Just a tip, holster your weapon/multitool (hold R) before using any terminals especially the freight elevator one or it will constantly kick you out. That's why it kicked him out of the freight elevator terminal in the video 11:02
There's a couple ways to do bunkers. I like the 'loot everything' style of play, but lately I've found that it's more fun to go in with just a backpack and a gun, take only the best loot in the pack and just leave the rest. Then you can do more missions per hour because you're not fiddling with loot. I do hate that NPCs will respawn and lately I've found my ship gets destroyed while I'm inside the bunker (I think it's npc ships spawning for bounty hunters that do this, but lately I haven't been finding said NPCs flying above the bunker). This type of loop is perfect for something like the 560k UEC C8R Pisces rescue since you can fix your injuries/hydration/food and respawn if you screw up inside the bunker. I prefer doing it in a cutty red though because of the bigger guns.
we do that in a group, sharing all contracts. 1 bunkerrunner on each planetary system, any additional partymember adds to the pool with bounties. once u got all initial certification missions out the way u average about 200k per 7 minutes for each partymember in a 4 to 5 player party. on a lopop server thats 2 mill per hour and rep in all of stanton.
My problem with bunkers right now is that the missions are few in availability, loot boxes hardly spawn, and grinding the reputation takes longer than it does to grind to ERTs. Before they added distribution centers, there used to be all sorts of bunker missions, but now only 2-3 show up while every other mercenary contract is some sort of distribution center mission. I get that the new incentive is to loot the dead guys because they actually carry stuff now, but I still think there are other gameloops that respect your time. Sure, filling up an SCU box or two and selling it is cool, but the thing that always made bunkers interesting to me was the loot crates too; and until they increase the amount of crates spawned, then bunkers will generally be left to those who just like doing them solely for FPS.
Fun video. I like to use a Cutty Red for this exact purpose. Don't even need the cargo box as the cutlass has several weapon racks that work and 2 storage lockers.
Problem with the storage lockers is then you have to run everything in trips to the terminal to get it to station storage, if you have a lot of stuff. So you kinda still need a box unless your not taking much. Im interested to see their solution for this, cause it kinda makes storage in ships useless for looting cause its easier to just throw it all in a box then tractor that box to the Freight.
Last night all the bunkers had NPCs that were immune to gunfire. I had to knife them all. They were teleporting all over the place. But the knife worked well if I could get close enough to rich them.
Beats mine, Had a help security forces mission, NPC shot the guard and he just started attacking me so got crime stat and ship blown up so now I'm trapped at grimhex with many crimes I can't pay off
I also like to check the inventory of the fallen NPCs. In Crusader area, i always leave a bunker with a handful of Scorched compensators and 4x scopes.
I've laid into turrets for five straight minutes with four size 5 attritions on my connie and still never got them to die. That being said, thanks for listing out the bunkers on hurston that are under ninetails control. I don't wanna wreck my Hurston rep.
Last time a tried a bunker in 4.0, I had killed about 30 guys just at the bottom of the elevator, and there was an endless stream still pouring in. I didn't have enough ammo and had to leave, its like it was staffed for a team-sized mission. What I'm seeing here looks fixed, is this on the PTU?
I think the reason you were encountering hostile forces when you returned to the surface would be because the pistol you were using is non-lethal. I believe the buzz is that it's intended down the road for apprehending your bounty and bringing said bounty to incarceration facilities; rather than just summary execution. 😏🤔
Go around 2 km away from target marker, target the turret, then bombard. I find this works best with 4 size 3 attritions, but you should be able to do it with any laser weapons other than scatter guns (double check erkul for ranges) you can kill the turret with 4 size 3s in 1-2 full charges (less if you hit them with all the shots.). Repeat 4x as there are 4 turrets at each bunker. Side note, if the territory isnt trespassing you don't need to kill the turrets. These are usually the missions where you have friendly npcs helping out.
Hold A and tap E. Holding A strafes and just keep reorienting your ship by tapping E and you will naturally start circle strafing them if you are locked on. You need to be close if you want to get it done fast so tap W to get closer. Only hold A tap the others also this is for light fighters, cutty sized ships and up are pretty much impossible.

Intrepid is much squishier, and much less maneuverable, especially side strafing. Would probably be pretty difficult as the only reason you can survive the turrets is by making side strafe loops at higher speeds than they can track.

Esh i thought i just had bad luck, turns out i have great luck and bunkers suck for loot now. Guess that makes sense since they are in safe places. Wish the loot would be more based on location, like in Stanton bunkers you find Stanton security stuff and the like with the other planets.
I just wish we could mass sell it off... Like whole containers. Would prbly save resources on the server too, as im unloading 2scu boxes of loot into the elevator and making that system push it to station inventory lol
@@RokkBeard You can sell whole containers, with loot, in the cargo deck. Just dont quick sell and wait for all the loot to pop up in the list after you hit sell. Not everything in the box will sell.
got 2 questions is it possible to to kill turrets like this, with Cutlass Black? And where to get This store boxes because I don't see them in any space station cargo store...only small ones for 1/8 ((((
I would say it's easier to kill turrets with a cutlass black you're going to die the first couple of times especially when attacking ones at night. Only attack the turrets during the day time at first till you get use to circling around and shooting. It will take forever at first because you really only do damage when your close to the turrets i would say practice circling around the bunker and not getting hit before focus on kill the turrets. You get the boxes in cargo centers at most stations and dumper's depot at landing area's but the cargo centers have a better verity.
I have attempted it with my Cutty black I did not fare very well. My ship is completely stock though and I'm not a very good pilot, so taking down even very low risk targets always takes me forever. What I typically do is pick bunkers with a mountain nearby and hide behind the hills so they can't shoot my ship. Throw a 4X scope on a P4 and you can clean up most of the NPCs as you're running towards the bunker. If I wanted to waste of money on it you can also rent yourself some small transportation to fit inside of your ship. He does a video with a cargo truck holding 2 small crates and I think it fits in his black
I been loving it. It's so fast with just enough space for a loot box. With salvaging components being broken I been looting more gear. When they fix it I'll probably get a bigger ship
@@TheCoreGameplay sorry for all the questions im new. What's broken with salvaging? I was saving for a cutty black from watching one of your other videos. Should i just get a titan then?
@@kentooney5988 cutlass black is the better ship still. Can do way more with it like cargo hauling and roc mining. At the moment when you shoot ships down you can steal their components and use them but right now they're very bugged. If they weren't I would fly the cutlass more because I can salvage other ships components
I have the Cutlass black and my 12-year-old son has the Titan. For casual gameplay and dog fighting the Titan rocks. We've been doing a lot of bunkers lately though as a group and the Cutlass is great for a multi role multi crew salvage/loot ship. All this looting gameplay does really not appeal to me. Regardless, I thank you for your videos because they are really informative. If I ever feel the need (or urge) to do bunkers, I feel much better prepared thanks to you.
