using the garage wall. Left overnight in closed garage (this was during July) PERFECT adhesion and fitment.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, I had considered similar ways to maintain pressure for an extended period but was pleasantly surprised that heating the tape and applying pressure for a short time "manually" did the trick. Three years later, still no screws being used, and they're as solid as the day I put them on in this video!

Hey there. Did you need to add screws or rivets? About to start installing my EOS carbon side skirts though mine is one a 2017 camaro

Hi there, and thanks for the question. My install used tape only and it is still that way so far. I have -heard- that there were fitment issues of the EOS side skirts on cars 2018 and back, but I don't know if that was due to the installer, the product, the car, or some combination. Test fit yours before you add any tape to get a good sense of what you're facing and consider adding the screws as well - I didn't install them [yet] because I'm not yet sure if I'm going to remove them to paint them or not!

Just received mine. So you decided to not drill into the side?

You are correct. Mine are installed with tape only at this point. One of the things that I may do, and part of why I did it this way, is I may end up taking them off to paint them.

I decided to install mines, when went ahead and drill the holes in my car :( but it looks cleaner using a rivet gun. I tried your first method and didn’t have much luck with just 3M tape.

The tape-only install is definitely not the recommended way of doing it as there are plenty of opportunities for things to not go perfectly right. It sounds like you've got yours installed and they look good, though? If so, great job!

Hot Camaro I went ahead and did it myself! You were dead on with the tape by yourself. I went ahead and did it myself. Lol. Unfortunately I dont have a channel to show.

Did you put the screws in or just the tape ?

Thanks for the question - No screws. And, it turns out, that may have been one of the best decisions I've made in a while as the skirts will be coming off (as will everything else...). Stay tuned for more info!!! (it's not a bad thing)

I have watched your EOS side skirt installation video a couple time in order to take notes, VERY good detailed videos! EOS should pay you for it since they have crappy instructions.
One question tho, what size screw or what screws would you use? I read a response of yours to someone else stating that you didn’t use screws and you might do so later, I’m definitely going to use screws but have no idea which ones to use... help?
    Thank in advance!!

Thanks for the comment and the kind words. Screws are included in the kit, but I believe that they are NOT stainless. While you generally won't see any of the screws if you use them, you -may- want to take one to a hardware store and ask for the same screw in a stainless steel version so that they don't rust out. If you haven't already, please subscribe!

They've held up just fine without screws for me, but I was extremely careful about the application to get a solid adhesion everywhere. I've even drive the car in very cold weather and saw no ill effects.

Next time go onto to Amazon and buy adhesion promoter apply it instead of alcohol wipe down and you won't ever need screws

      Thanks for the comment!
Adhesion promoter is not at all required here. Physical abrasion with the alcohol wipe down completely replaces the need for adhesion promoter and can be done with very inexpensive items already in the home. Further adhesion promoters can be caustic, can cause damage when used incorrectly, and serve no other purpose (isopropyl alcohol has a lot of household uses).
My side skirts have been installed for three years with zero issue, and there are no screws in place either.
