@2:10 Thank you so much for showing how to remove that lock. I also need to remove it, since I plan to replace the door on the Front DS of our 2009 Nissan Sentra. Our car has a key lock only on the front DS. I think it would be so much better to have the same Key Lock on the Front PS, but I don't know if a new lock can be set for the same key we have. I would appreciate any opinion on this matter. Thank you for this film again, it is the only one on YT about the Door replacement.
@Auto Repair Guys Thank you guys so much for this extremely helpful video. I undid the two 13mm bolts from the door (working solo) and was wracking my brain trying to reattach the door to the hinges. I have not been so frustrated in my life. Came across this video, you guys are a lifesaver. Taught me an amazing trick, and the nice thing about this is shouldn't have any issues with having to realign the door either.
I need to do this to change door hinge on my Astra J GTC. Unfortunately one of them is worn out from all of the door closing and opening, so I need to change it, but that third bolt is giving me a lot of problems, it's unreachable if you don't remove a whole door.
I just watched another video from you guys replacing a door and you didn’t take off the handle. So do I need to take off the handle or not? Or are you just taking it off because you want to reuse the handle?
When I put a replacement door on, my car electronics now do not work, so I feel like there is another step after the replacement. The car starts, but everything including the Sync screen and speedometer is dead. Can you shed any light on this? Do I need to do a factory reset or connect a OBD tool? I have a 2016 Ford Escape. Thanks!
They removed the core lock cylinder to be put into the new door. You know, so the key that fit original door and rest of remaining doors will fit the replacement door as well... You of course dont "need to do so", but it makes things convenient if you do...
How do you replace a door without first removing the original door??? They are one and the same of the process needed to replace a door.... Then any person with IQ above that of a pet rock can follow the steps in reverse to place new door onto the vehicle.
I like how Russians explain stuff excellently without any nonsense. Straight to the point in exact order it is needed to be done.
SLAV Power! 💪

Awesome. Thanks guys. Now I know what to do at the wreckers
Thank you for this video! Excellent, straight forward, and quick! Oh yes, safety issues too!
A B-12 Chemtool piston soak will reduce the oil burning down to around a quart every 1500 miles for most 2AZ engines. It sure beats having to do this!
Great video thanks. When you put on the new door, do you have to allign or does it fit directly well?
If it is exact door for same model and year vehicle there shouldnt be any sort of issue swapping the door out...
That was a helpful video thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍
True, we don't care about the life story of the creator.

Nice. How much would a whole door like that cost at a junk yard if a single window cost $50? Trying to save money on dented door panel repair.
I’ve just bought a Mercedes A150 door for €150, including the glass, interior lining etc. So shouldn’t be too expensive
Probably too late now but I'm getting 2 doors and windows from a junkyard for $350 so very much worth it to me. Anywhere else was $400+ for just 1
900 and add on painting also
Thanks, clearly explained!
Great Video as usual..
do you have to do any reprogramming with the keys and locks if you're putting on new doors but using your old cylinder locks?
No
Is this basically the same process for most cars?
You left out the part where you remove the window regulator, the mirror, the internals of the door and the plastic trims including the speaker.
If the other door is a perfect match of the one you just took off, it should be fine, no?
it says “how to replace a door,” not “how to replace door components.”
He's replacing the entire door so the replacement door will have all the components. It's no need to take those out
Only if you go to kwik fit
Most doors you buy is only metal and you have to reuse allt of that.
This was really helpful
Thanks. This was very helpful
Thx
guys thanks guys
I am going to attempt with my Nissan pixo. Someone drove into it
How did you go chap, did you get the job done??
Thx guys great work

They took off the locking mechanism. Since the key they have there is meant for that exact piece they took off. They will swap that to the new door.

Did you figure out your issue?
Yes. You have to do a battery reset procedure.

AWESOME..!
Do we need to change the key fob?

Why do you remove of door cylinder sr?
So your existing key will work
How about the door lining ?
Why did you take out the key lock cylinder?
To put it in the new door so it will use the same key as the old door.
This should be tittle ‘how to remove door’

Getting famous off of comments day 235, so I can live the dream, live every day like it’s your last🤙🤙🚀
wow
That wasn't a replacement only a removal of the door. Your title is missleading.
Play it in reverse like a Led Zep song and it is them installing the door… 🙌
