Massive props to Cornell. Vocally this is one of the toughest songs on superunkown

It's like as if it's not high enough already they modulate up a half step at the end lol. That always kills me.
Multi-faceted multi-talented multi-the man- but he had his demons. I can't listen to any sound garden song now without wishing for just 5mins with Chris to tell him how much he meant to all of us. Him & Layne Staley- I'd say Kurt too but he was killed. These 3 guys had the best voices of the genre, although I really only consider Nirvana & a few other bands to be actual grunge- the others are just hard rock. Soundgarten is not grunge & I'll argue till im blue in the face over it lol- that's like saying Helmet is grunge- its not. They're just shy of being a Hardcore band so I say hard rock 🎸 thanks for listening & agreeing 100% w/me
Had to go back and watch this, was there that night, was amazing, RIP Chris.
Omg that last few bars when his voice just exploded! It seemed to surprise him and then he realized he pushed it a little too far. But then he was like "Oh wow what is this amazing sound coming from me?" and then he just kept it teetering on the edge of disaster like the gd musical and artistic genius he was! RIP sweet prince.
So glad I got to be there for this.
I came out partially deaf with the feedback at the end of the gig. lol

Oh man, would have loved to have seen this live, been trying to sing this motherfucker since I was like 13 and it blew me away on the first album I ever went out and bought.
Nice story. Me and an old friend use to try to hit the notes he hits on Superunknown record. Your comment had bring me so much nice memories. We used to try so many stupid trick to see if we can hit his high notes, never worked.

Chris cornell wasn't just a great singer. I think his guitar playing/rhythm playing was very underrated.
I was at this concert last year!! And it was amazing, since limo wreck is my favourite soundgarden song i went nuts when they started playing it
