Like many Japanese bands they scoff at the idea of genre as they move around genres at will. As for songs their 1st song Oiran is a fan favorite, Adabana is different but damn impressive as well.
Thank you Teemu for your clear reaction and the subtitles. This is an interesting band and relatively new for me. I have only been listening to J rock/metal for a few months and have been greatly impressed by the talent that has developed in Japan (in no particular order Nemophila, Bridear, Trident, Hagane, Lovebites, Band Maid, Wagakki band, Hanabie, Unlucky Morpheus and Baby metal) that we in the west have ignored for far too long. As far as recommending other songs to check out by this group try Revive, Dissension, Adabana and Hypnosis.

My favorite right now is Hanabie. They are sort of slightly jpop infused metalcore. Super heavy but also somehow makes me want to dance. I like most of the above mentioned bands but I would also like to add Aldious, Destrose and Broken by the Scream. Aldious are veterans. Just a ton of great songs. Destrose is a dead band that featured members of many of the bands mentioned above. Especially Lovebites and Nemophila. But Destrose has great songs. Broken by the Scream is Babymetal on steroids. They're a trip. If you want to dig deep A Drop of Joker. It's the former band for a guitarist in Lovebites. I could only find two songs but I love them. Another one is Greed Five Eggs. Greed Five Eggs is very obscure but they sound like Hanabie. Hanabie but a little more relaxed. I listen to their songs quite often. Especially 'How to get'.

Good reaction. It is always a pleasure to hear informed opinions. Nemophila's style is very varied (they cover many of the Rock styles) although, almost always with a metallic base. Essential songs: Oiran, Revive, Dissension, Adabana...

I appreciate the knowledgeable reaction and the subtitles. Nemophila play a variety styles and excel at all of them. They are not easily categorized. I highly recommend you check out their song Adabana. It has one of the best bridges I’ve ever heard.

Great reaction. My recommendation for the next song would be all of them! I really can’t choose one over another from their original works. If you react to one of their covers, I would suggest Kurenai by X Japan. I’ve had that on repeat for a while. Tamu just plays her heart out!

@ Post Script (PS). Hat’s off to the Tama drum manufacturer. To produce a kit that can withstand a Tamu Murata (drummer) beating like this (Kurenai) and another 80 minutes of her just as hard playing is fabulous. It is also the same manufacture that Yoshiki played on the original from X-Japan, before fracturing his neck changing to piano for years. He is still active and one of the worlds greatest composures and musicians.
NEMOPHILA are my favorite Metal band. But they play a wide variety of styles, so you need to watch all of their videos. Start with the demo version of OIRAN, with the video recorded in their studio. (not the live version). Then work your way chronologically through their video releases. They’ve also made dozens of wonderful covers of songs by Japanese and Western bands. (The Japanese songs are more interesting.) The ladies are, from left to right: HAZUKI (Gt.), HARAGUCHI-SAN (Ba.), MAYU (Vo.), MURATA TAMU (Dr.), SAKI [A.K.A., Chucky] (Gt.) They all have professional experience prior to NEMOPHILA. HAZUKI is active with the LISA-X BAND. MURATA has an endorsement deal with Tama drums. SAKI is still playing with MARY’S BLOOD (another all-female Metal band-check out Marionette and Crime And Punishment). NEMOPHILA can take you down a deep rabbit hole, indeed.

Nemophila was formed by Mayu, vocals, to record some demos for her to search for another gig. They found that they meshed so well and enjoyed working together they decided to officially to become as band. Sometimes referred to as a "super group" as all members are well known and respected in Japan. Saki and Hazuki, are playing 7 string guitars with Saki playing her signature guitar from Killer guitars. Murata Tamu is top drummer in high demand as a free lance and session drummer (there a number of videos proving that). Haraguchi-san, 5 string bass also is school mate of Mayu's'. They have played the famed Whiskey a Go Go and the Aftershock music festival in California. First outside Japan. With a US tour in 2023. Mayu is on maternity leave for 1st child currently. For a different voice from Mayu and a live stream performance see "Monsters". Mayu is a lady of many voices, all superb!! You need to react to Band Maid, they the #1 Rock/Metal band Japan right and just finished their sold-out US tour. Check "Blooming" studio MV and "Freedom" Live performance. They are a Hard Rock band.

Nemophila have quickly established themselves as one of Japan's premier metal bands and they don't look like slowing down any time soon. It's very hard to put them in a specific box, because they dabble in so many different subgenres, but that just means it's worth listening to all of their music. I recommend Adabana, Hypnosis, Revive and Oiran to show them off. Great stuff dude 👍🔥

Don't forget the guys. Ningen Isu is a Japanese male hard rock/metal band that has been around for 35 years. I think the best song to start would be "Heartless Scat" followed by "Toshishun".
Hello.......you haven't seen anything yet !!!!!! This band is amazing....made up of the top female metal musicians from Japan. The guitarist are considered prodigy's and the drummer is considered one of the top female drummers in the world. And the singer....omg wait till you hear her in Revive....Dissension....Monsters and my new fav Hypnosis. They will blow away every other metal band !!!!!
