Even as a staunch Sims 3 player, this victory is clearly for Sims 2. However, having not fully played The Sims 2, I did not realize how damn thirsty the sims in that game were. Have to give an honorable mention to The Sims 1 though for that “fiery” passion though. 🔥
sims 2 wins for having the added detailed of shy-outgoing personality affecting the animations played and the animations overall being more realistic AND for the cutscenes and also for every interaction having its own unique animation unlike the following games that not only borrowed sims 2 animations but they have different texts that play the same animation which tbh just feels lazy
Changing the name of interactions to reuse animations is one of my biggest pet peeves. I got excited when I saw so many new ones pop up with the romantically reserved trait, only to find out it's all just different names!
I had to laugh so much about the seductive dance in Sims 4. And the second-hand embarrassment I get when the Sims make all these weird noises while being romantic... The Sims is just too funny!
Sims 2 and 4 made me go aww more times than I can count. The Sims 1 made me feel like I was not supposed to be witnessing any of this. Some of the rooms reminded me of the backrooms.
I would add that teenagers in Sims 4 often have different animations for romantic interactions - for example making out on a couch and kissing are a little more steamy and instead of normal woohoo they can "mess around" and they do it in full clothing
The music that playing during the passionate kiss in Sims 1 is a bit from Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture! And as someone who has only ever played Sims 4, the making out on the couch from Sims 2 TOOK ME OUT OMG.

@@arcticxabyssJust an fyi, both cutscenes and loading screens reduce lag. You can most easily notice this comparing TS2 cutscenes for major events (i.e. moving, aging up, giving birth, etc.) to TS3 transitional rendering for the same events (especially with more dlc installed). Then compare even TS3's closest variant, TS:Medieval (loading screens), which allow for each new setting to load in the background, instead of having to pause the game in TS3, to allow new area to fully render (this takes more and more time, the more content installed, and the larger the save file). Sadly, many do complain about the repetition of cutscenes in video games, but they are integral parts that allow games to load in next scenes in the background. I personally love all of TS2's cutscenes, and feel that anytime I turn them off, besides experiencing more glitching and lags, the game seems to lose part if its personality.

Once when I was a kid my therapist played Sims 2 with me. I took my sims on date and put them in jaccuzi, and well, you might know what happened then. She asked me what are they doing and I was like: "I have no idea... they are just swimming" 😂 And that was true, because I actualy didn't know what is woohoo about
Lol you were a more innocent kid than me, I knew what it was right away. Of course I also found out that there was a glitch in 1 where you could get them to walk around naked (they looked like Barbie dolls) if you move objected the shower while they were in it

Lovely video as always, looks like a lot of work! I just want to point out as a TS2 aficionado that there is a lot more that goes into attraction/chemistry in the sims 2 than turn ons and turn offs. Turns ons and turn offs actually have a relatively small impact compared to the other factors. In the sims 2 a sim’s aspiration, zodiac sign, the similarity of their personality points, and their current relationship with a sim all have an influence on their attraction/chemistry. It’s a more complex system than any of the other games, and some people prefer to turn off certain functions of it (like the zodiac’s impact on chemistry) with mods so that they can have more control over who is attracted to who via turn ons.
I really liked the way TS1 &2 talked soft like. I don't remember disliking TS 3 either. But the TS4 "smarter sims" voices and mannerisms are sooo irritating.

i prefer the sims 4 out of all of the games just because i mod the living shit out of it. not saying that the rest of the games aren't fun without mods or with mods even, but its more story driven than id like for me to make my favorite characters watch them kill eachother LOL

Unpopular Choice - Sims 1! It introduced the love bed, and was it was weirdly rewarding to get Sims to a high enough relationship to 'Play'! The big burrito comment made me laugh!
I'm with everybody saying The Sims 2 just for that couch makeout, damn! I do not blame you for feeling like a perv! XD That being said, Sims 4 does have a few nice things -- I think I like their "blow a kiss" animation best. The problem there is some of these interactions -- like the slow dance, and the rug stuff -- are exclusive to packs. Which I'm sure was true of past generations too, but it feels like Sims 4 pushes the envelope in that regard, and not in a good way.
Fun fact about 2 TS2 interactions: The charm animation 1:08 differs from shy and outgoing sims initiating the interaction. The outgoing one leans into the other sim more Also the tender kiss 8:49 has a second animation yet ive only seen it when i installed ACR and used it through its menu. Not sure what triggers it. The only difference is that the initiating sim caresses the other sim before pulling their face closer and kissing them.
As always, Sims 4 proof how soulless the games is. In the end the new pack just stole everything from sims2 and acts as if it's new. I have so much more fun with relationships in game 2 (and 3) Thank you for uploading, your videos are always so relaxing to watch and on point, love it!

Like, during the slow dance in the Sims 2, the sims can: Dance closer, put thier head on theirs partner's shoulder or lower their hands. And in the Sims 3 newely weds get the "get frisky" interaction, which makes them do risky woohoo, that may or may not result in pregnancy. Girl, could you kindly make more research for your videos? I'd love for them to be as informative as possible. 😘
The remark about "doing research" comes across very rude. These videos are always pretty thorough in my opinion, and this one is no exception. The additional slow dancing interactions were probably cut for time. (There's a whole other video on ONLY slow dancing that does cover those interactions.) And all of the games have a lot of interactions and some are easy to miss. It's normal that one or two either slips through the cracks (or gets cut for time, especially in a topic as broad as this). Next time, maybe try sharing additional information in a kind way. :)
You should make your own research, you know. Get frisky only make them do risky woohoo if you have a mod that enables the interaction. Otherwise, it's just a regular woohoo that cannot end in pregnancy. Took me one Google search to find this out 😁

It's sad seeing The Sims 4 getting so much hate. It's honestly one of my favorites after The Sims 2.
Yeah- 3 was great in other ways but its animations were pretty lacking there. And they did add a lot of romance stuff with this latest expansion
They only want money with TS4. Looks at the lot of expansions and they STILL don´t have burglars trying to rob your house.
