I'm from Erie, now living in the north east Pa. We get snow but nothing like you have the thing is two to three inches and the drivers here can't drive lucky being from Erie I can. I'll take the snow over the cold any day stay safe
Weather like this, stops basic necessities from getting through. Food, on trucks, medicines, other basic necessities. At least if its fresh food, it won't spoil as if it was summer. But medicines, lose power, no internet, paying Bill's could get out of hand. Roofs can cave in from weight from snow. Heart attacks for those out there trying to shovel. Yes, winter snow is beautiful but it can be deadly too. Like sum mb er hurricanes and hail like thunder storms
The authorities seemed to have a pretty bad job of getting these truckers (and other motorists) unstuck and back on a plowed and salted highway. I mean Erie gets huge snows every year. Emergency services should have been mobilized a lot sooner. Pre planning for this well predicted storm seems not to have taken place. Everyone was given Thanksgiving Day off and clearing efforts did not get underway until Friday mid day . By then the damage had been done.
I live in Erie, and I can see that the city is busily plowing out the rich people's neighborhoods and streets while ours is still deep in snow. Confirms what we already surmised.
Ours are out of the street. They have been. This is a street where all have driveways and are using them. Sorry, but your response is untrue. We are midfle class here, well educated and able to follow instructions. Too bad the same is not true of city employees.
@@TUGG75Not true in my neighborhood. We ate a middle class, well-kept neighborhood with no cars in the street. We are highly educated and have no problem reading and following directions. What a classless, prejudiced and ridiculous comment. Did I use too many big words for you?
People not knowing how to live 101... Flat roof in Erie.... hmmmm There are countless videos on youtube about roof design and all of them are about choice. it is never about choice.
I'd pay extra to have a UA-cam option where I could make a mouse motion down to start reading the comments, but then remember that I can just tap a button to "close comments" kind of like you can close the UA-cam chat... just an extra little tool to keep myself distanced from all the mouth breathers and their ilk - youTube, take note, I would pay extra.
I used to do this for 40 yrs, accident free, US/Canada, and a Snowplow driver too. Don’t miss the Snow at all, retired, moved to Florida 💕👍☀️☀️☀️
My favorite live weather channel 😁

OMG! That man shoveling snow off his roof did it for me .... I can't imagine dealing with that much snow so quickly! 🙄🥶❄❄
Seeing the man shoveling his roof @3:25 makes you think about roofs collapsing from heavy snow.
50% of people don't even need to be out there.
I know for a reason because I was one of those people.😊😊😊
Glad I'm 800 miles away
I left Erie when hurricane Hugo hit the Virgin Islands and never looked back.

My blood family is still there, but I got smart, and high-tailed it to central Mexico. I don't miss the snow, now.
Have a good relocation and enjoy Mexico
