- Hello everyone,
I was kindly asked to test out this heated vest from iHood. I couldn't fault it, worked well and kept me warm in minus conditions. I'll continue to test the vest over the winter.

By far the BEST review I've seen of this vest.. Most just unbox and that's it.. Thank you for actually using it.. I recieved one for Christmas sooo I'm anxious to try it out. Thanks again

Yeah a heated sleeping bag would be a winner, especially if it came with a heated inflatable pillow.
@@Adventure-Outdoors aye. As you say, it's the heating element which is important not all the bells and whistles. In theory you could take a cheapish 2 or 3 season bag and turn it into a 4 season one with the heating element. The cushion would be amazing!

Hi I have a old sheepskin flying jacket weights a ton but so warm 👍🏴
I just bought one of those from a different company for a football game ( American , not soccer ! ) that was going to go into late evening , the temperature was just below freezing the entire game , it really worked great . I do think in cold temps they work better under a jacket to keep the heat in. Mine lasted 3 1/2 hours on high , but I got a spare battery for it for longer use if I needed it.
Hi mate, yeah they definitely work better under a layer. I always though they were a bit of a gimmick but I was impressed with how warm it kept me. 👍

A sleeping bag version - now that would be superb.
Give it a few years and when asked what you've got in your pockets the answer will be shed loads of batteries!

I reckon they are good if you are sitting about. Any activity generates body heat.
I like the idea that it might be usefull if it can be double as an electric blanket.
Indeed Graham, perfect for sitting around. I usually sit out with my mates chugging beers when we're out camping and I reckon it'll be perfect for that scenario 👍.

Hi, I am disabled and metal detect with my wife and go out walking, well powerchairing and I need as much warm clothing as possible, I have seen these jackets reviewed recently on several videos and I would very much like to get hold of one here in the UK. My wife and myself have been searching on the internet for anywhere in the UK that can supply me with one, but so far we can't find anywhere. Because I am stuck in an electric powerchair because I am disabled, I can't move about like normal able bodied people to generate body heat and this makes it very difficult to spend extended periods of time outdoors doing what we enjoy. Please can you help us to get hold of the other type of jacket with removable hood that iHood have in their range in large or XL not sure which tbh, it would very very much appreciated.
Hi mate, not sure I can help as I just reviewed the vest for the manufacturer. You are more than welcome to have the vest I reviewed in the video, I haven’t worn it since and it’s just hanging in my wardrobe. I’ve just checked and the battery isn’t there but it will work with any battery pack with a USB outlet. Although I may be able to find the battery, it’ll be around somewhere. @@Adventure-Outdoors Hi, and thanks for answering me and the incredibly kind offer. If you could have a look when you have time for the battery as I am not sure about matching the output up correctly to the vest and it also has the digital display on it. I could probably wear something loose over the top to keep my arms warm and just use it to heat my body up, I would have to experiment. I will send you my details and fingers crossed you can find the battery.
My thoughts on it are that it would make a great investment for people donating to foodbanks and mutual aid, give every pensioner and other poor folk one of these so they can survive this murderous Tory winter.
