I don't get the Dr. Scarlett hate. A criminal investigation? For what? The only reason it was a problem for her to hire her friends was that they weren't from Saint Louis. Cronyism is rife in SLPS, but we have very few Seattleites working here. She tried to hire people from outside the system, which is a good thing because the system is broken. Maybe she didn't get the best ever people, but she broke no laws, and we are kidding ourselves if we think top tier talent is interested in coming to SLPS without an invitation from a friend. If you are blaming the board for the district's problems (you should), you should think twice before you let them scapegoat this poor woman. She moved from Seattle to the Midwest so we could ruin her career and her reputation and call her friends crooks. Great work.
I personally know of 3 generations and 4 members of a family from my neighborhood that works in the st louis city traffic street division. Nepotism is alive and well in government.
Donnybrook is underrated. Local public broadcasting is underrated! as a millenial recently relocated from STL to kansas, I am proud they cover topics no one thinks to discuss. This is an effort to address the needs of pedestrians in general. No more transpo deserts, banking deserts, food deserts, job deserts...I just moved to a trailer park in Gardner, KS and am grateful I can finally walk to the grocery store, automotive repair, gas station, etc. Id love to be able to at least WALK anywhere I need to.
They were paying kids to push these signatures in parking lots. I tried to explain it to them that their parents didn't abort them. The dead look in their eyes. Any grown adult that excuses infanticide should volunteer themselves first.
Interesting how the stl schools huge financial deficit happens around the same time the vote for online sports gambling that claims it will fund schools gets on the ballot for November.
That was a cowardly conversation. Not one person had the courage to stand up for the innocent unborn souls of the babieas and their mothers. Not a mention that all protections that Missouri law held to try to protect at least some these tiny babies were even mentioned. I pray this amendment does not pass by the grace of God.
