Magical band. They play whatever they wanna play and killed it. It’s like they were born to play together. Amazing musicians. Best Band in this Universe 🔥🤘❤️🇫🇮
Nailed it: one of the big reasons Japanese rock and metal are killing it is that the standard of musicianship is way, way up there. Career musician here, and I live in Japan. I love that I have to be at the very top of my game all the time to not make a fool of myself! I can't recommend seeing Nemophila live enough. I've seen them twice and hoping to catch a stop in the tour they're about to begin over here. Not many bands in a lifetime have that "in the presence of greatness" vibe at their live gigs. Nemophila are one such band.
Nemophila had a short 8 show US tour in March of this year. There were 4 shows in California, 3 in Texas and they ended with a show in NYC. Last year, their US debut was at Whisky A Go Go on July 1, 2022 and the first 2 or 3 songs were live streamed. They were also at Aftershock last year. I saw them in Dallas at small club (I would guess 500 capacity) and was right by the stage in front of Saki. They put on a fantastic show. The guy next to me videoed a lot of it and uploaded several videos to his UA-cam channel. I took my daughter and granddaughter to the show and they both loved it. I also took them to see Band-Maid last October and they both preferred Nemophila between the two. Personally, I can't decide between the two - both are great live bands. I will be seeing Lovebites at ProgPower in Atlanta next fall which I have no doubt will also be great. There are so many great Japanese rock/metal bands. My favorites, besides Nemophila, are Band-Maid, Lovebites, Asterism (who I saw this summer in NYC), Unlucky Morpheus, Gacharic Spin and Hanabie (who I missed seeing when they were recently in Texas).
@@LienKoorbtsew-xb3mr If you were me, you would be in your early 60s and practically blind without contact lenses. On the plus side, though, I am also seeing Iron Maiden next fall.
can't get enough of their refreshing sound! speaking of Berklee level of musicianship - the US american metal band Seven Spires is also genre-bending and they are actually Berklee graduates
The members of nemophila are musicians from different bands. They are all excellent musicians. And nemophila is a very unique and diverse band, with various genres of music appearing in their catalog. 🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
talking of proficiency in Japan, I'd suggest you see Hal-Ca - the girl is...I don't know, 16-17 but wow, wow; the band is called Asterism, an instrumental heavy metal trio, with the song "Church" - live studio session. An amazing showcase of the technicality that bands from Japan bring on the metal scene. Other than that - Nemophila is the best metal band walking the Earth today
A suggestion - Read the Marty Friedman (formally of Megadeath) 2 part interview in JRock News. Marty now lives and works in Japan. In the interview he lays out the reasons that the Japanese musicians and the bands are so skilled and talented. Also unless you know the bands X Japan, Luna Sea, Show Ya, Loudness, etc. You don't really know who has influenced them.
They are incredible, Japan is coming out with probably the best metal in years, And since your getting into Japanese metal you should defiantly check out Hanabie. great reaction!
