I could watch this all day.
The variety of options that you are able to run through and explain in a wedge fitting video is much more entertaining/instructive/attention-retaining than other club testing content.
Having Chris Hemsworth on camera as your short-game instructor doesn't hurt either.

Fascinating to me. The actual difference on the clubs will be tiny, but user impact is clearly huge. Duncan made a great point that it's OK for grinds not to work. I suspect too many will have an idea of what they "need" when it's actually what they "want".

I’m a senior guy coming back into the game after 20+ years. Back in the day my short game was my always my Achilles heel (except putting), and coming back it’s still the same. I’ve had lessons and tried a variety of wedges - Jaws, CB Zipcores, etc, but nothing seemed to work. Recently, whilst playing with my son I tried out his Vokeys. Wow, what a difference! I couldn’t go for a fitting, so I picked a couple of options based on the App’s recommendations and tryouts on the store’s Trackman. My short game is so much better, and Dan’s comment about ‘throwing the club at the ball’ resonates with me - one of my selections is the 56. This session was super interesting and reinforced some of my own findings. As my game improves, I’ll definitely be delving into the grind and bounce options more, but for now I do have clubs that get me on the dance floor more often from close in and that in itself is a new experience!

I think this was superb. Shows there are so many options and combinations, with lofts bounce and grinds. So interesting to hear the thinking and science working with how the player feels. Great video.

Good luck, Dan. New driver, 3 and 5 woods. New T100's. New wedges. Should be ready for whatever comes your way.
I have some kind of 52° Ping clone, and Wilson 56°and 60° wedges. Still about 2 months before I can start chipping. This whole year has been a washout for me. Cheers from Texas. 🏌️⛳🤠

Always been intrigued by the grind options. Now understand that you need to be competent and confident with a repeatable swing for specific approaches *before* grinds (bounce and loft) can be effectively determined to aid your game.
Get your swing and swing thoughts right before selecting grind.

Was in Woburn yesterday and I’ve never had a wedge fitting like that before completely blew my mind. Duncan was amazing and it was a real eye opener on how the grind can really effect your strike.
That wedge app is a geat tool and couple that with been able to go and play all the shots on grass it just fills you with confidence you have the right wedges

Always jealous when I see these videos Dan! Can’t imagine how far I’d have to drive to find somewhere like that, that would let me actually hit clubs on grass and in sand, not into a screen off of turf. I only get to play about once a week for 3 months a year, so sadly it would likely cost about a months worth of golf as well. He does a great job with you every time, very positive! Honestly I was kind of hoping that first time when he wasn’t letting you see the bottom of the clubs, that they were actually all the same 😂 Enjoy watching these though Dan!

I treated myself to some new Vokey wedges after being made redundant earlier this year - fitting experience was great (albeit very different from this one) and the wedges are awesome - I went 50, 54, 58 from 50, 55, 60

I had SM9 fitting at Titleist and got 48F, 54S & 60M, really pleased with them for use in warm weather and firm conditions. In winter when the course is soft I revert to my old Ping glide 2 stealth 48 & 54 including a 58/14. Works for me as the Vokey 60/08 digs too much in soft turf. My irons are Callaway Apex with 43 PW so perfect gapping.

I need to get fitted for wedges.
I learned the game with a 52’ and a 56’ and manipulated them as needed and never liked a 60’.
Thing is with the modern iron lofts the PW is now 44’ - 46’ which means rather than a 52’ a 50’ fills the gap better. Because of that I recently had my 56’ bent to 54’ and put in a 58’. I just can’t get on with it as a 54’, no doubt the bounce will have been affected.
Great to have access to a facility like that to do it.

I have a T grind in the bag I always used high bounce wedges and wasn’t great especially with tight lies but the T grind (4 degrees of bounce) is my go to now around the greens. I’m sure most people wouldn’t get on with it but everyone plays differently that’s why bounce and grind selection is so important.

I think if you're changing the bounce with Vokey the grind changes too. I could be wrong. The thing too with wedges is that those are the prefect ones for that day and those conditions, elsewhere you may need completely different options

Great video Dan. Similarly got the SM6 52/12F and SM9 56/14F, but can’t get my traditional eye around the look of the vokey 60 grinds 😅. Would love a vokey 60 in low bounce K, but not easy to find out here in Japan. Instead I’ve gone with a classic Cleveland 588 60/06 from around 2001 😊

That was very interesting. I don’t like bounce. I have a 54m8* and 60l4* and mainly chip with the 60. I have a t100 PW@46 and T100 gap @ 50 for full shots. If I don’t have to go up I use the PW. Great 20minutes and very thought provoking.

I started with SCOR 54 and 59 wedges and just ended up with a pair of Callaway Jaws (after a fitting)...
    Callaway Wedge--Jaws Raw-RH-Chrome-54.10-S Grind
    Callaway Wedge--Jaws Raw-RH-Chrome-60.8-Z Grind
I'm a high handicap and would never have thought I would have ended up with such low bounce or Callaway wedges. Who knew...

Think the Woburn facility looks world class, one day May have to stump up the cost and go for a look.. one point about the video, I couldn’t help notice as you pitch and chip you lift your left toe slightly and open up your front foot.. my mate used to do similar and it caused him to be inconsistent as his coach said it was because he want keeping enough weight on his left side, meaning his transfer wasn’t the same.. he made him Practice with a golf ball under his left heel and work on maintaining consistent pressure.. his chipping has come on loads.. as for wedges and grinds being techy I could spend hours and hours just hitting balls and looking at the different flights.. 💥💥👍👍

We all have to make a living your subscriber levels have stayed relatively low and you have a lot of people involved in the content bottom line seems to be 46k subscribers isn't enough to sustain an income between you. A lot of the vlogs titles are clearly clickbait and I'm someone who genuinely likes a lot of what you put out.Selling of the merchandise is another instance of an intrusion into watching content.
