Way to be a man of your word. You could tell you really didn't want to do that. Something about that exact moment that you have to force yourself to flip it. And way to go getting back in. Awesome video man.
I've practiced falling out a few times, I've always come across sideways at the front and then kicked my feet across and then rolled my body it worked fine I guess I need to try it the way you did to see what works better for me. I tried 1 time trying to simulate a more panicked situation and I got so much water in that I had to swim it to shore like you in the end. Very informative. Glad I'm subbed because I never actually look into stuff like this. Had you not done this I would have continued trying to just learn myself 👍🏾
@@AnglingSpiders oh it definitely worked good. That's why I say I have to try it that way because I've only done it the way I found myself but may be better your way
That was cool and really well done. I think with the amount of people on the water with kayaks this sort of thing should be really helpful. Like getting back in which I did not know. Lets hope plenty of kayaker's see this one. Take care boys. Shaun UK.
🤣😂 you didn't want to do it sooo bad you went again! Marvelous video!!! This was very informative and entertaining. I have never rolled over my Kayak but with my luck... it's almost certain to happen at some point. I should go out and test the limits on my Kayak like that while the water is warm and I can download my gear first.
I dont think most people realize how much work it would be to get back into your yak.....gotta think about the rough waters as well. I actually want to try this as well. Rather have a test go then a real bad situation hahah. Good video!
@SaskFisher my local kayaking group does it a few times as a group. I haven't been as they usually do it in the winter. Test out their wet/dry suits at the same time.
Haha wow your comment section loved this one! I never knew about the entry from the front of the kayak, that's really useful information to share I learned something!!
That was a clean reentry. People who kayak, especially in bodies of water deeper than where they can stand up, really need to try it once or twice with their rig.
Lol this was really entertaining! The fact that you had to try pretty hard to flip it is a testament to the kayaks stability! And you did it one more time just for kicks 😂
Good job brother, you got back in easy👍. Dry bag 👍 appreciate the vid. Gotta try the gettin back in thing myself. Flipped a couple times but usually in a creek😁✌
Great job with the video! Was very informative. I'm sorry but couldn't stop laughing on re-entry lol. I'm sure I would do no better :) I always worried about tipping a kayak. Great to see someone do it on purpose for illustrative purposes. The dry bags look like a must have.
Nice try flipping and getting back on it. Glad you made it back on the kayak though not on the 2nd try. I bet it is a hardwork trying to lift the weight from the water. Good video!
Didn’t want to do it but see you flips out kayak twice lol great demonstration I’m was shocked when you said you was going to the nose of the boat to get bck in but it makes sense then trying to get bck in from the side , so what’s the next big goal & promise once you hit it 😂
That was great to see, not because I wanted to see you get wet but because I have a couple of these boats and was really curious about what would happen. Super surprised to see how little water got in the kayak. Great re-entry on that first one. What do you use for a bailing bucket?
Thanks for the comment, my wife bought us a boat safety kit from Canadian Tire that comes with a bailing bucket. Maybe I will review in a future video.
I would like to see that review. I believe the reason I like your vids so much is that you strike a perfect balance between informative content and entertainment. Keep up the good work!!
It surprises me that you haven't tried re-entry before this. I always try that first thing until I figure it out. Solid video. Can I ask why you renter a sit-inside from the bow vs the sides like a sit-on-top?
The problem with a sit in is water. If you try from the side there is a much greater chance of getting water into the cockpit. The kayak is way more stable from bow to stern so if you can get up on to the bow there is less chance of swamping the interior.
Such a nice place sir 👍 Well I never tried hopping in on a kayak but surely having sitting there and suddenly flipped? Can't imagine what fears will strike me 😅 though i know how to swim but what if your feet will stuck there? haha
Good demonstration. GreAt that you could get back in on 1st try. Impressed
Thanks, never expected to get in that's for sure.
hello fishermen !! it is very good to fish !! greetings here from BRAZIL !!
Hello 👋Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our video.
Way to be a man of your word. You could tell you really didn't want to do that. Something about that exact moment that you have to force yourself to flip it. And way to go getting back in. Awesome video man.
I appreciate that, if you say you will do it (especially to your subs) you gotta get it done, lol. Thanks for the comment
Very well done and probably a great idea you got it done in a controlled setting so you can know your limitations. Nicely done and congrats again!👍🏻
Yes, very important to test it out. Now I need Kieran to do it.
That's awesome. A man of his word. Nicely done.
Thanks, had to do it!
@@AnglingSpiders yeah but not twice. Haha nice job getting back into it. That's got to be tough but should be practiced probably.
That’s handy information! Thanks for taking the plunge to show us how it’s done.
Glad it was helpful! Worth doing to know what might happen
One of my fears of kayaking is if the boat will be easily flipped. After seeing you had to really intentionally flip it sets my mind at ease.
They are pretty stable, but not as much as sit on tops.
I've practiced falling out a few times, I've always come across sideways at the front and then kicked my feet across and then rolled my body it worked fine I guess I need to try it the way you did to see what works better for me. We might need to try some other ways, but it worked out pretty good.
@@AnglingSpiders oh it definitely worked good. That's why I say I have to try it that way because I've only done it the way I found myself but may be better your way
Awesome and congrats once again on the 1,000 Subs & 4,000 hours.
Thank you very much!
Well done Sean!!! I was really impressed you got back in👊 (understandable not 2x) nice that the dry bags worked, great test with the toilet paper!!!
Thanks, I think I could have managed the second attempt if I had used the bailing bucket. Might try that next week to test it out.
That was cool and really well done. I think with the amount of people on the water with kayaks this sort of thing should be really helpful. Like getting back in which I did not know. Lets hope plenty of kayaker's see this one. Take care boys. Shaun UK.
Thanks Shaun, it is something we said we would do, but also something important to test so we know what to expect. Hopefully it helps someone else.
Nice to see how to get back in. If something goes bad, you gave us some education on how to get back in easier. I hope it was a warm day....
It was a very warm day. The swim actually felt really good.
🤣😂 you didn't want to do it sooo bad you went again! Marvelous video!!! This was very informative and entertaining. Thanks, sounds like you should enter a sit on top from the side, but the bow is better for sit ins so that no water gets in the cockpit
Loved it! And great to show everyone the tips while at it! Nailes it Shaun!
Glad you enjoyed it, appreciate the comment
You flipped your kayak😁 and were able to climb back up again successfully. Good job , you're man of your words👍
Thanks very much, and thanks for watching
You made reenter look easy. Great job
Thanks 👍I tried to do my best. Might try it again to see if I can duplicate it.
Thanks for doing that , I’m new to kayak fishing and it gives me more confidence seeing you do this ..
No problem, highly recommend trying this so that you know what to expect

Absolutely, I am going to have Kieran practice this as well.
Wow amazing 😍 thank you for sharing dear big like ♥️♥️🌸🌸

Glad you enjoyed it! Yep, had to give it another try
Wow!! Well done!!! Great demonstration

Awesome job my Friend thanks for sharing 👍🙂 tight line 🎣

Too funny! And at least you know it's real stable.
Yep, better than we thought it would be.
Excellent demo and very useful as a safety video as well. Thanks Sean {You da man}
Glad you liked it and thanks, it is good to know what would happen.
I remember learning to Kayak with spray skirts on, strapped in and having to learn the Eskimo roll.
This was my first, we never had to do that in school
Very good video. Impressive getting back in kayak.👊
Thanks 👍Really appreciate it.
good night brother, wow the boot is upside down, your heart is a lot
Thanks
That was actually pretty graceful. Well done!
Thanks, appreciate it.
Overstated importance of a pfd, nice job
Yep, we never go out without them
So impressive video of you, really like it, thanks for sharing

Thanks and yes, it was good to see that I could do it.

Definitely worth the practice. Thanks for the comment.
Nice video! Glad to see it takes a lot to get it to tip. Good idea to practice that under controlled conditions.
Yes, very important to have an idea what would happen.
...thanks 4 sharing, sending my full support, new friend
Thank you
pretty impressive getting back in that kayak. I would have had to swim to shore I am sure.
Thanks, might have been some luck. Likely going to try it again next week
That was awesome!! Great job Shawn!! 👍👍
Thanks so much
Great video ! I’ll have to try that with mine once the water gets warm enough (Ontario).
I highly recommend it so that you are ready if it ever happen to you
Now I know what to do if I flip a kayak. Thanks
No problem, thanks for watching
Challenging but very cool. Keep safe.
Thank you
Well done! First try too!
I tried, I think I got lucky. May actually try it again to see if I can do it more frequently

Yep, the re-entry wasn't that graceful, but we got the job done.
Good Fishing !
Thank you!
Owesome really nice showing everyone keep safe always
Thank you very much
awesome job getting back into the kayak;; first rule of thumb for a sit in kayak is..never paddle further from shore than your willing to swim.lol
That is a very good rule
I can't believe you did it either. Great job
Thanks, now we might do it again to see if we just got lucky and also so that Kieran can try it.
Well done!
Thank you
Great job my friend 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Good Job! Great way to show you can recover if you flip your Kayak :)

Very informative. I didn't know you had to get up over the bow. Not very graceful but got the job done. 👍
Thanks, yes the bow is only for sit-ins. Keeps water from getting in the cockpit. I think you can side enter sit on tops.
Way to hold to your 1000 sub promise! Great stuff, heres to another 1000 subs!
Fingers crossed! Will need to see what else I would promise if we get there.
Thanks for doing the test. What was the difference between the 1st and second flip that flooded so much more?
I didn't empty the water out from the first flip, so it was riding lower in the water.
Great job on that reentry! That did not look easy. This might help someone in the future that falls in unintentionally.
I hope so! Thanks for watching
I've gone over once, had to re-enter in 5ft water. So I could stand and slightly jump, but it was still pretty deep.
Sounds challenging, hopefully you didn't lose too much gear
Man you made it look easy!
Thanks, might try it again next week to see if I can replicate it.
Good adventure sir, dreaming of having a kayak soon for fishing 🎣
I hope you are able to get one
Not easy to get back in those Kayaks. At least there's no Sharks in your waters. LOL
Agreed, thanks for the comment
Nice job man! Looks like fun lol 😆
It actually was, but it was a very hot day!
I hope next time I Can also have a kayak like you bro
I hope you are able to as well
Right on
Thanks
I was wondering if you got back in, the second time. lol
Nope, too much water in the yak, but if I had bailed it out I would have been fine
Great upload , so beautiful thank you for sharing sir
So nice of you

Not easy to flip. Thanks for posting.

Lol, nice!

A lot of people still fish without life vests. I wonder how easy will be for them to enter a kayak back
I think it would be OK if you were a strong swimmer, but we never go without a life vest.
