Thanks for this great demonstration! Foam, milk jugs, or pool noodles are highly recommended. And a bailing pump. I’m watching Costco for a markdown sale on one of these. Looking forward to doing some of those fishing mods. Good times!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Glad you found it useful! Hope you are able to get a good deal on one. You will be happy with this kayak, it's pretty great for the price!! :)
Ohmygoodness she loved swimming that’s incredible what a natural and she didn’t make a peep 🥰🥰🥰 wish me luck I’ll be taking my cats camping this summer 😇 You guys got a new sub🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 & thanks for recommending this ☝🏽made my day 😊
Hahaha, thanks so much!!!! Appreciate your new sub!!! We will take ZuZu on more adventures this summer I'm sure. Good luck to you this summer!!! Hopefully your cats love spending time in the outdoors too!!! 😀
I used to have that kayak. It was good, but I think I was a little too tall for it. (6'3) and my feet were crunched in the end. But the Pelican was a good fun kayak. I used it for several years.
Great video. Still not looking forward to this. The key, don't flip your kayak, lol. Also agree that you need to stay close to shore. We always have a bucket along.
Hahahaha thank you!!! Yeah getting wet initially won't be the most fun thing to do. But after you are already soaked it is actually pretty fun. Haha. Only if it's hit enough out tho. Yeah I should also carry a bucket along, it might just become very handy one day. Especially when there's lots of inconsiderate boater around. Looking forward to your kayak flip video!! Haha
That would be ideal if you can get up onto shore!! But a lot of places have steep banks or banks covered by vegetation where it's impossible to walk up nevertheless pulling a kayak up. But if you can find a nice access it would be way easier to just get on shore! :)
But once you can touch, whatever you do it's going to be a lot easier than when you cannot touch. So moral of the story is that don't go too far away from shore with this types of kayaks.:)
Amazing how many people remove those foam pieces thinking they are for shipping purposes, without that foam these kayaks definitely will sink to the boat.
Yep that's in the plans!!! I actually tried a couple of weeks ago at Narrow Hills Provincial Park. But it was so hot out all the trout was fairly deep and I didn't have much luck. But I will be attempting to catch them again.
I also did a bass fishing trip at boundary recently too. So I'll make a video of that too. Maybe you can give me some bass fishing tips after that. Hahaha
@@jakedrago7805 it came with foam blocks on both sides of the seat. But I don't have additional float bags. However entering from the front works pretty good for me without any additional float bags. That's a good idea tho.
See our cat ZuZu's first ever swim at the end of the video! :)
Thank you for the video regarding many aspects of kayak entry and flooding. You addressed all the questions I had considered and now I know.
You are very welcome! Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy paddling! :)
Super cute video of a rememberable date
Haha thank you!!!
Great video thank you. Found one for sale but wasn’t sure if it would sink if it fills up with water. Very reassured 👍🏼
I'm glad the video helped you out!! Thanks for commenting!!! :)

Swimming cat!!! Wow!
Hahaha 😁😁
This was amazing !!!
Thank you very much Todd!!
Thank you! I really wondered whether the Pelican 'sit in' would sink.. Got a cheap bilge pump, so I'm not scared to go far from shore now. lol
Not a problem Jeffrey!! Thanks for watching and commenting. Stay safe out there!! :)
This was helpful. Thank you
Of course, no problem. Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting!!! 👍

Oh righton! Yeah you are pretty tall for the 10ft kayak.. haha. But yeah it is a very handy little kayak to get you out on the water!!
THE CAT!!!
Hahaha our adventure cat. :P
Yeah, amazing!!
Haha. Thank you!!! :)
No actual animals were harmed during the making of this video.
Haha nope... this is a vegan friendly video!!! Would you like me to make more videos like this over fishing and hunting?
Great video. Still not looking forward to this. The key, don't flip your kayak, lol. Also agree that you need to stay close to shore. We always have a bucket along.

Always have a bilge pump and air bags in bow and stern ( if your boat doesn’t have a bulkhead)
If you alone is difficult but if somebody do kayaking only need to help take the kayak holding hard and you can in easy like your video
If you can touch, wouldn’t it be easier to walk to shore and get back in that way?

Absolutely!!! Those foam pieces are so important!!! I might even add some to my kayak to make it more buoyant!
Nice mount 🤙🏼
Thank you very much!! :)
👍👍👍👍👍
You should do a trout fishing video.
Yep that's in the plans!!! I actually tried a couple of weeks ago at Narrow Hills Provincial Park. But it was so hot out all the trout was fairly deep and I didn't have much luck. But I will be attempting to catch them again.

My goal is to catch every game fish species on Saskatchewan! Haha
Nice spot in a heat wave.
Haha yeah!!! Nice to be at the lake when it was so hot out!!
Take your paddle apart and shovel water out too :)
Nice!! That's a great idea!! Thanks!!
It’s easier to enter from back in deep water
I tried that too. You can see in the video. But my kayak could not hold my weight when entered from back.
But I'm glad that you tried it in person and was able to find what works best for you. Cudos for being prepared for worst case scenario!!
Did you have float bags ( or a bulkhead) in that yak it makes reentry and bailing out water much easier?
