In an effort to eliminate tires getting the valve stems ripped out I built mine with tracks. It steers like a bobcat and is powered by a 8hp gas engine. I'm in process of building the same design with electric motors. This will reduce the height dramatically and be much quieter. This design is much smaller, and eliminates the need for a swivel wheel.

Really enjoyed the ride - pardon the pun. I was thinking about a handlebar with twisting grips that could control the motor forwards or backwards, one for each side for each of the motors. Looked around online but nothing really available that would be simple enough. Be interesting to design and fabricate. Looking forward to seeing what is next.

Everything but the noise. A little grease on the gears might help that.

Your design should eliminate the biggest problem I have found with all these trailer dolly designs; that is the tendency of the smaller wheels to slip on wet grass. In your case, you have replaced the easy answer of larger wheels with deep treads with more wheels of a smaller size. I would be interested in how your design works to pull trailers across wet grass.....

Getting traction is to main problem, here in the desert it’s sand on the concrete that causes loss of traction. This is why I went to six wheels and a heavy frame.
There’s grass here in yards but it’s never wet for longer than a few minutes.
      Thanks for the comments

Seems like it wouldn’t turn very well at all with all those tires and length.

It’s able to rotate well when the two sides turn opposite directions.
It’s very slow but can turn sharp, though it’s annoying when it pops the bricks out of my verge.

I think you'll be able to move a trailer with an army tank on it
