VICTORIA'S VICTORIOUS VOCAL EXERCISE PROGRAM - a different kind of singing program! SUPER AFFORDABLE! MORE INFO & ORDER HERE: www.healthyvocaltechnique.com/order-victorias-victorious-vocal-exercise-program/
I've had voice issues for a long time now. I watched this before church this morning and halfway through a congregational song I remembered your feet plant and hand motion advice. Although I was very subtle about it it sure helped my strength. Thank you.
I've been professionally singing for 8 years. I have been weight lifting for 10 years. When I'm not lifting, I notice a difference in my vocal power. Weight lifting, massages and yoga are the holy trinity for me in terms of body care for my voice! Would love to know your thoughts on this Victoria. Love your work so much xx
Yoga is great for singing. Massage, I'm sure, helps you get rid of excess tension, so it helps your singing too. As far as the weight lifting, please be careful that you don't grunt and squeeze because that is very unhealthy for the vocal folds.
Love your videos! I learned that a full powerful voice comes from good technique. If you increase the volume you increase the air to your vocal chords!
Depending on the sound you want, singing louder may take more lung volume and breath support, but never to the degree of blasting. That's why I focus on intensity first.
Thanks for this, Victoria. I’m coming at this from the other side - I have a naturally big voice, but tended to be shouty. Focusing on resonance and ring has helped a lot with being able to sing longer and with less/no fatigue
Hello Mrs. Victoria. I sing in my church choir. I developed a serious polyp on my vocal cord and had surgery at Duke University Hospital by Dr. Cohen. He is an amazingly gifted surgeon. He and God gave me my voice back. But sometimes, it feels as if I am almost swallowing the sound of my voice. I'm also nervous that I'll over sing and jeopardize my voice again. I'm so excited that I discovered your channel. Thank you for sharing your own personal story. It is inspiring. I am looking forward to the vast knowledge you have for singing and teaching! I've enjoyed what I have learned so much already!
Hello Victoria! I just wanted to say to you that you are by far a most excellent teacher, you explain very clearly and are fun to watch. As a amateur singer, I have learned valuable lessons from you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! (I like to sing Mariachi music, requires strength and stamina).
I can’t believe how versatile your voice is! Great definition thanks totally enjoy this. 64 and finally have some awesome vocal lessons. Wish I thought of this 40 years ago. There’s definitely more to it than meets the eye. Thank you your a great singer!
I have a song that I wrote that I am trying to record, but I have a soft voice and I’m trying to sing like a powerhouse and it’s not working. The songs vibe needs a powerhouse voice and I don’t have that. :(

Start with my Beginners Playlist. Then continue working on the principles of singing - inhalation, phonation & resonation. I have plenty of videos to keep you busy for years!
Nasality is caused when the soft palate is too low, which then causes the nasal port to open. Try singing with a little bit of yawn - the beginning of a yawn (not full-blown yawn). I will make a video on nasality.
when i breathe i feel like my throat is squeezing and it hurts, my jaw also tight when i push it forward when I breath also pulling out my abdominal muscles is my issue..... I've adapted to pull out my abdominal muscles even im not breathing
Ah, it sounds like you need to do more non-singing exercises like simple inhale/exhale, hissing, etc. I have lots of those exercises in my playlist on breathing and breath support. ua-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDCQDneLVxvJRkJp_Omj_vbp.html For the tight throat and jaw, see this playlist: Throat, Tongue, Jaw & Neck Tension in Singing - Free up Your Voice! ua-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDDDSGygoVWRk_IfZeFI71aj.html

I am totally with you Victoria. For me, singing piano is much harder than singing forte.
Sure - a much more difficult challenge for most singers. You probably saw my video on quiet singing. I will make another one soon.

YOU BET! And singing big on resonance sounds a heck of a lot better than shoving and pushing the voice!

What to do if you want to master your vocals... Is it studying notes in your key 🔑?
Start with my Beginners Playlist. Then continue working on the principles of singing - inhalation, phonation & resonation. I have plenty of videos to keep you busy for years!

Great detailed videos! But I have a question; what do we need to work on if we are told we sound nasal and tight vs loose and flowing? Thank you!

@@Victoria-Victorious yes Ma'am. You can also do it by saying the letter "K" but backwards.
heyy victoria i wanted to know if your course involved vibrato exercises !!?
Hi Curlyheadxam! No, it does not include specific vibrato exercises at this time, BUT I will most likely add some.
