Proud to say, I didn't doubt her, though it was definitely tempting mid-ShB. But I always figured, even if we were "tempered", we still obviously had free will and her goal was preservation. We'd already seen not every primal was evil, even if their existence was still technically a problem (looking at you, Ramuh). It was nice to have that faith vindicated in the end. I loved all the screentime we got with her.
She gives us all the guidance and power we need to carry out what's left of her mission. Then, she meets her end, and we need to execute the final and most important mission, without her watching over us. All good mothers know when they need to let their children stand on their own two feet.
Our strength has always been our own. But with her blessing, our strength finds purpose. And this combination, strength guided by purpose, is what power is.
Surprisingly, the best twist turned out to be that there was no twist. No ulterior motives, just a heroic soul doing what she must to save not her own people but all those that she can. Our predecessor, our guide, our protector, our mother.

Its crazy they confirmed to fight us before we went after bird girl she used her literal soul to make it a proper test. she would not go back to the aetherical sea, she gave up everything she had left. rip venat, we will carry the weight now.
That was an awesome video, I know it’s wishful thinking but I really hope we get to see Venat, Emet and Hythlodeaus at some point in the next expansion, yeah I know EW was closing the story arch but man playing through EW I got to really love their characters they felt just as part of the scions even if they weren’t, emet was awesome… well they all were and it made you see emet in a different way compared with his old way when we all thought he was evil, it goes to show don’t judge a book by it’s cover he was only trying to save his world just like we were but like I say I would really love to see those three in the future if Yoshi P and the team can work out a way I mean we got Graha back who’s to say we can’t get them 3 back somehow? We went to the moon for crying out loud 🤣
G'raha was always meant to come back. Even when we say farewell to him it's with the hope we'll wake him up someday. Emet and Hythlodaeus are not only dead but *want* to stay dead.
@@vyper8984 tbh i think it's entirely possible. hyth leaves us with the sentiment that he hopes we meet again, be it in this life or the next. while emet doesn't immediately echo that sentiment, he gives us the same smile he did when he first passed. i think their wish not to be reborn sundered, leaving them adrift in the lifestream, could open up a future where we can bring them back by our own means. we also can't forget that there is an alternate timeline (where g'raha's memory hails) where emet still lives. azem's magic is that of summoning- that magic could totally be employed (say we rejoin ourselves in the future, which isn't completely out of the picture cus we are now traversing the shards) if we could still regain the unsundered seat of azem to employ that magic. ascians had to perform a ritual under zodiark to ascend a fragmented soul to a seat. what happens if a seat that has not quite been vacated (considering there was no successor) finds its holder remade? the unsundered still held their seats regardless of the sundering taking place. i wouldn't discount it. when we summoned them, they had to have had some semblance of life to employ creation magicks as well as to make alisae question why they were leaving. idk what "returning to the star" means, but they could still be souls adrift w/o corporeal form. they said themselves that they don't want to be remade by hydaelyn's magic, so i wonder if returning to the star after the sundering equals your soul being sundered & subsequently remade. getting them to move on from the ancient world is a different matter entirely, but not unfathomable they could aid us in the future as they did and have done. there is just so much to speculate lol anyway, i will literally will these two alive if i have to i love them so much lol

He was already tired of time unending spent trying to rejoin the world, and in the end he accepted that the world(s) had to move forward and his past was gone. As his final act, he followed the Ancient tradition: he appointed a successor to his work (caring for the world) and returned to the Star. We are that successor, and it's up to us to carry on his mantle and care for the world we love. Returning him to the story after that would be such a disservice to a very well resolved arc.

What a cringe character Really did not like her in Endwalker. Sprouting all this generic light nonsense and friendship and bs, while ruining her entire race by taking the biggest gamble you can ever imagine. Thankfully for her, this went well cause the story said so. In reality, it may have gone well or horribly wrong. Since you don't know what lifeforms the stars will hold. Can easily lead to more chaos and suffering and have nothing be changed.

She destroyed her species then buried its history, to masquerade as a god, I don’t think “preservation” is the best way to describe her goals.
