I'm so impressed that you started as 2 people making Mario machinima's to a full blown production team that made a whole animated series. I'm so proud. You all inspire me and many people.
I remember seeing the first Tari episode after watching SMG4 for awhile, and thinking, "Dang, this is good". And it only got better.

But looking at some clips, they have improved SO MUCH
One thing I always adore about the Meta Runner songs is how poetic the lyrics are! It’s like every time you listen to them, it’s like you’re right there in the midst of the adventure with Tari and the rest of the characters! I especially saw this in Only Up (my personal favorite) and Trade!
About Only Up... Is my favorite too...
Also, I agree 100% with you.
I agrees 100% for _Only Up_ and _Trade_ (especially when you imagine it's Tari herself singing these two), though _Bluejay_ and _Always Running_ give me that vibe as well (while imagining Masa singing in the case of _Always Running_ ).

I see your point! I listened to the lyrics and saw the clips that were used for Breeze and Battle Blaze, and I was able to ultimately see that they were related to Belle and Masa respectively

I am late to the party but This show hooked me so hard that I literally binged all of it in 2 days. Thanks so much for this awesome story, and while I understand Meta Runner is done I really hope Tari will make a come back sometime. She is my new all time fave protag. You guys did an amazing job with her character, and of course the entire series.

Even several weeks after the fact I still can't believe Meta Runner is over, I had a hunch at the end of Season 2 that Tari would eventually have to give up a part of herself so that Lucinia could return, but she has become such an integral part of SMG4 and Glitch Production's legacy that nothing could mentally prepare me for it and how it turned out in the end. Seeing Tari say goodbye in the final episode already hit me hard, but listening to this collaboration concert, seeing the skills of many musicians, I was blown away just how much love and life has been poured into this world and it's characters, by the production team and the community that made it possible.
Hearing Blue Jay especially in this context with the recap of scenes from the show, serving as memories and tribute to Tari, made me dizzy and tight in the throat. The raw emotion evoked by it all is overwhelming and palpable. In particular the last photo of Tari and Theo with the Blue Jay hoodie and the words "Hopefully I'll see you soon"
I subscribed to SMG4 back in 2014, and suffice to say it feels like a butterfly effect; a happy little accident. I feel honoured to have been able to see and know Meta Runner, and I owe it all to SMG4 for making Mario videos all those years ago. I believe Both channels are still niche and criminally under-appreciated/unknown to many (I've yet to see anyone in person not counting other people on the internet here, that I can share my love of this content with), so the chances of any particular person happening to discover and experience this show in a lifetime seems fickle. Though maybe I'm just crazy.
Case in point, I have all these pent up thoughts about how this has shaped my mind, and wanted to get it out there. I salute you Tari, SMG4 and Glitch Productions; and to AJ DiSpirito and all the other people who made this music and concert.

Always Running is one of my personal favourite openings to a show in recent years.
Meta Runner was a great series from Luke, Kevin and the rest of GLITCH casts! We are grateful for this!

This. Was. Beautiful. I don't know if I could truly put into words how amazing this whole journey was. From the humble beginnings of Tari as the shy gamer girl in SMG4 to THIS, I am truly grateful to have been around for the whole thing. Thank you, Luke, Kevin, and all if you at GLITCH, for creating such a masterpiece.
Everyone who has worked on this show is amazing and I wish the best for them. The voice actors truly brought the characters to life. I can't believe it's been 3 years. SMG4 has been with me for half of my life, and has built most of my childhood. Thank you all. It's truly, truly... Been a roundabout path.

Not gonna lie I actually hated Only Up when I first heard it. The background music sounded too chaotic and the song was a huge downgrade from Always Running.
But slowly the song grew on me and now I like it.

I have never felt so depressed by a show ending, this show became my safe space in some dark places and I will always love and appreciate its existence. I would like to thank all of you wonderful people from the bottom of my heart for making the world a better place for me. This show and the memories it has given me shall always move me to tears (in a truly beautiful way)

Meta Runner's songs actually inspired my to try out singing myself. I've been singing for the past year and a half now and have slowly improved. Thank you Meta Runner for igniting that interest!
Im upset as hell they ended this, i will definitely be watching this to say my goodbyes to a series deeply loved by all of us!
this was never meant to be a long-term thing. This was their first foray into a mainstream animated series, and they KILLED it for 3 seasons, even cramming a metric crapton of action and story into a meager 8 episode Final Season. Luke and Kev's first joint venture paid off DIVIDENDS for them. They have their own indie studio now and are working alongside an animating legend on YT in Liam Vickers(one of the best indie storyboarders IMO) for their next series that drops around Christmas in december. That, and their prowess in the Genesis/Anime Arcs for SMG4, alongside Sunset Paradise(Meggie Vacation Arc) are all stark reminders of just how much tears, stress, and love these young men have dedicated to their craft.
And in the process, they have drawn in a global fanbase that has embraced them and lifted them up even during a global pandemic. Luke and Kevin are the kind of folks that aspiring animators should strive to embody if they wish to make it big. Because they have what it takes

My favorite throughout the entire vocal songs will forever be Steady. The slowed down guitars, string violins and tempo’d keyboard, mixed with the soothing lyrics forever stay with me. It was actually the song that inspired me to jump back into music and study it again. Thank you Glitch for the show, and thank you AJ for the best soundtrack a series deserved.

its been more than a year since this concert came out, but Meta Runner, especially the final episode and just reading some of these comments, has just been a very emotional thing to me, and I quite literally started crying multiple times in the final episode. the people at GLITCH productions did an amazing job with this amazing emotional rollercoaster and masterpiece.
What an beautiful way to end the series. Luke, Kevin.... You guys are the best, started with a stupid and a random Machinima and look where you guys reached. I am very happy for you guys and I will support you guys with everything (yeah, even though I had some critics with the main channel). You changed our lives, Luke. Thank you for everything and keep it up!

My favourite part was hearing Trade and Bluejay in full with vocals because you only hear portions in the season, so it was nice to hear them all here WITH the vocals in tow. They are by far the 2 biggest achievements of this entire series’s music collection

I am sad to see this show come to an end... I have been watching it since release of episode 1. As much as it sucks though, all great things must come to an end. But even then, I cannot believe how far you and your team have gotten, Luke and Kevin, and I am excited to see what the future has in store!
Having watched this series from day one, I will never forget seeing this video live and crying harder than I ever had before. This series was and always will be at the top of my list. The intro happened to pop on while my playlist was on shuffle and Just hearing the first few seconds of it brought a tear to my eye, i just had to come back and listen again. I'm so glad you guys followed your dreams and made this masterpiece that will always have a spot in my heart. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see what else you guys have in store

This is great i remember watching the first episode of meta runner and crying when it finished hoping for a season 2 (i was 11 at the time) so thank you loved watching this
