Arabic and hebrew also Aramaic (spoken by Jesus) and Assyrian are Semite languages as they descend from the same source. but of course Arabic is most ancient and much more complicated and richer in words , meanings and vocabularies. Which makes hebrew easier to learn for Arabic speakers.. way easier ..
My dad cleared it up this way for me Hebrew: Jacob (Ya'akov or Israel) Arabic: Ishmael (Yishma'el) Hebrew and Arabic are both similar because they originate from the two half-brothers.

thank you toda raba it's like arabic
maybe it sound like it to non hebrew speakers but the words and sounds are not the same at all
No there is a few similarity beteween the two languages i know hebrew and arabic, If you know arabic you will easely learn hebrew and vise versa
Kai Lemel You should hear the Yemenite Hebrew pronunciation which is said to be the best preserved pronunciation. It's identical to Arabic.
My dad cleared it up this way for me
Hebrew: Jacob (Ya'akov or Israel)
Arabic: Ishmael (Yishma'el)
Hebrew and Arabic are both similar because they originate from the two half-brothers.
Thank you very much, I am very basic to learn Hebrew.
