Evacuation orders issued as Debby remnants cause floods in parts of New York

Canisteo, N.Y. (WHAM)- Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a statewide state of emergency Friday as the remnants of Debby caused devastating floods and damage.
Several towns and villages in Steuben County and the Southern Tier were placed under evacuation. Steuben County's emergency management office urged communities to avoid all unnecessary travel, as multiple roads were left unpassable due to flooding and debris.
One woman in Canisteo captured intense footage as massive amounts of water ripped through parts of the town.
