Brilliant summary of Alfa support - electronics just not backed up with spares, like the window/mirror switches. However, if man can make it, they can be fixed! Loved the Covid statements, hopefully we are coming out of the worst now. Take care yourself!
Blimey, Eddie Mann. I used to visit your place in Park Royal in the early nineties. Bought a 2.0 twin cam from you for my Alfetta GTV. Also an interior for a 33. I was looking for a Lancia aurelia spider to do some film work with and you gave me the contact details for a chap that you called Tankard the Wankard. Hilarious. Great to see you.
We have fixed the first two roof Ecu. I was so happy and relived.... 2 out of 2 NOT BAD...? then it was 2 out of 3. ... then 2 out of 4. We replace the pumps with very good Recon units.... we repair the flap motors.... we fit the internal struts...have replaced rams Feed pipes....... And now have started to replace the hydraulic fluid on cars with discourlered
Whoops just pressed wrong button. We have started to replace discoloured HYDRAULIC fluid ... trying to save the pumps.... last pump I changed the fluid was greyish and watery ... I just hope others try and remove Ecu and dry out and look for dry joints... corrosion on Connectors ... WAD also tries .... have called Ecu repairers .... no luck.... Don’t use BBA THEY DEFRAUDED ME ON A MERK. HOOD ECU.... A Freind fixed it for me when I reopened the package back from BBA ..... ONE BAD CORRODED CONNECTOR.... THET DID NOT EVEN TEST UNIT...BUT CHARGED ME.... So far repaired 4 out of 9.... dry joints, corrosion. GOOD LUCK TO ALL..... Regards Eddy
